Friendly and helpful staff. The movie was the best part of our visit. There is room to park your caravan while you visit and Qantas just across the road. Wish we had known about parking so we didn't have to pay an extra nights accommodation.

Heaps to see. Great presentation of our bush heritage.

I would defiantly come back. We did a dinner and show, amazing entertainment and the best food.

Interesting and busy. We were unable to view the museum as bookings had been filled which was sad but understandable given the virus concern.

Great and we had a great time could have stayed longer

A must to see, not only the Stockmans museum but the live Stockman show. Loved the amount of interactive multimedia exhibits.

Great history of the everyone that has made the Aussie outback

Fantastic museum tribute to the pioneers and owners of our land. Loved the stories - particularly of the Aboriginal stockmen and their families. We also took in the show and dinner which was wonderful. My 88 year old father has not stopped talking about it.

An excellent overview of the stock man's contribution to Australia. However, the style of the exhibit is now dated and would benefit from a make over

I may be bias here, as I was one of the few people who met the queen on the tarmac when she landed to open this in 1988, but I love this display. Was great to revisit it again recently.

I was expecting more from the live show. Outback pioneer offering was more interesting, diverse, and generous.

Very interesting and buying a combined Dinner/Show and 2 day entry pass for $95 p. a. was good value.

A fascinating place. There is so much to see & read and learn. Our outback pastoral, droving and Stockmans history comes alive through pictures, stories and short videos. When you come be prepared to spend plenty of time here. You will need a minimum of two days to go through this museum properly. There are tours also available if you don't want to do a self guided tour. There is plenty of car & caravan parking. Don't miss the Australian Outback Experience show. One of the best shows I've attended.

Excellent presentation of some important Australian history. Cinema experience was high calibre.

Great place lots of other activities close by need at least 5 days here.

Beautiful museum, lots of history and reading. Outback show was very entertaining. Would just go for the show. Recommend taking some lunch, little expensive, if you can avoid the crowds on sundays do so.

Very interesting and quite a wide variety of interesting displays. Exhibits however very dark at quite a few spots, glass tops smeared, quite run down but we did it and ticked the box. $35 tho

Absolutely fantastic day and night show thoroughly recommended

Visited 27 Sept during school holidays. Art Gallery closed due to COVID but no reduction in entry fee. Good exhibits but must be saving on electricity costs as so many lights weren't working or perhaps were switched off? Many exhibits couldn't even be seen! Love the design of the building and the staff were great.

Thoroughly enjoyed this place. Had a long chat with the guy that was making the stock whips

Excellent.. A stockman tells the story of the evolution of stock an. He rides horses has dogs and sheep on trial

Really highlights how tough people had it way way back in the day. Tip: ask about the best route through so you follow the timeline. Also, allow a 2 hours.

You don't under stand how they did the long days to keep the cattle alive what a wonderful building to keep all of that history now on knows a bouts what a place

Very well presented, great show too and Stockman's pies from the cafe are not to be missed

The Australian Stockman s Hall of Fame is a spectacular tribute to the people of outback Australia. It tells the story of the rural areas from the arrival of the Aborigines more than 40,000 years ago, settled by the British, exploration, the establishment of grazing, agriculture, mining, forestry and other industries in country Australia. It follows the story through to the present day where technologies of many kinds are playing the role in farming, business and communications. Themes also include development of the outback properties, living in the outback and the stock worker. Australian Stockman s Hall of Fame was officially opened in 1988 by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Over one million people have visited this premier tribute to the men and women of the outback. Be sure not to miss the Wool Bale cafe where you can enjoy a snack or relaxing cuppa. The live Outback Stockman s Show tells the story of real life stockmen and women who work on the land. The show features trick horses, a bull, dogs, sheep and so much more. A must do on everyone s itinerary. The Australian Stockman s Hall of Fame is truly an iconic Queensland Outback experience.

Overall this was an interesting place to visit. There is a great need to organise the lighting (very dimly lit inside) and to provide a map of exhibits. I found I'd missed things and had to double back.
The exhibits were informative and interesting, and the movie which is shown prior to commencing the walkaround was well done. There are no guided tours.

A not too be missed experience. Staff have done an amazing job. The building is packed with wonderful displays and information. The movie was awesome. Highlight of our visit. Cafe is worth a visit too.

Interesting museum of traditional culture in the outback region.
The whole complex has central air conditioning wich is perfect for longreach weather.
Allow a couple of hours to see the exhibition,
There's a cafe/restaurant in place so you can also eat or have a slice of cake
Double tickets for the quantas museum and the hall of fame available at a better price.

You can enjoy a dinner ( barber buffet, veggies, salad, burguers and desert) show with animals three times a week during the winter season.

Great place. Did the 2 day pass for $99 each which includes the morning Show and Dinner and Show. Amazing value.

Its well laid out with plenty to read and see, but some exhibits and activities need maintenance, review or repair.

If you want to see another good display on stockman and Drovers see the "Drovers Camp" a couple of kilometers east of Camoolweal.
The Drovers Camp was more rustic and real. Senior Drovers will guide you for $5

Love the history of our country and a big Horse girl at heart. Well presented and if your ever in Longreach it is a must.

A must see when in Longreach, lots of reading though, if you cant read or dont like reading then you'll miss most of it.. Stockmans show was good to watch but it does cost extra

Tells the story of our pioneers, a place all Australians should visit, just to understand how hard life was

The $99 package for day show, museum, dinner and night show was good value. However, beware of the website as we were overcharged as student discount is $70 at the door but not an option with web booking. Ended up being over charged by $18 for our group of 6 people and lady at counter on entry said that it was too late if booking made online. This left a sour taste.

Truly a great place to visit for the whole family, loads of history to enlighten the kids minds! staff are very friendly, food and coffee were tasty and well priced. We also went to the outback show and this was well worth it, a great experience all round.
