Generally the service is good and the staff are helpful. If theres any problems they will take care of it, be mindful of the local porters as they are constantly looking for payment tips for anything,.

This hotel has been around seemingly forever. Pretty standard Thailand tourist hotel. Nothing special..but reasonable and comfortable accommodations. Breakfast buffet is good. Location is very good..if you want to stay in the midst of the Sukhumvit bar/restaurant area. The Thai nightlife spots of Soi Cowboy and Nana are walking distance. Service is friendly and reasonably efficient. The Nana BTS station is a very short walk to Sukhumvit Road. Again...if your into the activities around Sukhumvit this is a reasonable price/good value option. If you dont mind spending a bit more...and want a more laid back atmosphere...you might consider staying at one of the large hotels along the Chao Phyra river. The Hilton is much more affordable than Hilton's in other countries...has amazing river views and a rooftop pool. There are so many good options in Bangkok that it really just comes down to what you are looking for.

Worst hotel. Rooms are very small. Air conditioners don't work properly. Very poor cooling in rooms

If it is in the central area near Nana Plaza in the city, it can be, and the location is not bad.
The hotel is too old and check the air conditioner intake. You almost passed out. How many years have you cleaned it?
It's really messy, and it's a place where many people from the Middle East and India visit, so it's a cheap place.

Most of Bangladeshi and Indians. bangladeshi foods are very close to the hotel premises. breakfast is very good for indian. but it is really crowded breakfast as enjoyed in my life. in tower building, room is good. but in main building, it is not spacious. i recommend for tower wing to stay.

Good location, large rooms and clean.
The bathroom was comfortable too.

In addition, large pool and fitness gym were convenient, too.

Ambassador hotel is resort for bed bugs.
I recognize that bed bugs are everywhere in the world and can be in any hotel. And I have been bit before but at least when I had told those 2 hotels they both took it seriously they had a manager calmly talk to me and explained what their procedure was and sent me information to prove this is how to deal with them. 1 hotel washed my clothes and steamed my bag. This manager made me go to the room and show him where the bed bugs were. If I had a bed bug sensor darlin then I'd know not to stay at your hotel.

This hotel also doesn't have AC as it has never been cleaned and works like a fan now. The shower head and drain could use some CLR and the mattresses could use some replacing besides the bed bugs living in there perhaps they are the only thing keeping the springes from popping out.

actually I never stayed at that hotel. but I passed by many times when walking at soi 11. The hotel is bigger compare to other hotel at that road. I also heard good reputation about that hotel and it's amenities. I also heard that Indian likes this hotel. There's an expansion building which increase it's capacity.
Most of all the location of this hotel is excellent. Really good choice who can afford.

do not come here do not spend money on this nightmare. I could never even think that a 4 star hotel could be so disgusting. It took me so long to get to them and what I found was impossible to convey. The rooms are very, just very cheap and tidy balconies no furniture is old, all the accessories for guests are not there, when I checked in I waited for 1.5 hours I asked why and why I was waiting I was answered just wait and only after I started raising my voice they told me that a lot people, I just can t understand if they can t cope why invite people to themselves. It seems to me that each person has his own rights which should not be violated by anyone. if this hotel does not know or cannot cope with its duties, it is better to close the doors and not invite guests. I paid the amount that they installed, which means I have the right to receive the service and respect that I need, not one that is convenient and comfortable for the hotel owner.

Decent hotel and rooms. Breakfast was good, hotel situated in very good location. Only negative thing was room size.

Its a old experienced hotel ...they know their customers.. Well maintained and located at the heart of sukhumbit..must for cozy travellers.

I stayed two nights at the Ambassador hotel and I couldn't have been more satisfied with my stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful with all of my questions. The hotel was very uoscale and clean. There are two cafes on sight and you're walking distance from several ATM's, a 7-Eleven and a numerous resturants. You'll also be a short walk (ABout 10 minutes) away from Terminal 21 (Very large mall...high recommended). The Ambassador should be on anyone's list if they're looking to stay in downtown Bangkok.

At the moment, during the Cowik period, there are few people, convenient transportation.

The low prices are real. So thelow quality of rooms and food.

A very bad idea choosing this place. A place with no hospitality. Room having cobwebs. I stayed for three days. Dirty coffemugs were not changed for fresh ones. Floor stuff was rude when I asked for shampoo. Breakfast was a sad plight. Getting food was a hurdle as all things were empty and the way stuff was getting food and dumping. One would loose the appeal to eat. I asked for a lemon for medical purpose in room service which was chargeable. Unhappy.
