A good venue for press conferences, though kind of small. Usually has good stage technology, and cold A/C which is great for weather in Socal!

Loved the holiday scenery, watching others ice skate!

Ok to kill some time and grab a bite to eat before or after a Lakers game or a Movie.

However, you have showed the world how to be a great father for your children, especially if your a father with daughters. My 1st NBA game I went to was right before your prime you were still learning the game and now you are the G.O.A.T. The NBA should change the logo to you and the Staples Center is now know as The Staples Center "The House Kobe Bryant Built."

Laker game, concert and the theater, traffic was flowing

It s a good theater kind of fancy, but it needs on upgrade on many areas for example like service.

They have some ok dining and ok shopping just usually pretty busy and bad parking

Conveniently located in Los Angeles' rapidly growing downtown area lies LA LIVE. LA LIVE is a dedicated area that houses various and sundry touristy inspired events, restaurants, hotels, concerts, sports facilities as well as a Convention Center. If you secure a hotel room in the LA LIVE area (most hotels in this area are "Marriott based) there are a plethora of restaurants from which to dine and the range of food from which to choose is breathtaking. (Sushi, standard American, Italian, seafood, steak, etc.) You can conveniently find a restaurant to suit your varied tastes. Its also a great place to hang if you want to go check out either a Laker or Clippers game (the Staples Center in approximately a one minute walk from the JW Marriott LA LIVE Hotel, for example) or you can check out a first run movie at the Regal Cinema Theatre across the street from the JW Marriott hotel (again a one minute walk). Or if you'd like to go bowling there's a bowling alley connected to LA LIVE as well!

OMG!!!!!!.....THERE WERE SO MANY BEAUTIFUL WOMEN OF ALL SHAPES, SIZES AND COLORS!!!!!....AND ALL DIFFERENT AGES!!!....I SAW A FEW GRANDMOTHERS GETTING THEIR SHAKE ON!!!!!....THE STAFF WERE NICE AND THE PLACE WAS WONDERFUL KEEP CLEAN!! THE FEMALE DJ WAS ON POINT!!! SURROUND SYSTEM WAS POPPING!!!

The East LA Meets Napa annual fundraiser is the event of the summer for Alta Med. It's the best way to try new and established restaurants and pair their foods with great tasting wines.

Gold Ballroom has gigantic (structural) pillars not great for a seated event. Some people couldn't see speaker, if seated by pillars.

Amazing experience great events check it out. By the way amazing restaurants to choose from.

Awesome idea to give people options in the immediate downtown area after an event

Awesome outdoor venue. They have many events here, and a huge ice skating rink in the winter. As others have mentioned, parking is very expensive ($30+) or very far away. If you can, take public transportation and save yourself the headache. It is a great vibe especially at night, with plenty of restaurants, bars, and a movie theater.

For nightlife, entertainment and dining, this is the place to be in downtown LA!

Great place to grab a bite or a drink and people watch

rock & fish was good food...parking sucks if you have the ticket taken off the table and pay 30 when you lose the ticket.

Good. This place offers a good variety of entertainment options as well as restaurants, bars and clubs. Seasonal decoration, ice ring, Christmas trees, etc. Make all a good evening experience. You can go to a concert or a Lakers game, and then for a walk or to eat out or clubbing, all in the same place. Good planning people.

The block party was great, lots of performers and pop up shops. All the restaurant deals were amazing.

Giant hotel. Great rooms for big events. All the bells and whistles you d expect with this type of hotel, which is true for the bar. Two drinks for $32, no biggie lol

this came from dirt, literally. what used to be a parking lot in a somewhat seedy part of town, is now a bustling entertainment center. why 3 stars? it's a pain to get in and out, parking can get pricey, and the food options trend towards the upscale.

I ended up taking my family here for a bit of light entertainment on a Sunday night in the form of Mixed Martial Arts over watered down beers and candy heeled strippers there to help in their sponsorship for the night. I'd recommend it to anyone who is up for a chill little venue that lacks chairs and space on counters to lean on but doesn't care if they have to hog and crowd the space they get once got until done. Otherwise go to the staple center and be like the rest.

I love this place so much because the lights are so bright and it's just a cute place to stroll through especially if you have a dog

cool area to check out and hang before games. Nice statues of former great LA players. A few good restaurants too. Yardhouse is great.

Great eateries, lively atmosphere. Parking is tough and expensive, I suggest taking the subway.
