Not one of my fav spots, but I enjoy from tim to time. People watching is a trip.

best hangout place, best food and the friendliest crowd.

I was SO excited to try this place! It has a cool theme, fun looking drinks and a food truck after 9pm on the weekends. I'm a man's man but I like sweet blended drinks. The interior is very well done and basically forces you into a happy, chill, vacation vibe.

I've come here a couple times against my will. I'm not a club person anyways, but I give anything a chance, and at first I did find the scantily clad dancers pretty amusing. Besides this place being expensive, crowded and the music being generic and repetitive, (that's every club in Hollywood so I won't single out the Abbey) the service is what will make me never come back here again. Certain servers here are on some type of elitist high horse and have no respect for people. I don't expect costumer service from a bar, or really from anywhere. The service industry is hard and usually pays minimum wage so I honestly never expect or seek out formalities or cheerfulness from my servers, but just on a personal level I have never come across such rude people as some of their bartenders. My gay friends love the place though & if you're wasted I'm sure you'll have a great time, but you can have an equally great time anywhere else in WeHo without having to put up with disrespect.

BEEN GOING TO THIS PLACE SINCE DAY ONE OF IT'S GRAND OPENING .... A MUST FOR DINNER, BOOZE, AND DANCE. AND YES CELEBRITY PALOOZA.

How can anyone afford to go here anymore? I use to visit this establishment when this was I smaller coffee bakery with a patio sculpture store next door.
With the cost of expensive drinks/food, Uber/Lyft ride or WH DUI, stolen wallet and phone, over charges on your bill, clothes to purchase to be noticed, a fresh hair cut, a some what kind of a dance floor, wow is it all worth it? Not for me, I would rather patron a classy establishment with kind bar tenders and staff.

Best place to eat and party if in LA. Eat there during the day and party by night.

Such a great gay institution in West Hollywood! The place is massive considering the location. Drinks are somewhat expensive, but you shouldn't let that deter you. If you're looking for a fun gay experience in LA, day or night, then you should definitely check out The Abbey!

First time going to the Abbey and I was definitely not disappointed. The music was poppen, dancer we're friendly and very energetic...Drinks were delicious and inexpensive. Had an amazing time for sure!

This is a pretty nice place. Good music, dancers and drinks. But there s a problem: I ve entered and put my things on the locker. Later, they have split the nightclub into 2 places; and my things got on the other nightclub space where I couldn t enter again without get a huuuuuuuuge line of people who was just arriving. And this rude security didn t even listen to me when I ve asked just to get my things back from the locker. It was freezing, I ve paid for the locker, I ve got the line before and he just wanted me to get back. But in very rude way he said I should get back the line (without any clothes), because suddenly they ve splited the nightclub. He was rude. He was awful. So, I don t give The Abbey 5 stars, but 3.

Came for drinks! Great atmosphere. Great drinks. I had a French 75. It was delicious. Service was great. Host was very polite and accommodating. Want to come back for dinner next time.

i vaguely recall my visit here aside from that i know w great certainty that i had a really good time dancing here about 5 years ago the day i fell climbing on a rock in Venice w Ole Billy. looking forward to returning & hopefully forming some more blurry but positive memories

Super crowded but what can you do it's the most popular gay club on the world.. there is even a reality show about it!

Great place! Primarily a gay night club bar but food is very good and they have a bakery and make homemade deserts. No velvet rope and friendly staff. Always busy. Here is a photo of Saturday drag show that I took while driving by from my car. Sunday is very very busy.

Great food, great service and reasonably priced. Large selection of well made specialty cocktails. Ambience is cool. Huge outside patio with lots of sitting. Vibe is relaxed and friendly

The place to go when you don't know where to go in WeHo. Likeable, mostly friendly, and fun decor.

I'm from the Los Angeles area and this is the best place hands down that you come around to find the greatest people in the world!

Mediocre at best. Too many batchelorette parties there on the night that I was there. I'm sorry but gay men aren't meant to be entertainment for straight women.

We were just here for brunch. The food was good, the service was not. The server seemed to be avoiding us. One guy put someone else's food on our table then walked away, we didn't touch the food and just waited until they came and grabbed it. They didn't say anything to us about it. They made a new dish for the people who were supposed to receive it, then we had to sit there for about 20 mins while those guests spoke to 2 servers and a manager while pointing at us and complaining that they wanted fresh plate because it was put on our table. Nobody came to apologize to us, and our server barely came around to serve us. The prices also seemed high, for example $5.50 for an orange juice is a little crazy.

Go see Bowie!!! She made our day!! The drinks were awesome and she is FUN! Thanks for the great experience Bowie!

I love the abbey and been there a lot but at the bakery station, the guy never nice and attitude! why u guy guys keep this person? that one is old guy with glasses and brat. why David the owner never sees IT? so nasty and attitude. I wasn't the dump guy to ask about the cake which i didn t know. it seemed like he was not happy to be there or answer all the questions, so brat. no happy better quit. Don't go to order the cake with that guy. All servers and bartenders are helpful accept that one . he is nastyyy

too popular for it's own good. if you like not being able to move without rubbing against several people at once, this is your place.

Diverse, fun, engaging, and a safe, friendly atmosphere. Music was great, dancers were energetic, and a great place to make friends. You won't find a place quite like this elsewhere.

Having never been to a gay bar before, I was thrown in the deep end when I went here on Pride with a group of friends. The place is enormous and it was packed. There were male go-go dancers and everyone was dancing. Bar service was quick.

While I don't plan on becoming a regular, I had fun and would recommend a visit by anyone interested in the WeHo bar scene or famous LA bars.

Great place to find some of the most attractive gay men in the world also their cocktails are incredible good but pricey and is a long wait to manage a waiter or yourself to get one. Stay away from their food menu unless you are drunk and hungry, then it will taste like heaven.

Hold onto your belongings- pickpockets galore there - even found id s on floor - be careful

"Tete" Matthew, is the best waiter we've had there. Always order the Steak and Fries and an Oatmeal Cookie Shot. Great atmosphere! Hotties of all rainbow flavor. The perfect LGBT environment!

a friendly place easily accessible from all over los angeles. for 3 consecutive nights we have been here. after finding out, we never left him. beautiful music, beautiful gebte and wonderful local!

Abby is awesome to go to and chill. But not to buy all your drinks sense the prices are high. Trunks is a better place to start off then head to the abby after.

Great music and good drinks with a free entrance. Now the problem comes to the huge annoying amount of people to the point you cant even walk, you have to literally push people to get out of that place.

**Beware of Pickpockets**!! Four people in my group had their phones stolen out of their purses, and 1 person got their wallet stolen.

I reported it to the manager and he asked me to call back the next morning to see if any more phones were turned in, so I did. I also took the manager's name down, just in case.

The next morning when I called back the guy on the phone acted very suspiciously. He immediately denied that any phones had been turned in, which I knew was a lie - since I had seen these phones the night before. I also mentioned the manager's name to this guy, and he denied knowing who that was (?!).

All in all, LAPD knows how shady this place is.
Be EXTREMELY wary of this place - especially the bar and dance floor.

Great place to come and have some fun with your friends. I mean we have a blast every time we come here. The staff are really nice and the atmosphere is amazing.

Great place and my goto Gay Bar when I m visiting. I don t understand all the negative reviews, cuz I don t believe them. We live in a world where people will complain about anything. Love their staff, social media, love the city, and their community. My advice, these reviews are from people who had their egos bruised. We are all adults take responsibility for your own actions. Go out and experience the Abbey. You will love it. See you in fall

This place is AWESOME!!! Came for my birthday last weekend and was blown away by the venue. Great energy, great staff, good food/drink, and amazing dancing! The dj played great world music and the vibe was eclectic and happy. I'll def be coming back!

Cute place, servers are rude and slow but the manager that was there really cared about the place and their customers. Food was amazing and the drinks as well!

Well the bar tenders ignore you for an hour, so unless you like to wait to get served I wouldn't suggest this spot, but instead the flamming saddle!

This place is awesome I lost my phone the other night and they actually went out of their way and called me to let me know that they have it safe and sound.

I went here on a Saturday night and it felt like a high school / college party. Folks were playing ping pong and games. It was very crowded and hot. The drinks are reasonably priced. The entrance is cool, reminds me of NYC bars.

It s kind of gay but not super gay. Kind of like me.

Annoying security asking you to put at shirt on a hot dancefloor which is not air-conditioned properly in Chapel

Pretty awesome place! Great staff, strong drinks, and a good place to be proud to be gay or gay friendly! Definitely worth a stop, particularly for an outdoor space.

My cell was stolen twice at this place. The waiters overcharge you "by mistake." Once the mistake cost me $80 dollars for a drink that was priced at $15. How innocent of them! And it happened several times. I was drunk but my receipt was the proof and my bank statement. Fortunately, I called the manager and he fixed the problem. I recommend you take cash with you and watch your wallet. Anyway, it's still a great place to dance the night away. Snobbish types but who gives a f...?

i might have written a review, but will do it again hokis. This place is one of the funnest bar/restaurant I've been to. Full of life, delicious food , drinks , and up beat music. Oh, and really nice GO GO dancers. spent one of my birthdays here. YEP

It's the Abbey for gods sake. Experience it. You might just love it.

WATCH OUT FOR PICK-POCKETERS. EVEN THE BUTTONED BAGS AREN'T SAFE. WISH THERE ARE SIGNS THAT WARN PATRONS ABOUT THEFT ACTIVITIES.

The music is always on point and their food menu is GREAT. My favorite is their Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup. WOW. Their service could use some serious help though. I would ve given 4-stars for this review but their service really is just awful. The wait for them to take your order and the wait to receive your order will be approximately one hour, that s pretty terrible. If I go and don t order food, only drinks, I still would ve only given them 4-stars because their service just sucks. Besides their service, I really do love this place.

Let's try them tonight hopefully it won't be as the rest whom had bad experiences ,, plug review tonight after 12 am , let's see what they got
