We went there with our kids to see the morning Outback Stockman's Show and also to look through the centre. It was a great way to spend part of the day. We learnt a lot and the kids enjoyed themselves too!

Everyone seemed to love this place but it just didn't grab me. I considered the entrance fee was high but you got unlimited time so that was good. Some displays were really good but others seemed to be filling space.

A fantastic museum.the collection is overwhelming. Too much to take in in one visit. Fantastic to see Australian history being recorded so well. One of the best & fantastically presented collections we have seen.

It is great to learn about life of our pioneers and many unsung heros. The movie on arrival was excellent for setting the scene and we spent four hours viewing the galleries. Will have to return to see the Art Gallery as it was not open due to COVID.

A nice modern museum showcasing the country lifestyle and history. Plenty to see and read about inside. Very handy location just out of the main centre of town and almost straight over the road from the QANTAS museum. Worth a look. I was hoping it might be a bit more hands on with an opportunity to crack a whip or shear a sheep or something but that wasn't the case.

A great record of an important part of Australian outback history: life on cattle and sheep stations. Including the importance of Aboriginal people and the changing role of women. Also some insights into how the work is done today. Minor issues keep me from giving the place 5 stars (a correction notice near a sign instead of correcting the sign, poor lighting in one spot, a few exhibits a bit out of the way making them easy to miss).

Interesting place but bemused by the splattered corpses of these crawly things that seemed plague like. I have to give 4 starts for the respectful way I was asked if my dog was a assitance animal instead of dogs aren t allowed here spiel. I also think the lighting is spot on and suits people with sensory issues so I would say if it s a quiet time of day it s very asd friendly . Just need pest control to sort out those insects and 5 star for me I think the price is fair if you take a interest in all the displays and go outside

Enjoyed a pleasant morning here.
Coffee was good, reasonably priced.
A lot reading, but a must if you are in Longrearch.

Arrived after after 12 weeks traveling to see what was to be the highlight of our trip, only to find it is booking only, and no chance to get in for over a week. NOWHERE in our travels , with brochures, tourist info, even on Longreach Tourist web site, was this mentioned. Very little chance we will be out here again. How hard would it be to put it out there, even a sign at the caravan park!!!! Unfortunately, now I can t wait to get out of this place. Thanks Hall of Fame (management)

There was an excellent display on the rural pioneers and early history of Australia. A great place to visit for the whole family a week later and our 4 year old is still talking about it. I highly recommended taking the time to check it out.

A very good museum with lots of information to read. I felt most of the information was about white men only with a lack of information about women pioneers or indigenous stockmen. Unfortunately the Stockman show was not operating when we visited.

Very good historical account & artifacts, but lighting over some of the displays and labels quite poor...making it hard to read. Cinema show was the best - incredibly well made! Directions to exit (or back to the Cinema) could be more prominent.

Disappointing, didn't realise shows had been cut back so couldn't get tickets, not even to have a look around. Spoke to many other travellers who agreed that perhaps a sign out the fton advising "online bookings are essential" might be a good idea. (Approximately 10 travellers made same comment,)

Very disappointed with todays visit interactive displays missing an others not working empty displays all around the place. When i came here in early 90s it was loaded with displays an giftshop prints etc etc but nothing like it use to be! Couldnt even find decent gifts for the kids and inlaws!

I visited the Hall of Fame for the third time today having visited 27 years ago and again some years later. I was unfortunately very disappointed on this occasion. After lining up and having to wait for half an hour even after arriving on time we were ushered in and not given any information on what we were to see and no map to show how to get to the displays and it having been all changed since the last time I was here. Very disappointed to find displays changed from videos and audios to all reading and the lighting so poor impossible for someone as myself with poor eyesight to read. This was started by the vision of a number of men to honour the stockmen and women of the outback. Only small mention of these people in favour of early landholders instead. Edna Zigenbine one of the greatest women boss drivers in Australia got only the smallest mention. I had been looking forward to seeing the art gallery only to find it was not open even though it was advertised on the internet that all galleries would be open. It would seem that the whole theme of this place has been changed and the original purpose forgotten. I will not be coming back for a fourth visit.
