The Alpina Mountain Resort & Spa Review

Nice house with great views. The service staff is trained professional and very friendly, with the German language skills are not always the best. The card is rather high standing, if you are looking for "normal" kitchen, it is rather difficult. The plates of the others, which we have seen, were generously filled, our whitefish with broccoli was unfortunately very small portioned and unfortunately only lukewarm. The pricing heated up rather because we paid for 2x (this small) main course, 1l mineral water and coffee / tea just under Fr. 100.-. Exactly why complains about the CH gastronomy about lack of sales ... and gets from me only 3 stars. Too bad.

The Alpina is located in one of the most beautiful mountain villages in Switzerland. It Offers a breathtaking view and has direct access to the skiing slopes. After spending our day in the moutains we discovered the amazing spa which offers a wide range of saunas, infrared room, steam bath and outdoor whirlpool. The 2 restaurants offer a delicious choice of both local and asian food. We enjoyed our dinner having the alpine fine dining experience which was an amazing taste journey combining traditional local flavors and haute cuisine. Also the service was excellent, offering a private waiter which guided us through our dinner. Afterwards we discovered our hotel room, which was spacious, clean and cozy with lots of woods and glass, modern and comfortable sanitary structures and an amazing mountain view. The morning after we woke up to a rich, delicious breakfast with everthing our taste buds required, next the slopes. All in all we had an amazing weekend and will definitely come back. Thank you Marlies and Michael (the hotel managers) to welcome us so kindly and make us fee at home!

A pretty decent hotel, about 3 years ago, was bought by the Chinese and a complete overhaul was made, so everything is fresh, plus skis and skates right next to it, if you arrive in your car in winter, you hardly get to the hotel, but before entering the village big parking lot from where you will be taken to the hotel

Rural upscale ambience with excellent specialty cuisine. For the stylish break in the mountains. Unfortunately not very conciliatory in unforeseen situations.

The Alpina Hotel will always have a special place in our hearts, as last year, after a very thorough research and visiting quite a lot of different locations, we have decided to celebrate our wedding here. And this turned out to be the best decision, as both we, and our wedding guests, have absolutely loved it. Each time that we go back, we still love the amazing Alpine pine wood smell everywhere, the very welcoming and nice staff, delicious food, cozy wellness area, rustic-chic Alpine style, overall family-like atmosphere and beautiful views. This not even counting the fact that the village itself is like taken out of a Swiss fairytales book.
The Alpina hotel is truly a hidden gem that we were so lucky to be able to discover and enjoy for our big day and where we always go back with huge pleasure.

Even before booking the staff was incredibly helpful. I planned my wife's birthday and wanted to book a few extras. That was not a problem and in the end everything worked out great. The highlight next to the beautiful SPA area was a live sung "Happy Birthday" by the hosts personally. Such friendly hospitality you want in every hotel. Merci for this great experience with you at The Alpina! We will never forget it.

Purtroppo a questi punti forti, fanno da contrasto un servizio del ristorante lento, si gentile ma poco professionale.


Al check out mi hanno addebitato la cena senza ridurmi la tariffa riservata di 35.- pp, per la mezza pensione a cena.
Inoltre ho dovuto far rettificare due volte il mio conto in quanto errato al momento di pagare.
Attenzione a controllare bene le voci da pagare al check-out.
Nel complesso un bel albergo romantico, ma con qualche pecca nei servizi al cliente.

Wonderfully relax in the first-class renovated house and in the ultra-modern, well-kept spa!

May spend an unforgettable anniversary. Beautiful place, decorated with love and charm. In the spa area, some conviction was necessary with being undressed. But it was worth it. The conclusion was a wonderful massage.

The hotel, a mix of antique and modern, fits picturesquely into the fascinating surroundings. The staff is friendly, accommodating and humorous. It is absolutely a feel-good oasis.

Our Airline lost our luggage and gave us the run around for a full day. Sascha helped us immensely and got things straightened out. After he helped we could tell it would have taken days without their help. The hotel itself is unbelievably breathtaking. Views. Interior. Relaxation. We will be returning once a year for sure. Nothing else comes close to comparison.

Friendly and very competent staff in a beautiful hotel. Here you can hike up and down, the wellness department is really great, several saunas, jacuzzi, quiet zones inside and outside with drinks and fruit. Our room was modern and very comfortable. The view is wonderful. From the kitchen you get delicious food !! It is well worth it !!

Pure romance in every way! Very good price-performance ratio. Would stay in this wonderful place in this very cozy hotel for a much longer time ....

On the other side of the Mountain from Arosa, it is a Wonderfull place to stay, eat or enjoy the beutifull walks around to have the inner peace.

Hotel nicely located in the typical village of Tschiertschen, equipped with a nice spa area, friendly staff, especially young people in training at the hotel school rue de Passugg a little further down the valley. Nice terrace, nice bar.

Very nice renovated hotel and restaurant. Every detail is right. Service courteous. The food is excellent. We recommend.

Stayed for business 3 days (overnight at the lodge: basic rooms, but has everything you need, clean, friendly service, we ate at the hotel). The food was good, but not terrific. The staff was very friendly, sympathetic and very very flexible! (The young staff (from the nearby Hotelfachschule?) Took some patience.) The room was nice and gently renovated. The environment is very idyllic.

Very charming hotel, with magnificent mountains view (ask for rooms with views!). Historic, but freshly renovated one. Great food, beautiful (naked) spa. Away from the crowd.
Room (101) was rather small, but super comfy and had the view.
Only suggestion is to adjust the automatic light in the shower - I had to stand up in the night to close the windows amid storm, and motion detector was triggering my moves in the room - as a result, bright light filling out the room in the middle of the night, and no switch to turn it off before the it went down automatically (couple of mins or so - felt like eternity).

Great hotel with modern fixtures and a luxurious spa (which has both free and paid services). The staff are extremely friendly, and they went above and beyond with creating some awesome swan towel art on our bed upon arrival. It had lily pads and everything. It was a little bit of a drive from Chur, but it was worth it to get some peace and quiet. Most relaxing night of our trip for sure.

Five stars are not enough to qualify our stay at this hotel.
The setting where it is located, the attention of the staff, the details in the hotel and an excellent kitchen made our stay the best on our trip to Switzerland. Without a doubt a wise choice.

Old house but it was recently brought up to date by renovation. It is a small place, right on the slope with narrow steep streets. But it's really nice. All around a magnificent panorama surrounded by mountains. The place is quiet and just right to relax and unwind. The hosts as well as the staff are all friendly and accommodating. The kitchen pampers the stomach, the view pampers the eye, as does the wellness area, body and mind. The hotel can be reached in 20 minutes from the Chur motorway exit. A place that is worth a trip.

At the end of a steep road a nicely renovated Hotel is awaiting you in a small mountain-village somewhere in the swiss alps. This is a great place to relax and enjoy. Great Spa area, four different Saunas and a Whirpool with view. The rooms are very clean and quiet. I really liked the bed.

The breakfast was great, because they had regional cheese, meat and tasty jam. The dinner is pricey and delicious. The bar is worth a visit at least because of the old but cosy fireplace.

Obviously the place is known for the good wine selection. We will try that next time.

I especially liked the room to lock our bicycles and the bike wash.

We enjoyed our stay and looking forward to visit this cosy place again soon.

Very nice people, very good kitchen. The rooms have been modernized and finished with pinewood. Wonderful for sleeping. And wellness is not too short. Bio sauna, Finnish sauna and generous infrared sauna and whirlpool tub. Ideal in winter right next to the slope.
