The Cannon Theatre is a family owned theater that puts on musicals and family friendly shows throughout the year. They also offer great singing and acting classes for kids!
A small, intimate theater with superb performances. They have a variety of genres. I have especially enjoyed their British comedies and mysteries. I also like that their performances are family friendly. You might get an occasional mild swear word but other than that, they are clean.
Sweet little theater doing all kinds of innovative things! Shawn Cannon is a creative producer, writer, director. I've seen three shows there so far, and am now participating in my first. I love the community feel of the place and enjoy the closeness I get with the productions.
My sister performs there regularly and the plays put on are always fantastic. Cheap prices and good events. Seating is a bit lacking because of the space but that would be my only complaint
Very good experience for such a small theatre. Will definitely come back to see more performances!
Great theater for local productions. Have seen many family friendly shows at The Cannon Theatre. The latest was James and the Giant Peach. It was very funny and entertaining.
Small quaint theater with great shows
at an above expected theatrical experience.
Great theater experience! The cast and crew did an excellent job. The singing was very nice. They only have 50 seats so don't expect to be able to show up without tickets.
Mary Poppins
Great show with fantastic choreography, outstanding costume. Jordyn Cooper was stunning as Mary only to be over taking by the acting and voice of Abby Tuner as Jane which stole the show...5 's
Fun little theater group in a enchanting strange building. Lots of heart.
This is a great community theater seating under 100 people, providing a close up experience, with competent actors and helpful staff.
We've seen probably about 5 plays at this theater. For the price (dirt cheap) it's a great value. This theater is dependable for an entertaining night, for sure. And they even have several young-child-friendly productions each year, which is great for parents with young kids like us. The only issues that come along with this place are inherent with what it is, and where it is. Specifically, it's a community theater, so expect there to be lots of stumbled/mumbled lines, especially from the kids in the cast. There are also only about maybe 50 seats, and they're not reserved, so if you want to get good seats, you need to show up pretty early. That being said, it's extremely small, so it's not like any seat has a bad view. It's also located in a creepy old warehouse building, which really threw us off the fist time we visited. We were wondering if we were in the right place. It's kind of neat once you get over the creepy factor. You can even go explore around the place and discover all kinds of neat art that the other tenants have on display around the building during intermission, or while you wait for the show to start. Overall, this place is definitely worth the ticket price, and dependable for several solid evenings of entertainment each year. I'd recommend it.
I love this little community theater! Great shows, intimate seating, and wonderful opportunities for local actors, both young and old (and in between!).
Went to see "Fahrenheit 451" . Nice little theatre. I wish that the seating was raked a bit more: taller couple ahead of us made it a bit hard to see.
