Awesome recreation center in South Orange, offering an incredible array of programs for all ages.

The Baird Rec center is one of the main gravitational centers of athletic activity in South Orange. There are brand new and excellently maintained venues for basketball, tennis (courts and elevated enclosures), soccer, baseball, and is directly across from the town pool (the pool does require a seasonal membership, but at a reasonable price). Having gone here for most of my life, playing for the high school soccer team at the Meadowlands fields adjacent to it, or for so many different athletic events and pickup games, it has come a long way since my time as a student at South Orange Middle school. Any shabbiness it used to possess has been very effectively improved over the years, causing it to become a premier establishment, on it's way to perfection - it is an honor to have such a nice rec center in my hometown.
