This is one of my favorite places to go in West Michigan and I wish more people knew about it! Awesome for adults and kids. You can get in and interact with so many barn animals. Their animals are well taken care of the kid volunteers are so friendly. Lots of fun programming (especially around Christmas). In the spring, they have lots of babies you can hold. The cat room is a favorite!

Wonderful place to take the kids and it was completely free. We went the first weekend of spring break so it was rather busy. They allowed the kids to feed the baby goats but there were not enough bottles and the event was very disorganized leading to some disappointment. There was a variety of different animals bunnies, chicks, ducks, goats, and pigs. Lots of baby animals were there because of the timing of our visit in early spring. A very authentic experience, but the barns need updating. They are planning to move so that should happen. I'm excited to see the new facilities and take the kids next spring.

We brought my nephew on a week day. We got there a couple minutes before opening and the parking lot was already full. They kindly asked us to park along he street. After that, things were wonderful. Every person ww spoke with was very friendly. We bought hay and fed goats and pigs. My nephew loved the Yucatan pigs playing in the mud!

My wife and I recently visited the Critter Barn dropping off a donation. I have heard a lot about this place but never had the opportunity to visit. There are certainly some areas of the facility that show a bit of wear and tear, but it is clean and well organized, and the staff are super friendly. The animals all seem well cared for, and we enjoyed walking around and interacting with all of the animals. A wonderful place to bring the family, and a solid consideration for anyone looking to donate to a great cause.

Saturday I was looking for a petting zoo to take my 3 year old grand daughter to because she loves animals. After an internet search I found the Critter Barn, not to long of a ride. When we arrived my grand daughter said, "I'm so excited". We met the owner I believe, he was very kind and all smiles. I bought a bucket hay for .50 cents. A young guided us threw most of it, she was very sweet and very informative about the animals. We not only made one round but 6 or 7. My grand daughter had a blast with all the hands on. In fact I had a hard time getting her out of there because she wanted to spend the night with the animals, a little ice cream bribe and we were able to leave. We tried to buy a shirt but that must be the popular size. They have eggs for sale also, farm fresh at that. So we definitely will be returning not only to see the farm animals but to get her a shirt also. She has not stopped talking about yet. Thank you for a awesome day.

Great place for little ones. They have all sorts of farm animals that you can interact with but don't confuse it with a petting zoo. It's like if a petting zoo and a farm had a baby. Highlights were the baby chicks you could hold, the rabbit petting table and the room full of cats (obviously not a highlight for everyone...).

I took my 2 year old when it was snowing so we spent most of our time indoors, feeding and petting the animals. The barns and grounds were clean (but we did not go near the ducks, geese, etc - no matter where they flock, there will always be poop - take it from a country girl!) My son loved it - we're going back today now that he's 2.5. I hope he has a good time again.

Fantastic up-close and hands-on experience to educate people about production animals in agriculture. Zeeland's Critter Barn is a long-standing family business dedicated to teaching young people where the food they eat comes from...and the farming practices that sustain our food supply. Lots of chances to interact with all kinds of farm animals ... goats, chickens, rabbits, sheep, geese, ducks, turkeys, cows, donkeys, pigs, and horses.

Delightful and relaxed place to visit. As the name says, it's a barn and has critters. The family presents a live nativity that runs from December 4th to the 28th and is beautiful and insightful. The family at the Critter Barn took a step of faith and operates on donations so that every child can experience the farm (please be generous)
Bunnies to pet and even a Cat pen to visit, which I thought was a cool idea.

Hands-on animal handling at a clean, well-kept facility! A variety of farm animals can be seen at this location for a suggested donated fee. Location was easy to access. Staff was super-friendly and attentive to not only the customers, but also the animal's safety and care. Will be returning for more pets and cuddles in the future!

Our family LOVES Critter Barn! It's an amazing and unique hands-on animal experience for all ages (and no admission fee but donations much appreciated). My oldest has taken a few classes here over the years and has now been a member of the volunteer Critter Crew going on 2 years. My next kiddo can't wait to join her big sister in volunteering. We drive nearly 40 minutes to come here and it's completely worth it whether visiting or volunteering. We've done the running of the lambs a few times and it is always so much fun. Do know that they do not have any food (they do have water to pour in cups if needed) and only have porta-pottys. This is until they open their new FARM location (yay!) I highly recommend a visit, taking a class or volunteering. (Do know that parking is extremely limited and they are located on a very busy, very fast road so getting your family up to the barn on a busy day can be a bit scary and challenging)

If your kids love animals, this is the spot. So many hands on opportunities with the animals. A decent variety of animals to see. It's free but once you go there you will leave a good donation since they could easily charge and still be one of the best attractions we experienced.

We have been going since my daughter was 3. She never gets tired of seeing the animals, and honestly I don't either Lol! The only flaw is the parking is so small, I really hate the idea of small children on the side of the road, especially when I pass it on the daily drive. They are working in a bigger and better barn so I hope that they are able to achieve that in the near future! A great place for kids to learn about the animals and as they grow they can volunteer too!
