The location of this place is close to the campus. Great placce to stay if your kid has to move in or graduate. In fact I would stay here... it has a nice campus feel to this place. Lush greens and historic buildings and close to Franklin street. What more can anyone ask for

The original section of the hotel was built in 1923 1924 on the site of the chapel that gave the town of Chapel Hill its name. It is on the National Registry of Historical Places.
It reminds me of my old sorority in college. It's hallways are covered in historical photos of prominent Alumni throughout the hallways and rooms. It is a quaint hotel with a traditional feel. The service is wonderful as well.

We came here for our "fancy date night" and our waiter was absolutely fantastic. He noticed we got engaged and brought us out this sweet plate to celebrate. The hostess was AMAZING (I think she was somewhat new) but she ensured we had a private area to sit so he could propose and then showed us around the hotel and ballrooms with unbridled excitement. It was a great experience, and the food was fantastic. We'll be back!

Fridays on the front porch are my personal favorite live music and food trucks! Bring a blanket and set up on the lawn on the early side. The drinks are a bit pricey but it s a nice night out overall.

Remember to use . when booking your room. This site will compare hundreds of booking websites and typically will have rooms much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the highest rated in this area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you won't be let down.

This is a gorgeous property right on UNC s campus. Rooms are in great condition and the service here is excellent. The gym is small and was a bit messy both times I visited, but that didn t detract much from my experience.

Nice cozy hotel with super nice hospitality. The room was well cleaned with nothing to complain about. Towels were soft and fluffy. We were on the first floor and initially worried about noise, but once in the room, we here no noise from outside or from hallway throughout my stay in there. Everywhere in the hallway, a lot of pictures of famous NC people pictures and wish had time to read about more. It is just like little NC museums.
It is close to Franklin street and campus, that s a really plus for UNC parents!!
