18-02-2020 My bus pass applications gone missing
:( MEARS GROUP along with Brighton Hove County Council housed me in a home with Asbestos!! :( I'm now being made effectivly homeless with 3 auto immune diseases. Allied Protection (fire alarms) and Mears Group (repairs) are the worst companies employed by this council I have ever come across much like many of the Housing Associations that get equally terrible reviews look for yourself. The pavements have been disgusting after the leaf fall last month were left dangerously unswept the whole length of Beaconsfield Villas and dangerously slippery leaves all along the cycle paths. Yes we noticed.

Really shocked by the way Brighton & Hove City Council have dealt with my parking ticket dispute. I have been in regular contact with them by email and letter to dispute the charge yet my details were still passed to High Court Enforcement More

They keep giving incorrect information to jobcentre in other towns and also Brighton and they cut money from those who are on a very low income.i called we recorded their calls. they told us that won't happen again.and I should receive some money for the gaps too because of housing payments .not only again my money reduced and they never payed all the gaps which I was intitle too.we wrote a application to court and I am going to fight them until last minute.they are not friends of mine.very dishonest council workers.

My wife and I are regularly visititors to our daughter who lives in Livingston Road Hove we are very disappointed and surprised to see people drinking excessively and obviously drunk! sitting on the pavement and on public seating In George Street the small local shopping area / pedestrian walk through also the number of bikes that ride in this non cycling area who weave in and out of mothers with punsh chairs, young children and old people.
We are disappointed that this dehaviour is allowed to happen, it has been evident on all of our visits, there appears to be no control from the council or the police and it seems that we and local resident just have to put up with this type of behaviour.

Telephone opening times between the hours of 9 a.m to 1 p.m is very helpful when I m working a standard working hour day much like the rest of the U.K during this pandemic.

Thanks guys. Hope the sarcasm is not too obvious.

I don t want to listen to automated service for 20 minutes. Received the summons for council tax and I am a full-time student. Spelled my name wrong. And now after 4 days trying to contact them I just listen to classical music on repeat. They just want to get money from you and nothing else.

The council is more interested in feeding its fat ...

The council is more interested in feeding its fat cats than investing in vital services for its residents! Over the last several years, the streets have become more dirty, the amount of rough sleepers has increased exponentially, no investment in infrastructure, etc.. I can go on for a long time (believe me) but will spare you the gory details. But guess what? Council tax increases every year and huge amounts of money taken from parking with nothing to show for it except for the council's fat cats taking obscene salaries (Google it to see just how much--you will be shocked) !

Disappointed long time resident.

Visited Brighton this weekend. Streets filthy look...

Visited Brighton this weekend. Streets filthy looks like pavements not cleaned in ages. Loads of rubbish lying around. Lots of homeless begging. Public toilets by the Pavillion in a horrible state despite it saying there is an attendant. Don't understand where the city is spending it's money as parking costs high and a standard hotel really expensive. Some one needs to get their act in gear. Won't be back.

I am very disappointed indeed. What are you doing ...

I am very disappointed indeed. What are you doing Brighton & Hove City Council authorities? why not provide shelters for homeless individuals? why not clean the city? Services such as bus tickets and council tax are amongst the most expensive in the country and yet services below average and standard expected!
