Very good food, nice atmosphere. The wait staff all pitch in and do each others jobs which is nice to see. Our waiter was very personable and knowledgeable about their menu. Will definitely go back.

Omg this place is garbage! Over priced and the food is totally not worth it. They seem to lack a food theme, so they have one item from different food types. Example: 1 burger plate, 1 pasta plate, fish & chips, 1 Mexican food plate. Yet it's all bland or greasy. Also, my waiter failed to get me anything I asked for. Would have preferred fast-food to this.

If you want to pay for the name, be my guest.

It would have been 4 stars had it not been for how incredibly overpriced it is. I loved how the Phoenix location had such cool rooms with very different decors and environment. The room in the back with all the paintings and bright lighting definitely made me want to some day rent it out for a party. Anyways, on to the food. I had the beef stew ($17) and my friend got the Salmon ($22). We were surprised to see that his dish was literally a tiny piece of salmon with 1/8 of a bite-size potato and 2 spinach leaves. There was nothing else on the plate. The Salmon was cooked alright but the dish was incredibly expensive for really not much being served, literally. Each element was OK (not amazing ) and left the person still quite hungry and devouring the neighbors' pretzel basket. My beef stew was a little bit better, with spicy pieces of green chili, a fried egg and tasty corn bread. Granted there was only 3 small chunks of beef (hence the lower price) but at least the stew itself was a decent portion and enough to fill a small girl (me). The peanut butter foam dessert thingy was a bit too rich for me as after a few bites I didn't know what else to do with a literal soup of peanut butter cream with chocolate ice cream on top. My other friend's pretzels were tasty and the cocktail selection was ok, with some drinks being a bit too weird for my taste. All in all, this place was hit or miss on the food, and potentially not worth the pricing.

Completely changed their menu (not in a good way) and also removed their award winning salted caramel pudding desert.... This is like going to Disneyland and finding out there is no more Dole Whip. We got up and left before ordering and won't be back.

My brother and his wife selected this location for a Mother's Day lunch. The door from the street didn't have a button to hold it open while I wheeled my mom inside*. There was one waiter outside and two hostesses inside and none of them made a move to help with the door.

We finally got inside and met up with my brother and his wife. The waitress was attentive at first but I quickly drank my soda (the glasses aren't very big) and the waitress come to the table three times before I she went to get me a refill (it arrived on her fourth visit). The people drinking iced tea (2 of 4) got regular refills before they were even empty sometimes. But the rest of us didn't.

The food came out pretty quickly and it was good. Aside from inattentiveness with refills, the meal went fine. That is, until my mom had to go to the bathroom. I asked where it was and was told it was in the front by the entrance we came in from (the one without an automatic door). I wheeled her over and surprise surprise the bathroom door also doesn't have a button to open it automatically.

If not for the quality of the food and the speed with which it came out, I would be giving it a 2* rating. The only other redeeming characteristic was that a hostess offered to hold the door open on the way out.

It's not a bad place, but the fact that it's not accessible makes it hard for me to recommend to anyone. The menu also didn't have a lot of variety and it was pretty pricey.

*I later found out that there's another door leading to a different street which does have an automatic door. Too bad no one thought to post a sign, since they couldn't be bothered to put it on both doors.

Stopped by for happy hour and some appetizers after leading a training. All three of us enjoyed our drinks (two were having cocktails and one beer) and it was a nice mellow place to relax and talk strategy. The crispy shrimp was great, and the pretzel balls with cheese were fantastic. If I was in town more often I'd spend some of that time here.

We arrived with 15 more guests than our reservation was made for and the staff was more than happy to seat us all! There was no panic or resentment from any of the staff members. Each of the hostesses, servers, and food runners was extremely friendly. On top of it all, the food and drinks were phenomenal. I highly recommend ordering a Texas Fix!

Not bad, I have been here a few times for lunch and it's better to get there early so you avoid the lunch rush. Their food is pretty standard fare, although their oysters stand out as being delicious. Also they have a couple of tv's to watch any games you may want to while you are there (I sit at the bar the majority of the time which is what I would recommend to do). Again just make sure to beat the rush.

I was a little disappointed with the dinning experience. The food was good, but not to the level that draws me back in. I had the jumbalaya, which was mediocre. My roommate had the beef stew, which was very good and spicy. Had the waitress inquired about an appetizer or drink I would had ordered both, but I was left with water until she delivered the food and I asked for a soda. For the price you pay, typically people expect more from the waitstaff and overall experience of the restaurant, being downtown I can see how they get away with less. Overall, not a bad experience, just didn t meet my expectations.

Friendly service. Seated quickly, plenty of attention paid to all guests. My glass of water was never completely empty. Appetizers came quickly, we had the spinach and artichoke dip, and the smoked salmon. Both were really good. Artichoke dip arrived hot to the table. I ordered the crab stuffed chicken. Chicken was incredibly tender yet cooked all the way through. The crab was delicious as well and I would recommend it for sure!

The food was good, although the portion size for my dinner was lacking. I recommend coupling the pretzel appetizer with the peanut butter cup dessert. We had a party of seven and it took nearly two hours from start to finish (we had a reservation). While we weren't in a hurry, we certainly expected things to move along a little faster; it took a while just to get water and tea. This was one of the rare occasions that I've left less than 20% tip.

Great place for a pit stop before a game. We had the butcher's platter, French Dips, and a burger. All good and prepared well. We had them make us some sugar free margaritas as well. They did a good job there as well. All in all, great place.

I had dinner at The Arrogant Butcher while in Phoenix on business. I sat at a small counter that faced into the busy kitchen since I was traveling by myself. I highly recommend this! It was so fun and interesting to watch the kitchen staff work and keep up with the crazy pace of a Friday night. I had the scallops, which were well cooked, and came with bacon wrapped pieces of sweet potato. Very delicious and everything was well-seasoned. The service was also great. Highly recommend!

The service was TOP notch! Matt took very good care of us. Our party of 4 shared the appetizer platter and the pretzel bites. I could have made a meal of the bites alone! I had the stew....do your tummy a favor!
The drinks were cold and the place is beautiful!

ok sorry, but my 4 star review is now being revise...

ok sorry, but my 4 star review is now being revised to a 1 Star due to two awful food offenses experienced in the past two months. (You can see original review below)
but after Seeing how food there is handled I will never go back again.

Story- They brought me the wrong side with my meal, so the waitress left to check on it. assuming she would just bring the right side I started to handle my food getting ready to eat it. Picked it up- smashed it down to take a bite- then she walks up with a whole new plate so I put it down and she swiftly switched them out and walked towards the kitchen with my old plate.....then she rounded the corner and passed the kitchen taking that food my hands were just all over and served it to someone else!!! I almost walked over there but it was pretty busy and i felt so uncomfortable - so sorry to whoever had to eat the food I handled. Once you put food down at table and walk away from it you cant then serve it to another patron!

A few weeks later- ordered the steak salad; usually a great go to, the meat on the salad was cold and raw (Not typical and also unusually skimpy), I politely asked that they cook the meat more - a normal request with red meat.....Watched the server go to the cook line - pick the meat off the top of my salad with her fingers, threw it onto a plate and the cook then put it in the microwave! then she got the meat back and put it on the same salad that the bloody cold meat was on prior. I didn t eat the food. I paid and left it untouched and will sadly never go back again. If that is what they do in plain sight I don t even want to know what happens when I cant see. if you care about how your food is handled and not just the taste or the ambiance then just ignore this and read my old post below. Good luck!

Old review - feb 2019 You can t go wrong with the food here at the arrogant butcher! I often go here for lunch and get the steak salad- it is a healthy serving and delicious ! And sometimes I have to give in to the prime rib French dip sandwich. Great appetizers- try the soft pretzels and cheese or the spinach and artichoke dip! Very good!! I would recommend making a reservation if you are going around lunch or dinner time (withor more) for two people you at this time you can expect a 10-15 minute wait , but the bar is open seating while you are waiting. They als have a few private rooms if you want to reserve for a larger party. Can t go wrong here!
