Service was great. Food was average. Hidden and difficult to find.

Used to love this bar and lite food menu, but the choices of food have been so depleted that I will never go for a meal. Love the the vibes when Amtrak comes speeding through, shaking the place up.

Old place and it shows... not that it's bad, it's just old and sticky... needs renovation.

Place is decent, food was"ok" took about 25 mins for a burger and soup with two other customers on a slow day. Food wasnt even hot, and on top of that i had to listen to the owner in the both next to me argue with a vendor over ordering food supplies, thats why you have an office. Highly recommend walking up the street to somewhere better.

Had the best Oktoberfest meal here on Saturday. Delicious food, great drinks and lively, fun atmosphere. Will come back and bring friends!!

Good food with some vegan & vegetarian options. We had good service, it's so nice to sit outside in the warm weather.

We loved our food at the cold spring depot! We weren't starving so we got a salad and appetizers to share. We picked the garlic truffle fries, the shrimp salad and chips and guacamole. They were all so good! It was a fun setting right next to the train tracks. We love the town of Cold Spring and the overall vibe. We can't wait to come back!

Great little place, nice restaurants, great little antique shops, beautiful large area right at rivers edge with a gazebo and benches.

After a hike my group came here. Great burgers that are large. Beer selection could be bigger

Great food and beautiful day to outdoors on the patio. You get a real "depot" experience as the train goes by every 30 min.

Great historic location alongside the train tracks and a good location to walk to the Hudson River and see sunset. Warmer months a jazz, banjo or "oldtime music" band performs in the gazebo, free. Great music and wonderful atmosphere and experience.

Repeat customer. Great restaurant at the bottom of Main Street. Lots of outdoor seating, but get there by 1130. People are already in line and it's worth it. Try the BBQ burger and homemade cranberry cole slaw! Good food, drink, staff. Large outdoor bar with sports on TVs. Trains go by often, can be loud for a few seconds, but kids get a kick out of it. Because most seating outside, need more attention to wipe down of tables, chairs and grounds, but not a big deal compared to the atmosphere.

Had Shredded Beef Nachos topped by sliced pickled vegetables and it was great. The restaurant was built from a renovated train station. From inside you can see the trains go by. Out back you can enjoy a meal and/or drinks and can be even closer to the trains. Very clean restaurant and restroom. Very attentive service. Great for train and small town buffs. Definitely will be returning!

They used to have a larger selection. The food was ok the second time around. Pleasant atmosphere but I prefer I wider selection of food like before. Don t think I ll be back anytime soon.

Great spot for hikers and train lovers, few feet from tracks! Outdoor and indoor bars, great food.

Chicken sandwich was the bomb and the cheesecake was on point.

This place is amazing. Their truffle fries are out of this world. I've been here several times. It's one of my favorites.

Food is good to great. Fun when the trains fly by right outside the large, pretty outdoor seating.

This is my local watering hole. It has had its ups and downs. And usually the downs are bad. Since the closing of the outdoor clam bar the place is on the downside. Service is always fair considering the volume. But they need to find a replacement for Nasim. Poppy has been there forever, great server!

Only got French fries and beer. The fries were good. They were out of the first two beers I asked about (only had seven on draft, so that s a low batting average for keeping beer in stock). The servers/FOH seem either frantic or lackadaisical.

I have never experienced such terrible customer service in my entire life. I eat out all the time and I was appalled by the service. When we approached the restaurant to wait for a table it took them forever to greet us. When someone finally greeted us we were told for a table of 5 they didn't have anything available and asked us to sit at the bar. This was not ideal since we wouldn't be able to conversate and see one another however we agreed and ordered drinks. Anytime we saw a table available we asked if we could sit. We were told we couldn't add a chair to a 4 top. However, a 5 top became available and we were told we couldn't sit. We explained that we waiting for a table and then finally a woman said ok sit here and brought our drinks over. We settle to continue having our drinks and a man came over explaining that we messed up his system and that we couldn't stay and took our drinks and dumped them.

We eat out all the time and it is surely common practice that if your sitting at the bar and want a table you will get the next table available. This is not considered out of the ordinary.

Nice restaurant with great service and great food along with great ambiance. I love train station Depot like restaurants. I just wish they had more of a selection on their menu so that they would be more to choose from and it would bring me back multiple times if there was more of a variety on the menu.

If you want to spend about $18 for a hamburger this is the place for you. Most of the restaurants in Cold Spring are the same. Very high prices for average food. Tourist trap.

The lunch we had was good. Bacon cheese burger with shoestring fries, spinach ravioli and entree salad. Great view of the river from dinning room.

Fun atmosphere. Good bar tenders. The food is very good. Price are not terrible. But, expect to pay about 5% more. Occasion oompah band. The members of the band generally average 113 years old. But they are a lot of fun to listen to. If you're on a bike definitely stop here. If you're not on a bike definitely stop here.

Good comfort food. Next to the railroad tracks and a couple of blocks from the Hudson River. Looks like a nice outdoor patio in the summer.

Great outside bar to the restaurant where you can sit out enjoy a great selection of beers and food while watching the trains roll into the station just a few minutes walk away. Best damn Lobster Roll I ve had since I ve been in the US and the fries were pretty good too!! Just what s needed after a long days hike.

I was a little disappointed on the menu is very limited BUT the flavors of the food were delicious. We split the chicken sandwich and Watermelon salad. The dressing was divine n I almost minty flavored. The fruit was fresh n very nice on a hot day. Our waitress was outstanding. Very helpful and eager to help in decision making. I apologize for missing her name but she was a short haired blonde woman. Thank her again for me. The place was very clean except the bathroom (mens) could have been checked more often but it is a bar as well. I will return

Location has nice outdoor space. Service is friendly but slow. Food was utterly disappointing. Really unfortunate, this place has tons of potential but has managed to completely miss the mark.

Food was Great ,charming place stopped in for both lunch and supper. Staff was nice. Loved the octopus tacos and cheeseburgers. Will be back again. Cold Spring= Pretty Place

Had a grapefruit old fashioned off their cocktail menu and the pulled pork quesadilla. The grapefruit old fashioned seemed like just thing to have on their patio on a summer night and the pulled pork quesadilla tasted better than you are thinking it would taste AND I know you are already thinking there is no way you can go wrong with pulled pork and quesadilla. I'm a little worried I will never order something new off their menu because I liked what I had so much I am for sure going to reorder it.

Today's visit was less than usual. The waiter was callow. The Portobello mushroom on the burger was cold and tasted of refrigerator. But worse were the yellow jackets. One managed to climb my MC boot, under my jeans, and stung me.
I will try another day though, and not tolerate being buzzed.... ;)

Absolutely terrible customer service. After placing order, waited over 1 hour for food to be served ( we had a party of 4 where 3 ordered "deluxe" hamburger plates, and 1 ordered ribs ). Hamburgers OK but pricey at $ 13. Manager just told us that the kitchen was busy causing the delays. We did notice that others that came in after us were served and finished their meals before we were even served. No adjustment was made to our tab - we paid full price and will never go back there again.
Avoid this establisment unless you like to wait! Horrible experience!

Cozy restaurant and nice atmosphere, good standard comfort food, friendly service.

Fun dining indoor and outdoor. Upbeat staff and responsive service. If choosing to eat outside, know that the train tracks are very nearby; it's pretty intense when the non-local flies by with a roar. All conversation stops as you endure the decibels.

Small menu but still the best steak sandwich I've ever had. Love their beer selection (and how it's organized in a way that encourages one to try new beers). Don't sit outside if you don't want a few trains passing by while you eat. I went with my wife and kids and my kids enjoyed the trains.

Locals place, nice spot to sit by the tracks with kids (or anyone who loves trains). Food is getting better!

Enjoyed Truffle fries and portobello burger. Note that very loud fast trains pass quite close to outdoor seating, could be experienced as disruptive or thrilling or even enlivening or more depending on your mood and resultant creative emotional prowess.

Went on a motorcycle ride to Bear Mountain and drove through Cold Springs as part of the trip and stopped for lunch. We ate outside. It was a beautiful day. Food and service were excellent. I had a steak sandwich and loved it.

Great food. Fabulous bloody Mary. The wait staff was not only friendly, but on the ball. Even the Owner Tara came by our table to talk to us, make sure we enjoyed our meals. We did!!!!
Glad we sat outside so we could hear/see the trains going by.

the vibe is good staff is decent however the ribs fell off.. it was really good then recently idk what happen but its not the melt in your mouth ribs i remember now its like recooked, hard, then they getting cheap with the fries which i like. last time they made the fries like it was recooked.. burger is still good but when i want ribs ill go to another one nearby not as good tasting as the way depot was but better than what it is now.

Don't bother spending your time or money here. Very disinterested staff who find it bothersome to serve the customer.
Expensive.
Go back to basics.
