Had such a great time here, had some good laughs and spooks throughout. Perfect for a change of pace whilst exploring the city!
A bit of Amsterdam's history with a thrill. Very interesting and worth adding as a tour point.
Interactive theater, you as a visitor participate. And really! Nice interaction with the visitor and full of exciting moments of shock in the golden age. Nice ambiance, good actors and of course you.
To enjoy!
Great outing to do with some friends and / or as a company outing!
Great experience. The "actors" play their roles well, the atmosphere is a little scary and takes us back to that medieval era. Interaction with the audience is fun.
Nice experience for young and old. Good acting and strong story here and there with historical truths.
Interesting and very good actors. Only prcca: English spoken very loudly and with slang. It was hard to understand.
A great tour in English. Easy to understand with many moments of shock.
Great experience. Interactive theatre telling the story of old Amsterdam.
I recommend this to anyone who wants to visit Amsterdam.
I had a great time approx. 1.5h
The actors play very well but too bad that everything is in English.
A device or screens for translation would be a good thing for people who do not master the language of Shakespeare well.
Very interesting place, which tell the story of Amsterdam. It worth the price!
[NO SPOILERS] Short but powerful. Good, funny actors and scary enough. If someone thinks it is a bit too much, you can just leave through a secret door.
Good tourist attraction suitable for anyone including families.
Interesting and not too scary, even my 11 years old child could handle it
Very nice attraction .. Was in previous reviews that it was not to scare ... Well we are twice very shocked .. Of which 1 x the actors there also had to laugh very much ... I think it is not suitable for children .. But a big compliment to the actors .. They did very well and fun ... Certainly something to have done once ...
A great disappointment despite the good will of the actors. The fear is not there!
Original, but we expected to be scared ... and that's not really the case
This is a place for some spooky education. It's not terrifying, it's normal, loads and loads and loads and loads of people in there tho, takes about an hour to complete so don't take any bags with you. I was chosen to participate in one of the activities, I was really embarrassed but I put on a good show as a witch burning at the stake for the sake of the children that were in there watching. Haha. Had a great time. Oh also at the end you get a free cup of cheap Dutch lager Or water, also I tried the dead dried crickets and they tasted horrendous. Like crunchy, salty, hard, flaky insect. Hahaha. Also lots of people there.
A journey through time Amsterdam must experience history!
It's a shame they took the roller coaster away and changed it to a glorified pub with weak beer and coke without a shot
Very good entertainment with very good real actors! Now with a beer, coke or water in the end for free. But less scary then the London dungeon. The London dungeon end it's top.
It was a really fun show! There are several actors who put on some kind of show in kind of hallways! The shows are given in English and Dutch. It is very nicely made and fun to go there sometime!
Tension and amusing. Personnel who continue to perform their role well
An experience richer! You just have to go here if you are in Amsterdam. Actors are professional and the history is told in an interactive way.
Minus: We had to go with the English speakers, otherwise we had to wait a (very) long time for a Dutch-speaking group or even with 2 people, which made the show less fun.
Very interesting experience! Can I recommend to anyone. Good English skills needed.
Fun and educational.
But also exciting and creepy.
A lot of interaction with the audience
My absolute favourite. I've been there twice. Very good actor.
Nice original attraction in Amsterdam, worth it if you have visited the city a lot.
If you're prepared to be treated in a disrespectful and patronising manner then this is the place for you where the entertainment is second rate and staff just rude. An elderly gentlemen was threatened by a dressed up guide because he jokingly and innocently touched the guides hand. The Dutch have respect issues.
Great performer, scary atmosphere, very nice and helpful staff. Was already in Hamburg and would have liked a bit more variety, but still a great experience
Excellent! No matter where, The Dungeon is always worth a visit. There is always something new, new stories, different actors, different locations. I like to look at it. Understanding English is of course a requirement. Pure excitement!
The content was good. The actors were good. May things to see there too.
However, the queue is awful. Waiting time was much longer than expected.
Nl / Eng
You notice that time has been put into the decoration. No cheap shock effects but a solid setting with different story lines. With every scene you will be included in the story. Fearless people can visit the dungeon with confidence.
The first thing you notice is they have spent time on the decorations. No cheap-scare effects but a decent setting with different easy to follow storylines. In each scene you are tasks into the story. Scary chickens can visit the dungeon with a peacefull mind.
It was not exciting as I expected, also the ticket price was not reasonable. They should to create something new or reduce tickets prices.
We got it in combination with other packages, it cost us a little more, nothing special, they are trying to shade you in rooms from the time of torture ... in short, indifferent
A very interesting attraction. Horror stories about Amsterdam. If you don't know English it is a downer because there are no translators.
for this price you expect more. more funny than scary.
Really good show, funny with an attitude and almost a little scary.
Let down by the amazingly rude photographers at the entrance who insisted I HAD to take a photo. I'm a paying customer, I'll take a photo for you to sell me IF I WANT.
Very nice put together. The actors are good at their roles and it is sometimes very exciting. There is an English and Dutch tour. A tour lasted about an hour for my feeling. During the exciting stories told by the actors, the audience is taken along interactively. If you don't want this, you should be a little bit behind at the side of the group. You enter different rooms with a corresponding story. You walk up and down various stairs, so it may not be suitable for disabled people. It is absolutely recommended and well worth the money. Well, take a look at ticket auctions or groupon, this often saves half the price.
One of the best places to visit in Amsterdam. Hilarious, fun, very enjoyable.
one of the best place to visit. plan for 2 hours for this visit.
It's funny ... but it doesn't correspond to the initial feeling of looking like a horror house.
The actors give it their all. The different stories are okay.
It's not going to set the world on fire, but it's a good laugh if you fancy some hammy fun.
Great place for shopping affordable price for the whole family very convenient
Godsakkeju what an experience! This was one of the scariest and coolest rides I've ever been on! If you like excitement with a touch of humor, this is definitely recommended!
Hats off to the actors and actresses who performed their passion with full conviction!
I liked the theater ... But you need to know English!
Very fun! It's sometimes a bit scary, but it's well proportioned. And it also depends on the group if they participate.
One of the boring experience I had. Not worth the money. Nothing to do with dungeon or horror.
Very good actors and a very good background noise. A bit expensive but worth it.
Scary and challenging.
Improves English greatly
