Excellent acting. Good finish. Atmosphere at the top. Understand English well to enjoy it. Otherwise attraction to do absolutely when visiting Amsterdam.

No photos are a bit tiring trying to take you to another era. The actors are nice but you have to have the mood to enjoy it ...

The Amsterdam Dungeon was a lot of fun, staff were very cool. It's a combination of a show and learning a little history.

Fantastic! Been with a child (went fine, not too scary) and thoroughly enjoyed !! Wonderful startle effects. Great actors, what a great job you have!

Must be seen, I think not. I say don't waste time here instead of visiting the city. Inside, 5 or 10 artists in the improvisation of the work, the work directed to scare in the direction of the screenplay. If your English isn't good, you won't be able to understand anything. You just have to keep up.

The Amsterdam Dungeons are awesome. The actors all give it their absolute best and it has an amazing thrilling atmosphere. All the actors and staff also speak perfect English (the language spoke by the actors during the visit will depend on the language spoken by the majority of the room).

Head north along Dam Square, with an array of shops on either side. After about 5 minutes, pass by a seemingly interesting place - Amsterdam Dungeor. 9 live shows bring 80 minutes of entertainment! Drama actors, special effects, 360-degree stage, order...

Extremely interesting and exciting place, which leads through the medieval history of Amsterdam where everyone becomes a part of it. All visitors are involved in some kind of theatrical act, a bit scarry, thrilling and breathtaking. With the price of only 20 euro per person you get an unforgettable event through the ages.

It was more like a low budget horror movie, depending on sudden out of context screams and door slams to hopelessly create a scary atmosphere. Would recommend it only If it is the first time to see something similar, and done with all Amsterdam major attractions.

Very nice. Even if you don't find haunted houses scary. Especially nice because it is about Amsterdam from around 1500-1700. Actors are having fun and are completely in their roles!

Very well done, even for me, when I am something very thin-skinned. English is easy to understand, the actors put a lot of effort into including only those who feel like it (apart from small shockers when changing rooms)
Is his money absolutely worth it was not our last dungeon

Super fun experience, even after a bit of a wait to get going.

This is the 4th Dungeon I've visited and definitely joint 1st for anticipation and excitement. A well told story of Dutch Golden Age history peppered with some decent jokes and plenty of jump scares. The acting was high quality, and the setting and scenery were suitably eerie. I happily recommend this place.

To be honest, I didn't expect too much of it - things like this aren't usually 'my thing' - but I had a lot of fun! Well acted, nice scenery, great costumes. I do feel the people manning the photo booth could be a bit less pushy, but they weren't so bad that it merits deducting a star. Also, I was with a big group of colleagues, which is probably more fun than being with a group of strangers. Still, I had a blast!

Well done, but anyone who has been to the London Dungeon will not experience anything new.

When they went to the museum they didn t know what to expect from him, but everything was so high that he exceeded all possible expectations. It was the first time in a similar museum and there was a sea of emotions. A very interesting historical plot, a great play of actors and a little fear))) If you are in Amsterdam, be sure to visit this museum, you will not regret it!

Very good show. The actors played very convincingly. Creepy, I found it rather less, but that's probably because many things were obvious. Unfortunately, the actors spoke very fast English, so unfortunately I could not understand many conversations. Otherwise, a top event.

Excellent experience .... humor and fear together, 1:30 of good distraction

We booked our tickets online. We had that experience before in Hamburg, but in Amsterdam we didn't have to wait to get in, that was good. The Show, the history and the actors were so great. We were shocked but amused at the same time. Every time again :)

Nice to do once. Like waiting at any tourist attraction, but that makes sense! I would not recommend going there if you have been to London for example because the story is almost the same

A very nice and exciting experience. The actors let you relive the horrific history of Amsterdam.

A lot of fun! Staff are very friendly and seem to love scaring the living ghost out of the guests! Some parts are quite daunting to get through but well worth it.

Superb role play by actors. Infact some of the acts were really interesting. Tickets can be purchased online at a discount. They also give beer at the end of show.

The Amsterdam Dungeon was a very unique experience, where you learn about the dark history of Amsterdam.
I have been to The London Dungeon sometimes, and there were major similarities between the two. Some parts were almost identical, which makes it a little less interesting.
Some parts of the Dungeon were a bit difficult, you enter large groups, but sometimes you have to wait until everyone in the group is in the room. Smaller groups would make it a bit more fun, then you can see it better, without anyone standing in front of you.

Amsterdam 22/23/24th August,2019...heatwave dates added to the glorious city break for my sons 18th Birthday.

Dungeon was terrifying. Kept in a chilling cage whilst more victims were bundled in. Then there are 5 scenarios which are absolutely brilliant pirotechnics/scenery and acting. So realistic. Fun, interactive and realistic. I really thought I was going to have nightmares afterwards. It is an absolute must go to place.

Not the only Amsterdam Dungeon;). I also expected something different with the name: /. I only saw 7 6-year-old girls and they were all still wearing their clothes.

A top experience! Sometimes a bit too black in terms of humor and also scary in some areas. So not for small children or anxious children up to 12 years. For all other people, who don't get scared easily, highly recommended. I sometimes had to laugh really hard! Top actors indeed!

The actors did a great job and entertained us very well. It was definitely worth it!

An absolute must for all those interested in culture who don't like it classic. Great performers and fantastic scenery!

Not as fun as the London dungeon but if you are going for the first time definitely recommended

I was there about 2 weeks ago. It was really exciting and the actors did a really good job. I was actually picked and was the "witch". In one scene, I was burned at the stake. I should read the laws. There was a manual in German and that I do not have to be afraid. Even several times. In the end I got a certificate of witchcraft.

Worst experience ever, i didn't knew i had to be part in their play thank you so much for making me feel so awkward even tho I had said no. It ruined my day

Today I went to The Amsterdam Dungeon. How was it? Special. The actors were good in their role, but it was a bit too much in terms of special effects. And that's a shame. Special effects in action does not show Amsterdam in 4 centuries. Less is more.

Amazing experience. The creep started immediately upon arrival at the Dungeon. It was really great fun / scary and creepy ... definitely recommended !!!

Great experience, good actors and beautiful decoration!

Mediocre theatrics performed by not-too-scarily-dressed staff form the foundation of the experience. The ambience is the major draw. Effects and scare tactics are average at best. Too much narration and the experience doesn't justify the time spent (80mins). Go only if you have nothing better to do or if you absolutely love horror themed experiences.

Definitely worth a visit! Although there were not as many frightening moments as expected, but still an interesting and sometimes funny experience. I would recommend booking it with other attractions to get a better rate.

Didn t know what it was. Decided to go and saw a great interactive performance about Amsterdam s past. No complaints. Great time and worth the euros.

Really cool entertainment, worth every penny.

We bought the early / late ticket online (12.50 per person) while we were in Amsterdam. The booking code came immediately after completion of the booking by e-mail and could be presented via smartphone at the cash register. We were there on a Friday afternoon and there was no queue (whether or not you have an online ticket does not affect the waiting time).

The show itself was outstanding. You are sent from room to room in which you expect a mix of entertaining stories, interaction with the audience and shocks. The actors were absolutely in the thing and have played their role really very authentic. Is is also suitable for dreadful people, only those who panic scared of scary elements or panic when scared, should rather not participate in the show. Also, I would not take any infants, if you want to sleep through as a father / mother for the next few nights.

In my view an absolute highlight in Amsterdam, there is hardly a reason not to do it. Otherwise you do not get such a great entertainment for this price.

Quite an interesting option of "live horror" funny and definitely worth dropping in.

Love the professionalism by which the actors played their roles and interacted with their guests. My group and i bought tickets online which are definitely cheaper.But it does not allow you to skip the line like it says on the website. All in all a really good experience otherwise.

Really enjoyed the experience. Very interactive and entertaining.
