Great place to go and have your kids experience some hands on learning. My kids loved going through the barns and seeing the animals.
This is one of my favorite places to go in West Michigan and I wish more people knew about it! Awesome for adults and kids. You can get in and interact with so many barn animals. Their animals are well taken care of the kid volunteers are so friendly. Lots of fun programming (especially around Christmas). In the spring, they have lots of babies you can hold. The cat room is a favorite!
I loved this place i always have fun and meet new people when i am here it is also a great place to learn about animals
Great little place to visit with the kids lots of animals to see and pet. Best part it's free, they do accept donations.
So much fun and free! Took my family from out of town and had a blast, kids and adults alike.
Wonderful place to take the kids and it was completely free. We went the first weekend of spring break so it was rather busy. They allowed the kids to feed the baby goats but there were not enough bottles and the event was very disorganized leading to some disappointment. There was a variety of different animals bunnies, chicks, ducks, goats, and pigs. Lots of baby animals were there because of the timing of our visit in early spring. A very authentic experience, but the barns need updating. They are planning to move so that should happen. I'm excited to see the new facilities and take the kids next spring.
Great time for the kids and adults too. Lots of pets to pet.
Loved seeing all of the animals and had a nice tour.
We brought my nephew on a week day. We got there a couple minutes before opening and the parking lot was already full. They kindly asked us to park along he street. After that, things were wonderful. Every person ww spoke with was very friendly. We bought hay and fed goats and pigs. My nephew loved the Yucatan pigs playing in the mud!
This was such a fun place to visit! My kids and parents loved it!
I would definitely recommend! It's free! Donations are welcome. There are a lot of animals you can interact with. The animals are well taken care of. We had such a good time!
( the cows have such personalities! Lol)
My wife and I recently visited the Critter Barn dropping off a donation. I have heard a lot about this place but never had the opportunity to visit. There are certainly some areas of the facility that show a bit of wear and tear, but it is clean and well organized, and the staff are super friendly. The animals all seem well cared for, and we enjoyed walking around and interacting with all of the animals. A wonderful place to bring the family, and a solid consideration for anyone looking to donate to a great cause.
A wonderful place, Mary and the team are awesome..
What's not to love about a farm that's close to home and free? Try to schedule your visit first thing in the morning so you there are fewer people. It is a popular destination for good reason!
So fun and friendly. Love the chance to pet the animals with grandbaby.
Visited critter barn with sons class today. Mary our guide and teacher was absolutely wonderful . Great learning experience for children and adults. So many animals to pet and learn about. It's a farm smells, poop etc give it that authentic farm experience. I would highly recommend visiting !!!!
Second time visiting this farm. They take such great care of the animals and it s nice that we can go in the stalls with them. My daughter and I enjoyed our visit.
Great place to bring the kids for some close interaction with farm animals.
Love coming here, always friendly staff and super cute animals.
Free runs on donations please donate. Super friendly and informative.
Saturday I was looking for a petting zoo to take my 3 year old grand daughter to because she loves animals. After an internet search I found the Critter Barn, not to long of a ride. When we arrived my grand daughter said, "I'm so excited". We met the owner I believe, he was very kind and all smiles. I bought a bucket hay for .50 cents. A young guided us threw most of it, she was very sweet and very informative about the animals. We not only made one round but 6 or 7. My grand daughter had a blast with all the hands on. In fact I had a hard time getting her out of there because she wanted to spend the night with the animals, a little ice cream bribe and we were able to leave. We tried to buy a shirt but that must be the popular size. They have eggs for sale also, farm fresh at that. So we definitely will be returning not only to see the farm animals but to get her a shirt also. She has not stopped talking about yet. Thank you for a awesome day.
Great place for little ones. They have all sorts of farm animals that you can interact with but don't confuse it with a petting zoo. It's like if a petting zoo and a farm had a baby. Highlights were the baby chicks you could hold, the rabbit petting table and the room full of cats (obviously not a highlight for everyone...).
I love it. They don t charge you to get in and they have a lot of different animals that are all friendly.
Perfect place for an afternoon with your kids! We love the Critter Barn. The staff is always to friendly and helpful. Tons to see, do, and learn. You can also schedule events like birthday parties and have an even more guided visit. So thankful Critter Barn is part of the Zeeland community!
Hold bunnies and pet baby sheep... what more does a toddler want out of life?
Great nativity show. The critter barn crew does a great service for the community during the holidays by taking donations in place of an entrance fee.
SO much fun for kids! Staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. Very hands on.
Sometimes all we need is a day at the farm. Feed and pet an array of goats, calves, donkeys, rams, sheep, pigs, rabbits, barn cats, ducks, chicken, and turkeys. Admission is free or by donation.
Critter barn is a great and wonderful place to take the family the staff are very friendly I go there a lot everyone should go check it out you will be glad you did
I took my 2 year old when it was snowing so we spent most of our time indoors, feeding and petting the animals. The barns and grounds were clean (but we did not go near the ducks, geese, etc - no matter where they flock, there will always be poop - take it from a country girl!) My son loved it - we're going back today now that he's 2.5. I hope he has a good time again.
Free admission but the place survives on your donation if you can afford it. When we went there were new baby goats, lambs, rabbits, calves and the agora goats were very pregnant.
We go there once a week during the summer and my kids love it b
We took a 1, 2, 3, 10, 15, 18 year old this morning and they all loved it. They are still talking about it. Already asking to go back. We will be back very soon!!
Our kids absolutely LOVE visiting all the animals here, and especially love feeding them! The staff is very friendly.
This place is amazing. We have made so many great memories here and will definitely be back!
Cute place, great for kids. Great padding animals, very friendly staff
Great place for children to see and pet farm animals!
Fantastic up-close and hands-on experience to educate people about production animals in agriculture. Zeeland's Critter Barn is a long-standing family business dedicated to teaching young people where the food they eat comes from...and the farming practices that sustain our food supply. Lots of chances to interact with all kinds of farm animals ... goats, chickens, rabbits, sheep, geese, ducks, turkeys, cows, donkeys, pigs, and horses.
Fantastic experience for little ones. Many different farm animals for them to see and pet. Plus it operates based on donation, so it makes a great, affordable family trip.
Awesome! What a great family outing! I highly recommend. Everything is hands on and really offers you a up close experience. You learn so much. The staff is very friendly and very helpful! All ages enjoy it!
Love the critter barn! Staff are awesome and work with kids really well
Took my granddaughter here on Saturday and we all had a blast. She would live there if she could Would recommend to everyone who enjoys being around animals, especially if you have young kids. But being an adult I loved it
Delightful and relaxed place to visit. As the name says, it's a barn and has critters. The family presents a live nativity that runs from December 4th to the 28th and is beautiful and insightful. The family at the Critter Barn took a step of faith and operates on donations so that every child can experience the farm (please be generous)
Bunnies to pet and even a Cat pen to visit, which I thought was a cool idea.
We had a great time. We loved the girls very nice.
They knew all about the animals.
Very sweet animas and great people to take care of them!
Hands-on animal handling at a clean, well-kept facility! A variety of farm animals can be seen at this location for a suggested donated fee. Location was easy to access. Staff was super-friendly and attentive to not only the customers, but also the animal's safety and care. Will be returning for more pets and cuddles in the future!
Great weekend activity for children. Kids can play with animals here.
Just visited the live nativity with Lamont Christian! Thank you again! Great story!
Critter barn is so fun for kids... and adults. Such a great concept!
Our family LOVES Critter Barn! It's an amazing and unique hands-on animal experience for all ages (and no admission fee but donations much appreciated). My oldest has taken a few classes here over the years and has now been a member of the volunteer Critter Crew going on 2 years. My next kiddo can't wait to join her big sister in volunteering. We drive nearly 40 minutes to come here and it's completely worth it whether visiting or volunteering. We've done the running of the lambs a few times and it is always so much fun. Do know that they do not have any food (they do have water to pour in cups if needed) and only have porta-pottys. This is until they open their new FARM location (yay!) I highly recommend a visit, taking a class or volunteering. (Do know that parking is extremely limited and they are located on a very busy, very fast road so getting your family up to the barn on a busy day can be a bit scary and challenging)
Great place to take kids to teach them about animals.
The opportunity to bond with a variety of farm animals, makes this a unique experience.
Wally was very polite and kind. It was an awesome place to visit. There's lots of different animals to pet.
Great place to bring your kids. The staff is wonderful and are engaging with the children.
Great place to bring the little ones, feed the animals and have a good time
Very nice place for the kids to interact with farm animals. Educational!
If your kids love animals, this is the spot. So many hands on opportunities with the animals. A decent variety of animals to see. It's free but once you go there you will leave a good donation since they could easily charge and still be one of the best attractions we experienced.
We have been going since my daughter was 3. She never gets tired of seeing the animals, and honestly I don't either Lol! The only flaw is the parking is so small, I really hate the idea of small children on the side of the road, especially when I pass it on the daily drive. They are working in a bigger and better barn so I hope that they are able to achieve that in the near future! A great place for kids to learn about the animals and as they grow they can volunteer too!
I have been studying this place and I think I'm gonna love to go there
Verry friendly staff is amazing it is an amazing friendly environment will go back again and again
Current location is small but has a lots of animals to pet. Very kid friendly
We love the Critter Barn!!! The owners and staff are wonderful! My 4 year old went there for his 3rs birthday last year and we enjoyed it so much(have been a few times now) We also watch the Facebook live videos every day. He gets so excited about seeing them! I also love how the staff is informative and loves to teach the kids. Highly recommend. We can't wait to see the new property!
This is a neat place to go and its FREE!!! Lots of farm animals to look at or handle. Fun time for the whole family.
Cute animals, my son always gets excited to go see the critters.
We really enjoyed the visit! You can make it as long or short of a visit as you'd like!
Friendly Staff. Has a veriaty off animals, from soft cuddlable bunnies, to Cows. I will definitely be visiting this place again.
Nice petting farm. Good charity and helps animals. Kids and families love visiting here. Nice caring owners and staff. Looking forward to new location. Fun family activity. They take donations. Has cats petting pen and goats and more.
Great! It is rustic and real. Met the owner's husband and he was SO nice - as were all of the workers/ volunteers. Excited to visit their new location next year!!!
