Awesome restaurant! There are great drink selections and so many good meal options it can be difficult to pick. However you can rest assured that you will enjoy anything you choose.

Staff is very friendly and prompt. The atmosphere is cosy and intimate.

What a great place! Beautiful inside, staff were wonderful, professional, accommodating. I had the salmon and it was so delicious that I couldn't waste time taking a picture. My girlfriend's also loved their entrees- market fish and vegetarian chili. Will definitely return, thank you for a highly enjoyable evening.

Loved this place! Very attractive and comfortable space in an old bank building. Meals were delicious and the service was very warm and welcoming. We'll come back to try the full menu. We dined tonight from the prixe fixe which is certainly good value.

This makes all my other 5 stars look like s 4s. Seems like it was a bank in its past life. High ceilings, giant windows and at least two vaults. Had BBQ Beef Hash for brunch, it was some kind of amazing. Staff are doubleplusgood. The customer service is excellent and as a side note, the scones are quite possibly the best I've ever had.

Really good food and great service. Really nice interior, really cool how they converted this old bank. The desserts are out of this world, particularly the Carrot Cheesecake and Cherry pie.

Not only was the food absolutely to die for, but our waitress Sasha made our dinner a whole lot better. She was friendly, sweet, and provided excellent service. She was probably the best waitress I ve ever had. We came for prime rib dinner Sunday! The prime rib portions were surprisingly large and was a very good deal. The salmon was the best salmon I ve had in my life. I would definitely recommend Aberdeen tavern!

The food was pretty good. We had brunch and chose home fries as our side. They were deep fried diced potatoes full of inedible bits of over fried crispiness.they were disappointing but the rest was good. The decor is gorgeous but the music is awful. It is way too loud and made me feel like I was in a bar at night instead of having brunch on a Saturday. The service was great.

I took my family out for Easter brunch (8 of us) I have to say I had the worst omelette...it was over cooked and barley anything inside maybe one spinach leaf i had to open it up to find it ...how on earth can you screw up an omelette...my toast was burnt and my daughters boyfriend his sandwich bread was burnt they served it burnt side down. He didnt want to say anything he told me after ..I realize that it is busy day on Easter but my bill was over 300 dollars and no one was happy with the meals...they even ran out of the herb scones ...I must say the best thing was the drinks and thank god I had one before my meal......This resteraunt needs professional cooks at least one that can cook an omelette and not serve people burnt and terrible food ....I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS RESTERAUNT TO ANYONE AND I WILL NOT BE BACK !

One of the best places to eat in Hamilton! I've come here for a brunch birthday and lunch after graduating, everything is absolutely delicious. The food is so creative and well seasoned and the ambiance is excellent. The staff are also amazing people, they are so accommodating, knowledgeable and kind. Perfect for date night or a special occasion. Please do yourself a favour and visit the Aberdeen Tavern!

Have eaten here a dozen times. Always great service. They speak very highly of their burger but it would be the thing to avoid. Much better things on the menu and far better burgers in Hamilton.

Fantastic experience at Aberdeen Tavern. Ruth was very charming and made sure we were well taken care of. My wife had the Alfredo carbonara and I had the pork chop. Both were delicious and perfectly cooked. So good we forgot to take pictures to post online.

The people, the service, the food, the ambiance - this restaurant's got it all! It's too bad I live in Montreal, otherwise I'd dine here all the time.

Came here for a birthday recently. Overall, was a fairly good experience. The meatloaf was unfortunately not as good as expected (more of a mush than a loaf--though this could also be personal preference), however the customer service was wonderful and responded very well to this. Service was good throughout the evening and the potato gratin side option was actually very good and I would highly recommend trying it.

This is a very upscale "Tavern". Originally built to house a bank, they have done an outstanding job converting it into a restaurant. They have a great menu, and a nice selection of locally crafted beer.

Dan was an amazing server! Very helpful when my friend needed some simple keto friendly substitutions. Very on the ball with service here and the food was fantastic. I had the salmon. Delicious.

Excellent service and atmosphere. I had the tofu butter chicken. It was good but if the tofu was fried or even grilled it would have been so much better. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals. Nice portion size for lunch.

We just enjoyed the #easterathome special from the Aberdeen and can't say enough about the level of quality in the menu as well as the level of detail and care in the preparation, communication and delivery. Well done!

For a corporate dinner of respected clientele, we booked the upper apartment of the Aberdeen Tavern. The prie-fixe menu was fantastic and the food was delicious. The ambiance was on point with soft background music and fitting decor. The private upstairs bathroom was a great touch for our dinner. Will certainly the back.

Trendy comfortable atmosphere. The staff were attentive and friendly, and allowed us time to visit with our friends - we were never rushed. The food was very good. We enjoyed our visit here very much and will return!

Although they cal to have a lot of vegan options I found their menu quite lacking and what I did need up getting was subpar for the long wait time. However the restaurant style, atmosphere and staff were all very nice I may go back but I probably would not recommend.

My now wife and I went here for lunch on a recommendation from a colleague, and we ended up having our wedding reception in The Apartment space upstairs. The food was incredible, and after we met with the event coordinators we knew that we had the place to end our special day with the people closest to us.

If you are having a small wedding, go to the Tavern and ask to see The Apartment. The space is great, the photos are amazing, and the staff were even better. Cannot recommend this place enough.

I found the portion sizes to be just right for me, I was pretty full after 3 courses, and I got a reservation 2 days before we went.

Everything was so good. We tried their Brunch and it was absolutely divine. The smoked salmon was one of the finest of its kind! The crab cake was not only instaworthy but everybite was packed with meat and decently spiced. Loved the egg Benedict and finished with cheesecake French toast. So happy to have found this place! Will definately come back for more :)))

Just fantastic! My hubby and I went for our anniversary and it was a fabulous meal. We've been looking for a new place to eat in Hamilton and this is *it*.
The Tavern Salad is a amazing - i could eat it every day - and so is the extensive vegetarian menu - a nice touch. It was hard to decide what to order, and we had no room for dessert after, alas. Next time!

The Aberdeen Tavern is my favourite restaurant for brunch. The service is fantastic and the food is always delicious. I strongly recommend the cheesecake stuffed french toast. And the scones. And pretty much on everything on the menu. I've yet to have a disappointing experience and I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Very good but also very expensive definitely a place to go to for special occasions

My wife and I tried it out based on the reviews. We were let down. She ordered the steak and I ordered a salmon on bean dish. The appetizer was quite good, fried brussel sprouts.

The salmon dish was new, but it was not very well put together. Way too beans and kinda boring flavours. The hostess wanted feedback on the new dish but neither her nor the server returned to ask how the meal was.

The steak was overcooked... for 40$ mis-cooked isn't acceptable. However as no one returned we could not address the issue.

Overall, nice atmosphere. Good cocktails, and service was prompt and friendly (less the disappearing act). Not worth the $130 price tag for the mediocre meal.

I've been visiting Aberdeen tavern since it opened first in 2014. It impressed me at first and keeps me happy every time I come back. Nice eclectic yet classy atmosphere, professional service and amazing food every time. Decent offering of craft beers. Brunch is to die for!

The smoked turkey sandwich and cheesecake stuffed French toast are delicious for brunch.

The food was delicious. It was very busy, we made a reservation and would recommend one. There was a mix up with my left overs and the server cleaning our table (not our server) threw them out. When I asked her for them she slammed a glass on our table and said "well you never asked for them" - the manager was very kind and made the situation right (brought me fresh leftovers to take home and gave our table complimentary drinks) Although I will likely not return because I'm not going to pay over $100 for my meal to be yelled at by a rude server.

Fun and friendly staff along with delightful entrees and dessert. Highly recommend a visit for any occasion. If your a fan of berries and have a taste for rich cream I strongly suggest the Brown butter cake.

I have been wanting to go here for a while and I am glad we finally did. I had the steak and it was perfect. Cooked evenly and seasoned exactly the was it should be. Prices are a little high but this is one of those cases where you are paying for the quality. Smaller venu so it feels cozy and personal. Definitely recommend for a special evening!

If you have not been to the Aberdene Tavern you are truly missing out! The service was amazing, all dishes and drinks were brought out in a timely manner. We got 3 apps, all of which were extremely tasty. 4 different entrees, all amazing as well. I will for sure be back! Thank you to Sarah our server for going the extra mile the whole night. Good food, the roasted duck seemed a little undercooked, was very red. But it was very flavourful. Rissoto was good, the calamari was great as well. Cocktails are very unique. Friendly staff, although they seem to all pitch in to help with the tables so sometimes if we asked for something it wouldn't be passed onto the next staff member and got lost.
