My kids and I recently started going it s a great facility The staff and members are amazing it s Super clean and they take Covid precautions seriously
we live very close to another YMCA but we enjoy this way so much more and The unified champions program is awesome my daughter and I have met so many new people because of the unified champions program
The AYCC is Waterville s best kept secret. I ve personally been to most all of the YMCA s in Maine and by far it s the best one. I say that because it s obviously the newest and has all new fitness machines, and equipment in every area including the upstairs wellness gym, cycle studio and the Gronk Zone. There s also the pool, basketball court, track, karate studio, rock wall and more. You will be truly amazed at the place. In addition, the staff is friendly and will make you feel welcomed. Everything mentioned is included with your membership including groups fitness classes. Sure, it may be a little more than the local franchise clubs, but you get so much more. Plus it s reciprocal, which means you can get in at any club when traveling inside or outside of Maine. Believe me, it s worth paying the extra few dollars a month. Ignore the negative reviews. Stop by and see for yourself how awesomely amazing the AYCC is!
Service is horrible, I went to the fitness center one day and not able to go the next. I used to go here every weekend and play basketball and sometimes I had to be on a separate court and other times I didn t. The rules are very inconsistent, and the amount they charge to get in, changes every week. The basketball courts are filthy, and when you schedule a time for open gym it is only and hour. But they do have a very nice track and fitness center. Overall inconsistent.
We love the AYC. Everyone is helpful and kind. I love the fact it's a safe place to take my children.
Horrendous parking, The most wonderfully incompetent staff, Overcrowded, Renovation during business hours, Tiny waiting area, could go on for days how unsatisfactory this dump is!
