What an amazing venue to see a show, and such a rich history of musical acts performing there too! I went to see Pink Talking Fish's Junta Circus general admission. There was a lot of room to walk around, the sound was great, the vibes were great. What a great memory!

I will never go back. I was there with my wife and kids (over 18) and a group of old friends and was rudely asked to leave for "buying" to many drinks. The whole experience was embarrassing and unnecessary. After sharing my story I have gotten feedback from other concert goers of similar situations. It appears they hire uneducated unreasonable people who's life accomplishment is being a bouncer at a mid level concert hall.

The Capitol is a fantastic place to see a show; holding only around 1800 people, its a perfect venue to get close to the artists. You can grab a beer and enjoy the show too. Good restaurants around as well.

One of the best indoor concert venues I have ever been to. The inside is plenty spacious to the point where I never felt crowded, and the classical architecture is absolutely stunning. Highly recommend seeing a show here!

The 'Cap' is my favorite mid size venue in the tri-state region. Parking is always available within a couple of blocks and the nearby area has great restaurants. The building itself is beautiful and its rock and roll history esp for jam banders is unmatched. Garcia's bar as part of the ground level makes the experience complete! The staff and ushers are the best.

Without The Capitol Theatre in Westchester we wouldn't have a solid venue for great musicians to perform. I've seen at The Capitol: Bob Dylan, Snoop Dog, Toots and the Maytals, and many other talented artists.

Listen...I've seen a lot of shows in my time. Too many to count, but if you're counting...it's like 532. And the most important part of ANY show isn't who's playing, how they sound, who you're with, or any of that. Trust me when I tell you, the VENUE defines the show. An amazing venue can make the worst sounding pile of crap enjoyable, and a terrible venue can ruin a perfect performance.

And to be honest, there about 10 time more venues than I hate than ones I love. I'm pretty picky I think, and at this point in my life I rarely find a venue that makes it to the top of the list. The Capitol Theatre did, and does...and is.

Everything from the location of the place, the lobby, the layout of the bars, the fancy staircases and chandelier, literally...everything makes this place awesome. Staff was some of the friendliest I've ever dealt with, drinks were well made and reasonably priced, even the parking was awesome.

Of course, the 2 most important things about a venue are the views and the sounds. Granted, I was only here once, and it was an acoustic show...but we did enough roaming around to get a good feel for the sound. And it was amazing, everywhere. Same with the views. We were in row 5 on the floor, so...obviously good view there. But we went up to the few of the balconies and higher seats and literally couldn't find a bad seat in the house.

The place has like an amazing old world charm, and it's really one not to be missed. If you ever get the opportunity to experience it, I'd suggest you jump at it. And if you decide to create yourself an opportunity...then even better!

Great

I traveled from Spain to see The Black Crowes on 10/21/2013 and the truth is that I left the concert delighted. The site as such is a pass, the beautiful theater, an incredible acoustics and a magnificent decoration. The theater staff who attended us at the door upon arrival (a blonde lady and a gentleman) as friendly and pleasant as you can find.
I hope I can come back one day and repeat experience.
100% recommended if you have the opportunity to see a show there.

Literally the worst experience I've ever had at a venue. My boyfriend was attacked by another man in the crowd, for "being in his spot" (there are no seats), and we were both thrown out before the second song. Not my problem this man was angry, but apparently we were still unworthy of seeing the show. Drove two hours, got a hotel room, and paid for tickets, but the capitol theater can't do anything for us. Venue was beautiful but the staff is not concerned for anyone's safety.

Shorty was so kind to me when the Decemberists were playing. I had a medical emergency, and she treated me with dignity, compassion, and respect. I m fine - but I ll never forget her kindness and caring that night. I wish I had posted this sooner. Thank you!

One of NY's Greatest Venues in the 'burbs! Restored to it's glory and man has it delivered! Boasting the best line ups around. Drinks are reasonably priced (as concert venues go) and there's even waitress service to some areas. Steps from the Metro North train station makes this super convenient from anywhere! Head to Garcia's for the post show concert too!

I really loved this venue, it's a real throw back to all the old classic theatres. It's a great place to see a show as there isn't a bad seat in the house. Parking is a little tough here so come early. And make sure you visit Garcia's the bar that's attached.

This venue is absolutely gorgeous, the architecture is incredible, the vibe is positive and easygoing. The floor section of the venue slopes to ensure that everyone can enjoy the view. Very good experience at this venue while listening to my favorite band live.

The space is beautiful. The acoustics aren't the very best of all the places of I've been to but not annoyingly bad either. Very close to the train station back to NY if needed. I enjoy coming to this venue for concerts. Amazing mexican restaurant a couple of stores down.

First time there was December 21st for Del Mccoury. Ticket was a gift from a friend. GREAT GIFT!!! Awesome show in an absolutely beautiful and historic venue. Even the staff were fantastic. I'm definitely going back soon. If you get a chance definitely go. You won't be disappointed.

I love the capitol theater! It's a little bit of a hike for me but I still absolutely love going up there! I've learned after my first two shows to get balcony seats as the floor usually gets really crowded and hot. The balcony is great and in my opinion it has better sound there! Most of the staff are dead heads and jam music fans so it's great to chat with them. Always a great time here and always a great crowd.
