Gem hidden in the heart of Chelsea. Great service, just the right balance of authenticity and modern, yet cozy and warm. Food is amazing. Specially the fish and the chunky chips. Definitely recommended.

Can't say enough about this place. We ate there approx. 4 times during a 12 days trip in November. One of which was for Sunday Roast which was perfection. Get there early on a Sunday (like before 1:30 pm) if you plan to have the traditional Sunday meal. They do Open Table reservations which make it simple even if you're 10 minutes away. We hit them up on a Tuesday for burger night where my husband had a Chorizo and Prawn burger while I had a traditional beef burger with bacon and cheddar. Both were quite good. We also enjoyed their Fish and Chips several times. The pub house beer (a Cask I believe) was excellent, give it a try. Good prices, reminder that you don't get shoved out the door like American restaurants, you can take your time and enjoy the ambience.

The AdCod is a perfect neighborhood pub. On the quiet side, as it's tucked off the main drag, it's perfect for a post-work drink, a family dinner or a Sunday roast. The food is OK (3/5) but moderately priced. The drinks are excellent (4/5) and well priced. What keeps the AdCod at a solid four stars is the very friendly/accommodating staff, the small outdoor patio and the great maritime decor. Can't wait to get back!

Unfortunately I was told that the pub stopped serving alcohol at 9:30 on a SATURDAY by the barmaid there. However, she continued to serve every other patron that walked in. When I asked a different man who worked there whether they were still serving he said yes and poured two pints for me. However, the first barmaid came by and immediately poured them out saying they were no longer serving. When I asked why she was serving everyone else she claimed it was because they had bookings. I asked a couple of these people whether they had bookings and they said they didn t. I was massively frustrated by what seemed like a blatant lie on the part of the barmaid and I am incredibly curious as to why she refused to serve me despite being of age and providing ID. Very disappointed.

Place has changed a lot in recent years and is much more bar focused than dining. When I was most recently there they had a DJ playing, the bar snacks we ordered were decent but I wouldn't go there for dinner as the wrong atmosphere.

The food was 5 star but the service was very slow. Really great flavours and the food was divine. The food selection is amazing and compliments the individual dishes.
The service was definitely having an off night and it took nearly 3 hours to have three courses. Eat out to help out may have pushed the limit of the service on the night I attended. Usually it's much better service .

Booked in advance for a weekend table and didn't really need to as it was fairly quiet inside but the atmosphere was very nice and clean, comfortable and friendly. The food is very good, generous portions and a decent lunch menu, toilets clean and good beers on tap. The fish and chips are pretty huge and very well done, get a side if you can manage it, the fried pickles are great. Outside area is lovely in summer.

Fine pub tucked down a slightly secluded background, meaning it doesn't get too crowded.

Appealing menu of quality food. Good selection of beers and ales, decent house red. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. On the pricier end, but expected in that area.

Good Sunday Roast however both came out cold,

Quite slow serving of the food,

And upon paying, we requested Opptional Service charge be removed and an issue was made of this, creating a delay in ordering and a poor atmosphere.

A good little pub in a bit of a random location. Definitely pricey - portion sizes weren't the largest for a Sunday Roast, however, the meat quality was definitely up there. Good range of beers on tap but not quite enough for the pricing that they're asking.

Great experience at The Cod. We went for a Sunday lunch and the food was brilliant. Pork roast was amazing. The staff were very attentive, we didn t have to ask for anything like water etc. The wines were great too. They offered extra dessert as the mains were slow to arrive (we didn t notice, again due to the service being so great, we felt looked after!)

Never eat dinner here ever again, staff constantly reminded us we had to give up our table even though we still had plenty of time to go. Incredibly rude. It was an anniversary dinner, lousy treatment.

Lovely atmosphere and a pretty nice pub.

Lovely atmosphere and a pretty nice pub.

The food was good, we all got burgers and were fairly impressed.
The chips were really the star of the show, the triple cooked fries were mostly roast potatoes and the cheesy truffle fries were really tasty with a proper cheese used on top (not rubbish cheese that tastes of nothing!).

Definitely enjoyable for a quick lunch.

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast dinner, which was just the right amount of food. Unfortunately we were seated near the backdoor, which didn't close properly and let a cold winter breeze in, instead of the dining area due to overbooking. Staff were very pleasant, and not too intrusive.

Walked in, was immediately told by a clearly stressed and rushed waitress that there were no tables in the restaurant and we would have to wait for 45 mins to get food. Very unfriendly staff welcome

The fish and chips were unbelievable. It was one giant, fresh piece of fish covered with just the right amount of batter. The chips were giant pieces of perfectly cooked potatoes. We had the burger as well which had so much flavor. A must visit place in London!

Never had a bad meal here. This is a high-end Gastro-Pub for people that truly love their food and drink. You're likely to bump into one or two celebrities here, including myself, so don't let that put you off! Lunch is excellent in a quirky setting. Service is generally good but could be great? This place gets busy so book or come early. A great place off the beaten track. If you like then please .

Visited five months ago and the food was excellent , as it always was in the past. Today it has definitely gone down hill....staff can't understand the orders, can't order the Sunday Roast Beef medium rare - always comes thickly sliced and overcooked. Have been coming here regularly over the last 12 years I now won't bother going back. Not impressive. Very average meal. Meat overcooked and waiting staff can't understand the English language to take orders.
