About Global Overseas Adoptees' Link (G.O.A.'L)
Global Overseas Adoptees' Link (G.O.A.'L) is a non-profit and NGO organization that is led by adoptees in Korea. It is the only organization of its kind that focuses on providing support to overseas adoptees who are living in Korea. The organization was founded in 1998, and since then, it has been working tirelessly to provide services such as birth family search, living in Korea, F-4 visa assistance, and Korean language scholarship.
The primary goal of G.O.A.'L is to help overseas adoptees connect with their birth families. The organization understands how important it is for adoptees to know their roots and where they come from. Therefore, they offer a range of services that can help them find their biological parents or other family members.
One of the most popular services offered by G.O.A.'L is the birth family search program. This program provides assistance to adoptees who want to find their biological parents or siblings. The process involves collecting information about the adoption from various sources such as adoption agencies, hospitals, and government offices. Once all the information has been gathered, G.O.A.'L will use its extensive network of contacts to locate the birth family members.
Apart from helping with birth family searches, G.O.A.'L also provides support for overseas adoptees who are living in Korea. Living in a foreign country can be challenging for anyone; however, it can be especially difficult for those who were adopted from another country at a young age. Therefore, G.O.A.'L offers various programs that aim at making life easier for these individuals.
For instance, one program offered by G.O.A.’L helps overseas adoptees obtain an F-4 visa which allows them to stay longer than 90 days without having any restrictions on employment or study opportunities within South Korea's borders.
Another service provided by this non-profit organization includes Korean language scholarships which enable international students interested in learning Korean language skills access free classes taught by experienced teachers at no cost whatsoever!
In conclusion,
G.O.A.’L plays an essential role not only as an advocate but also as a bridge between international communities and South Koreans through its various programs aimed at supporting overseas adopted children residing within South Korea's borders while promoting cultural exchange between different countries worldwide!
