We've been here after a disappointing visit at Madame Tussauds and we were very impressed. The tour is very entertaining and the actors do an outstanding job. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, you won't be able to take photos inside (and for good reason - flashes and glaring screens will ruin the experience) and all loose items should be kept close). You'll get a selection of photos both digitally and printed (if you so desire) at the end of the tour, but at quite a high premium. I'm not going to spoil the experience by saying what you'll find inside, but the actors do a great job and it's a very interactive experience for some.

More or less ... it didn't seem "scary" to me as advertised. It is a place where he shows various scenarios where the protagonist tells a terrifying story and proposes the participation of one of the site's visitors. It is entertaining, if you do not know English very well it is difficult to keep up with them ... you can buy the ticket separately (not recommended) or together with another attraction.

If you have kids that like a scare, it's pretty cool!

Played really cool. Respect. the whole concept depends on the actors. And I found them surprisingly good for their roles. Respect! Found it really cool!

The actors played fantastic. You were really involved in the story. Was just a bit short.

Great experience, with welcoming staff. Great actors/actresses with some good jump scares too.
They all performed so well despite some disruptive people in our group who were always using their phones (even when told this wasn't permitted)
Would recommend this experience to others.

Good fun, especially if you pop into a 'coffee shop' before hand. Not suitable for kids!

Forgetable experience. I would recommend to skip this is for more nicer places in Amsterdam like Artis zoo, dam palace, etc.

Interesting and fun! There were laughter and screams. The staff did a great job in acting. The decor and props were marvelously done. The sound and lighting effects were great, gave it a realistic feel. Definitely recommend!

The reason the dungeons stood out from other scary house sort of places is because it was enacted out well!

So much fun ... exciting. ..eng .. almost pissed in my pants with laughter together with my sisters .... big compliment for the actors

I wouldn t say it serves it s purpose if that was to be a scary place. It is however a good, entertaining place and also it manages to be educational in a funny way. Great actors and well made costumes and decor. Nice experience, it s worth going once.

Pleasant experience, discovering different macabre stories of the city of Amsterdam, with convincing and realistic actors. Scared level, we are below ghost house where we walk but I still advise children.

Loved the experience. Got in as part of a joint deal and a good idea to look for coupons. The experience revolves about going into different creepily interactive rooms together with different actors which portray different horror stories. I would not say its super scary but definitely a must visit in Amsterdam.

Interesting tour of about 1 hour that took you through a story of horror in the 16-17-18th century. Torture chambers, voc ships, funeral pyres etc ...

The actors are very good at their roles and very funny when they mess with the audience. At least 1 person is chosen for each part to 'participate' in the story.

Have to say that it is not really scary in my opinion, and I am someone who can be startled quite easily. There were only 2 moments where I was really shocked and that was when the lights went out and suddenly someone appeared.

All in all, a very interesting tour, unique experience and a fun outing. Don't go if you plan to get very scared.

An entertaining performance is not a scare house. It is a story (in English) and people participate. It is quite entertaining although it is not what you imagine at first.

The tour lasts 40-45 minutes. It was funny, but you noticed that fewer people were allowed in due to Corona and that the tours were therefore ended quickly.
Otherwise it was okay, the price-performance ratio just wasn't right in my opinion.

Not at all scary or entertaining. At the end, a lady asked 'so you survived'. I just wanted to say 'I almost died of boredom'.

Always fun and exciting. Normal entrance price is cheap.

Here stands and falls the experience with the staff, which is great.
Visiting the Amsterdam Dungeons is just fun.
Price-performance ratio is ok for me.
Combined tickets with other attractions are lucrative.

A strange and unparalleled experience, a professional simulation of torture methods in former Amsterdam, the simulation is very beautiful and realistic, not suitable for families, children and those with heart diseases

You can buy a combined discounted ticket for a few more attractions like madame tussauds.

Kill the monotony with this fun adventure full of surprises and entertainment. With around 20, buy the ticket or find the tour packages in the various info-points

An interesting attraction, a house of fear in which you can become the hero of one of the stories, but after passing the first scenes, the others become quite predictable. Required knowledge of English or Dutch at a slightly higher than basic level.

Amazing and a bit scary. Would love to go back. A must see if you're an Amsterdam! The cast really interacts with the patrons and makes you feel like it's real!

Super. For people who want to experience the history of Amsterdam in the form of horror and a lot of fun, the hit.
The cost is 18 per visitor. In my opinion the money is absolutely worth it. However, the horror was a bit short, so a star deduction.

Stroll around in spooky medieval Amsterdam. The kids thought it was fantastic. The manager helped us tremendously with a missed online card transaction. Super.

Splendor place in a unique location full of history & secrecy - where you can not put a finger behind, because you will eventually lose it when you are inside. You can see that a lot of attention is paid to setting and playing technique, which makes it worth a visit.
