I visited the reserve twenty years ago as a kid and had been looking forward to going again someday. That day finally came recently and the reserve managed to top my impossible expectations. Seriously, i hate to go all zen here, but if you're looking for something that invokes serenity, this reserve is the place for you. Go, take your time, and soak in the healing ambiance.

It is a nice weekend outing from Seattle on clear days. You need to take a ferry from Seattle to reach the island. The ride itself is quite scenic and adds to the holiday experience. From the port you would need to take a cab or bus to reach the reserve although younger people may prefer to use a bicycle. The Reserve is a compact privately created Nature park with a beautiful marked out nature trail. Be sure to collect the map at the ticket counter and better carry a water bottle each. The trail is fairly scenic and halfway you can visit the founders home cum museum cum library which is full of books on nature preservation.

This mix of habitat on the 150 acre property will astound you. We spent about two hours walking through here and didn't realize it until we got back to the beginning. If possible pick a good weather weekend and just enjoy the walk and the plants/trees. I don't know what I expected coming here but this reserve exceeded whatever I could have imagined.

Beautiful gardens, with improved paths and viewing decks by pond. Timed entry visits, easy to socially distance and enjoy the many different areas, wetland, woodland, formal relection pool, Japanese Zen garden, moss garden, etc. Well worth the visit

Amazing! Peaceful and beautiful. One of the most relaxing days I have had in a long time. Appreciate the reservation system to keep numbers of guests manageable and safe. Probably good for the ecosystem too! Highly recommended!

We have had this on our list as a place to visit. We are glad to cross it off the list. We are spoiled with Lakewold Gardens, Point Defiance and Nisqually being closer to our home and more to our liking. We did not enjoy the steep inclines and watched just about everyone return looking worn out.

Bloedel Reserve is one of my favorite places in Kitsap. Well maintained trails with incredible gardens. The Japanese garden is always beautiful. It is a great place for photography or just a quiet walk. Every season of the year brings something different to see. You must visit this place.

Much more Serene, beautiful, pretty, amazing and lovely place than you can imagine. Short and awesome trail where you can enjoy nature and have peace of mind. "In another world" feeling. Nature greatly preserved.

Made a reservation and due to COVID, there were lots of safeguards in place: check in at the gate, gift shop closed, one-way trails, the main house closed, etc. Aside from that reminder of our current reality, it was a lovely transport into nature, filled with vibrant colors and fragrant flowers of which allergy commercials are made. Definitely recommend going - we actually became members so that we can bring visitors with us as part of our membership. Go with a group or go alone, both experiences should prove rewarding.

Beautiful landscaping, interesting areas that seemed to change theme as you walk the park. There's a mansion, a zen pool, Asian garden, pond, a sort of wetland boardwalk and much more.

This is a relaxing way to stroll your day away.

A lovely garden hike with a beautiful mansion from the 1930's. Could be haunted or a good murder mystery mansion. Perfect for movie outdoor settings. Lovely wedding space as well. Majestic AF.

I was expecting to see more from the garden, but regardless it was still beautiful! My favorite parts were the reflection pool and the ocean view from the mansion. Also I had someone in wheelchair, it was nice that the facility provided one for free, however it was really not at all ADA friendly as they could only be on the main road and not get to see anything else.

I was pressed to visit Bainbridge Island on Saturday. I didn't know what I would do. Searched my navigation and Bloedel Reserve, which I thought was a Salmon reserve, populated on a list of things to do. I selected the reserve and thought I will spend a little time there then come back and walk the shops on the main Street from the ferry terminal. I was swept away. If you need some peace and quiet and a place to meditate and be thankful for all that is, this is a must see. This will become a regular fore when I want to escape for a few hours. Beautiful place!

Very beautiful grounds. Amazingly maintained. It's supposed to be a place to disconnect and enjoy nature, but it's not the easiest since it's an attraction. But it's definitely worth visiting.
