Several years ago my husband and I needed an assisted living for my mother in law. My husband went to The Commons on Marice he was warmly welcomed and my mother in law who is now 89 years old has been in a safe comfortable home. I cannot begin to tell you the difference in her life getting good care along with wonderful meals.
Almost 3 years ago my father who was the primary caregiver for my mother who has severe COPD passed away suddenly. This happened on a Sunday and with the help of the staff at The Commons on Marice my mother also moved into The Commons on Marice three days later.
Again I cannot begin to tell you what a relief it was for my family to know that my mother was safe and being well cared for. My family visits often at The Commons on Marice they all know our names and we too are always warmly welcomed. I would highly recommend The Commons on Marice . I smile each time I walk in to see my mother and mother in law in the same home who would have thought!!!

My family's experience with The Commons on Marice runs deep. We have had both of my parents living there this past year plus. My father passed away on June 29th, while in Hospice in his room at the Commons. The care provided to him by nursing staff, administration, recreation staff, and everyone there was Hallmark Hall of Fame Movie-Level excellent.

Truly. I could not believe the level of competence, compassion, and care. EVERY ONE of the staff who came in to check on Dad, check on us, come off of their "day off" (seriously!) to see how he was doing in his final days and hours there....was fabulous.

Their care of him while he was healthy was wonderful, too. And in his final days and moments, they joined us in tears and holding his hand.

The love, the care ~ is second to none. I would do a commercial for The Commons. I am very serious. My Father died in the most loving place possible. The people there are people with whom I would want anyone who has the need for care, to spend their final days.

My Mom is still there. No place on Earth we'd rather have her.

Thank-you for reading!

After spending every penny of his life savings staying here for the last 6 years, my elderly soon to be 95 year old grandfather has been evicted and have been given notice that they will stop giving him care in five days. Although the state pays for his residence, Commons is no longer able to care for him due to changes they have chosen to make in their administration. In recent months the care has been lacking to say the least. He has been left unshaven and smelly lately as they seem understaffed. One can hope. This is deeply troubling to my family. In addition to the ridiculous timeline for ending his care the administration has been completely unhelpful in providing resources to help my family move him. This is no ways to treat an elder, my grandfather, a kind/gentle person, and a veteran.

My Parents are residents in the Pearl Garden at The Commons in Eagan, Minnesota.

We recently celebrated their 69th Wedding Anniversary on site in the Atrium and Clubroom....I want to communicate how absolutely pleased my family is knowing that our Parents are able to be together and being cared for by such a devoted staff. The Services offered at The Commons are on an "Ale Carte" basis which is truly a blessing...

Over the years we've had to add to their Services needed as their aging process changed, but we are so glad that those options were available to ensure our Parents safety and dignity are managed daily and timely.

It's a part of their journey that we feel passionate about as a family and are truly thankful for the compassion and kindness that the entire staff consistently deliver.....

As a former home care companion to one of the residents living there, I can tell you that the building is beautiful inside and out but the level of care they receive is nothing short of neglect. Often my client's medications were given late..hours late, and even then only after multiple complaints.

The staff is supposed to do a daily well check, had they done their jobs, she would most likely still be alive.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the Commons! The staff is friendly and takes time to get to know and help every single person that lives there. The building is consistently clean and the grounds are well maintained. The nurses and cna's take time and consideration into everyone they help.

My Grandparents were moved here after an unexpected health turn. My Grandfather was living in their memory care ward on the fourth floor (he had Alzheimer's) and my grandmother was living there with assistance on the third floor. The Commons did everything they could to keep them comfortable and active. Over the last month my grandfather had taken a turn and was placed on hospice. Gratefully he was able to stay at The Commons until he passed. My grandmother is still living there and they have been over the top wonderful to our family during this time.

They have gone out of their way to help and the staff could not be nicer! While my grandfather was on hospice at the Commons my mom and my aunt decided to stay over a few nights in his room with him and the staff went above and beyond from getting them breakfast to helping them get settled in for those hard nights. I could think of a better place for my Grandparents to have been there together and I feel relieved knowing that my Grandma is in such wonderful care.

My experience with The Commons on Marice has been outstanding. I had a situation with my father one summer and needed help and assistance with his living arrangements. I contacted the facility and they were very, very accommodating.

They were able to work through our needs quickly and efficiently; we felt very supported through the whole situation. I was able to get his needs met as those needs shifted and changed through the summer.

The facility itself is amazing - very beautiful. The staff is amazing - kind, caring, accommodating and supportive. I would highly recommend The Commons to anyone that is looking for a well run, sound facility to support their family through this season of life.

This facility is like the Ritz Carleton of nursing homes. Well landscaped and gorgeous plantings outside and very luxurious inside. Gives you a feeling of being in a 5 star hotel. Residents all seem well attended to and happy. The unit of the person we visited was spacious and cheerful. She is very happy with her surroundings and pleased with the meals and staff...
