critters barn for all the kids have. Great idea. Many animals that are lovingly cared for super. Very nice staff, many young animals. It's worth passing by. With so many animals it is appropriate and of course to give a donation. great

Had to park along the side of the main road because they don't have parking. Then crossed the street with little children. It's by appointment only. Didn't know that until we got there. There were 10 animal pins, 3 were empty. Couldn't get to the horses, so technically 4. Workers were very friendly though. And the bucket of feed is cheap.

Free and educational environment for young children to learn about barn animal's. Get to spend time petting and feeding these animals. Teaches children to be gentle and letting them interact with animals from the barn.

You cannot park in what they called a parking lot unless you are handicap. Parking was on a very busy road so good luck with that. Staff was not has friendly other the then young man that greeted you to confirm the tickets that was bought on line. Reviews for the past 2 years thanked for the donates that were giving to help build a new farm but the only improvements I saw was construction on there private home not for the animal's. Very disappointing to see the animal's in such a very small area.

We enjoyed all the critters but were deeply disappointed to see that they support battery cages for their egg-laying hens. Not only do they support it but they "educate" patrons on how "comfortable" the hens are. As much as we liked seeing the critters, we won't be supporting them in the future.

Great petting zoo, really nice staff, my daughter loved it, lots of different farm animals to see and interact with would highly recommend for a family with young kids. They dont have a lot of the rides that other "farms" have, but theirs it much more authentic. So may not be great for older kids, but great for young kids or to let older kids volunteer at and leave life skills.

Donate. To. This. Farm. It is so awesome!! As two adults who love one on one animal attractions, this is the place. Every animal looks content and have enough space to roam. The staff is super friendly and inviting as well. It s 50 cents for a bucket of hay to feed a lot of the animals. They have giant bunnies! A barn full of kittens! Will definitely be back.

Awesome place for family fun. Plus it is conveniently located off 196 so access is easy. Animals appeared to be treated extremely well. Management had staff in each area ensuring guests treated animals appropriately and enforcing "no touch" rules where animals needed it. The staff seamed dedicated to their purpose and always willing to inform and assist guests. However there was plenty to touch, see and experience. All the animals were extremely well socialized. Most didn't even flinch when approached from outside their line of sight as I saw A LOT of kids doing. And some eagerly approach people wanting interaction. My second favorite animal was the absurdly hair bunnies (forgot the breed name) and first favorite was the sheep dog in the pen with the sheep. He/she was a sweetie who adored human affection. How often do kids today get a chance to touch and interact let alone see up close such a variety of animals? A GREAT experience for them. I could go on but suffice it to say I highly recommend this place for kids age 1 - 101. To top it off there is no entry fee and thus affordable for any budget, although I encourage everyone to consider donating what they can. I grew up on a farm and know how much work and money they are to operate. There is no place else I am aware of where you can have such an enriching experience and is open to all w/o nickle and dime-ing you. P.S. Enjoy the smells of nature, it is what complete's the farm experience. ;)

Our kids had the best time here! This is a very cool "teaching" farm with many young kids working alongside adults, learning about farm animals. The staff was attentive and willing to engage our kids as they walked around and got to play with the animals.

Location is somewhat treacherous if you don't get to park in the (small) lot behind the house. We got there 5 mins before it opened on a Thursday and snagged one of the last few spots. It's situated on a busy road, but they are raising money (and have raised a great deal already) for a new, larger location. I'd highly recommend stopping in with kids as it provided a lot of entertainment for our 3.

Such a cool place. I brought my 2 year old grandson here today and he absolutely loved it. I could barely get him to leave! He loved being able to be close to and pet the animals especially all the rabbits and goats. He was fascinated with the big billy goat they have there. They said they are building a new place which is great but hopefully they don't change too much! This place has a nice relaxed farm feel.

Very disappointed. My daughter was looking forward to doing a shadow day for school at the critter barn. I was told by the receptionist that they have done this before and that it shouldn't be a problem. She told me she had to check and she would then get back to me. A couple days went by and I and never heard from them. I called again and she never apologized. She told me to email Mary. I emailed. A week went by never got a response. I went there talked to some volunteers.... They couldn't help me. I called again left a message. Never got a call back. I understand if it doesn't work but at least contact me with a yes or a no. My daughter's friend also tried to email for her shadow day as well and had the same thing happen to her.... Never got a reply and never called back. I don't leave reviews and I have never, and don't like to leave bad reviews but this was uncalled for. Very rude and not a good example for the kids.

While we tried to enjoy the barn, the lack of enforcing their own mask rules hindered that as most people and very few kids beyond our own had masks on. Also, while I like the concept of the little bunny corner, it was not well managed as there was no time limit and being inside masks should have been enforced even more than outside.

Lots of friendly animals and might come back, but I wouldn't recommend during covid times.

Was very fun. Kids had a blast feeding and petting the animals. I'm glad to hear they are getting a larger location with better parking. Currently it's a tiny lot with 1 hc space (that I saw) and room for maybe 15ish other cars right where kids are walking through to get to more animals. There were cars parked at least 1/2 mile down the road on both sides in either direction.

We had a birthday party here and Lisa did an hour and a half tour with the kids. She did such an amazing job with making sure the children were handling the animals correctly and safely. My daughter had a specific animal she wanted to see and Lisa made sure that she had a special moment with it! I was a little nervous that it would be overwhelming for the kids but it was so well organized and she was so patient! 100% would do it again. Afterwards we met one of the owners and thanked him, he was so humble and made us feel like family.

Fun place to take your kiddos to have hands on activity with farm animals. Good place to learn and an opportunity to send your older children to volunteer during the summer! Remember to bring some cash for the kids to drop in the donations boxes. :-) There's also a picnic area, which is nice to sit at and rest while you snack.

Our boys had so much fun at the Critter Barn! This is the most hands on animal farm we have ever been to & they just loved it! Lots of different animals to see & pet! There is no admission fee, but they do accept donations to help with up-keep of their awesome Petting Farm so the public continue to enjoy it year after year!

We have wanted to visit the Critter Barn ever since seeing the movie "The Christmas Bunny" with Florence Henderson on Netflix streaming. Part of the movie was filmed here. Today we drove 70 miles from our home to see the Live Nativity. It was easy to get to via I-196 at Exit 52. The place was so busy they were offering the nativity performance every 30 minutes. The show was casual yet beautiful, held among white string lights in a hay-strewn stable and included two live sheep. Afterward there were many furry critters to pet and touch. My son spent the most time picking up 2-day-old peeps. We were amazed at rabbits that did not jump from low tables and were patient with hugs from little ones. Staff members were nearby to show us how to properly pick up and hold the critters. There were many delightful photo ops. We stayed about 90 minutes -- longer than I expected. We paid no admission fee and no donations were asked. We plan to return in the spring for educational events.

So many hands-on, up close experiences for the family to discover and learn from. It is a farm, so be prepared for animal smells and animal droppings by wearing boots or old tennis shoes and play clothes. Friendly staff and plenty to see and do!

We absolutely loved this barn. Extremely interactive and so well maintained. My only negative comment - there was a field trip going on and our two year old wanted to join in on the lesson they were giving on the sheeps and goats. We were basically shut out of the gate and then rudely approached by a staff member well If he s going to scream, he may as well come in . He is two! He doesn t understand and we were already there when the class came in! Otherwise a wonderful experience

This is a really cute animal farm where the kids can get hands on experience with everything from goats and bunnies to ducks and chicks, cats and cows. It's all donation based and just 50 cents for a bucket of hay to feed the animals. It's a fun, educational, inexpensive thing to do with the kids!

We took out grandaughter but were very disappointed in how the animals were cared for, the ducks pool and drinking water was low and full of feathers, to many animals in one cages together. Chicken very dirty. Many kids working there but not doing much for the animals. Very disappointed, plus it smelled real bad. Hope the new place is cleaner fo your r the animals. Well go look at how many rabbits are stuck in cages , not much of a life. Change your fly strips a little more offen. I live on a farm and i know how animals should live, you just have too many of some. My grandaughter is 5 and liked the hands on, but didn't like the intense smell. Sorry but I'm all for the well being of the animals.
