If yiu want Korean style goat soup, this is the place. I have been many other places in K town, but Hanmijung tops all other places.
If you order dinner size, it is $4 more expensive, but worth it.

good

HanMiJung has been around for 15 years!!!
It is known for their goat pot and their BBQ pork.
The food is absolutely delicious.
This is that local mom & pop shop that tastes fabulously homemade.

i had the pleasure of consuming their goat pot stew and spicy pork bulgolgi last night with 2 dear friends and the bf. We were looking for something to fill our stomachs before attending an event at Union. We were SUPER glad that we discovered Han Mi Jung and their excellent service and yummy food.

Han Mi Jung's service was excellent and the bf could not stop raving about it. He said he has not had such great service in a Korean establishment in awhile -- the servers definitely do restaurant customer service right -- checking back every so often to see how we were doing and asking if we needed anything and also verbalizing, 'please let me know if you need anything'.

The food was simply delicious. The goat meat was tender and the stew was seasoned perfectly. It made all of our stomachs warm and happy. The goat pot is definitely for sharing & say 'yes please!' to the fried rice option that they make with the leftover goat pot stew! The spicy pork bulgolgi, 'where have you been all my life?!?' the meat was tender and perfectly marinated: savory, sweet, and spicy (but not too spicy). i have had spicy pork bulgolgi before and Han Mi Jung's version will have me going back for more.

Han Mi Jung does have soju, makkeolli, and sodas in addition to water and tea..

Parking: there is parking in the back of the restaurant and also a little bit down the street on 12th if the backlot is full.

Enjoy!

One of the best food experiences I've had in LA. The host is incredibly welcoming and friendly. The food is some of the best Korean I've ever had. The barely tea is to die for. All in all, my favorite restaurant in KTown.

Incredible goat stew! My mom was visiting from NYC and we both agreed it was the best goat stew we've have tasted in any korean restaurant, and she has been to hundreds. The place is family run, good people, but it's the food I come back for. Highly recommend the lunch specials!

Han Mi Jung has a limited menu of Korean comfort foods, most notably for its goat stew and goat marinara (goat meat marinated then cooked).

Both dishes use perilla leaves and seeds to help cut through the inherently gamey nature of the meat. I tried both dishes and found the meat to be lean, yet tender. Overall, the dishes including the banchan appetizers were moderately spiced and seemed to have little to no msg.

There s a write up on the menu about the supposed benefits of goat meat making it sound like a cure all. Can t vouch for the medical properties, but the goat meat was much lighter in fat compared to beef and pork

I d be open to going back for the goat dishes again along with trying the Pork bulgogi, which also seems to be popular.

Free parking in back lot and street parking.

If you're looking for a Korean goat stew, then this is the one. There are only few places in Koreatown who has goat stew in their menus and I tried them all, but among them, this place has the best taste! Goat stew is very popular in Korea but I don't think most of people in U.S. haven't tried it unless you're a Korean. What's goat stew? It's a bit spicy soup with goat meats, chives, green onions, perilla seeds, and I think they adds some spices. And it's really good for your health too. Anyway, if you're thinking about eating goat stew, then this one is it.

Would never recommend eating here. I came on a Wednesday (today) at 3:53pm wanting to order food and possibly try a different spot from my usual and they lied and claimed they are closed. The guy was lying down on the seats messing with his phone. First of all, very unprofessional, even if it is slow, rainy day. When he got up, I said "for 1 person, please", expecting to be seated.

Instead, he lies and claims they are closed. I asked several times to be sure because it's literally the middle of a business day. I'm like "sir, the sign outside says you're open. Are you sure you want to turn away a paying customer?" He continues to claim they are "closed".

They're racist and apparently don't serve PAYING black customers. Would never recommend. I have video proof also.

Peace Out.

Best Black Goat in Korean Town. Recommended for those who want to recover strength and refreshing.

There is no meaty and enviable meat and abundant quantity to eat. The kindness of the serving is kind.

Love this place. It's owner operated so it always feels really special going here. The goat stew is what this place is about. That plus, the kimchee which is good as hell. Spicy and flavorful. I asked him about goat tshirts. Hopefully he makes them; I'd proudly sport one.

Delicious and friendly! Atmosphere was pleasantly classier and calmer than I expected from a place that serves goat and soju. They were playing jazz! The bossam set is also delicious. Fried rice add-on to the goat jungol was milder than expected; comes with nice clear bean sprout soup. Had a wonderful time with my grandparents and would come back for late night food with friends.

It was really delicious. The side dish is good, and it is neat.
Parking space is okay.
Goat meat was smelly, meat was also chewy, and it was also good for mushrooms, so I went to eat sometimes to supplement my nutrition. Eat if you eat.

I had the goat stew takeout and everything was neatly packed. The website was easy to use and confirmed the delivery time accurately.

The stew was still hot and they had spicy paste on the side so you can adjust the spice level. The goat was tender and shredded. And lots of kimchi side dishes.

Food is great, authentic korean food. Goat is their specialty, which is an energizer food. If you like that kind of stuff, you will love it. If not, their other korean dishes are very good too.

I visited with a recommendation from an acquaintance, but it was so delicious. I recommend.

In Korean medicine, goat is classified as a positive food, and it is widely used after childbirth as it strengthens bones and muscles along with blood donation effect on hands and feet after babies and colds. It is said to warm up.

Its main ingredient is about 10 times more calcium than humans, cows, pigs, and chickens. 45mg (100g standard) of tocopherol (vitamin E) which other animals do not have It is said to be good for children in developmental age, improving weakness, strengthening heart, improving blood circulation, gastrointestinal protection, postpartum anemic cooking, and recovery from illness.

Friendly service is also good, but the food tastes good, so I'll find it again.

From 7:22 am you can enjoy breakfast bean sprouts soup, beef soup and goat soup from 9:42.

Garlic giblets and hotpot are also very popular.

The side dishes are also delicious and the service in the restaurant is good.
