The 40/40 Club Review

I wish I had read reviews prior to eating here. I was looking forward to an upscale experience but this wasn t it.

Our server was amazing and very informative. She also was accommodating given that we were cold by the door & asked to move.

The food portions were huge, and the food was tasty but nothing special for the price. My drink was very tasty though - I ordered the code.

The music was toooo good! We jammed all dinner ! My favourite part. The venue was dingy, a lot could be updated & made more upscale. I also packed my meal to go & the take our bag & presentation was horrible, that of a convenience store or something.

I think the mistake we made was eating at an obvious club. This place comes off totally different online which I find kind of shocking. There wasn t much luxury about it. It came off as though they lost it over the years. They can do better with presentation & food for sure. They should definitely turn it into only a lounge/club & keep it at that.

This club is on point.
There was a nice mixed crowd.
Nice light, and sound system.
The DJ played all the hits.
No problems with the bouncers.
The staff was professional.
Everyone had a great time.

This club is came here for a friend birthday and the vip section is on point. The rest of the club is pretty dope too. The dj was on point. Drinks were a little expensive but that's nightlife in nyc. I also ordered penne with vodka sauce and grilled chicken and that was surprisingly good.

I came here with my mom and sister and we literally didn t know where to go because no one came and escorted us or even asked us if we wanted to go eat or drink. We came to eat and it took like 10-20 minutes just for us to be seated and we had to initiate it and ask the employees where we could sit to eat. I am vegan so I had one of their salads and asked for no cucumber but the chef put literally so much cucumber at the bottom of the salad that I took out an entire side plate of cucumber piled about an inch high. My sister ended up eating them. Then, I ordered the rice and beans and, mind you, we were only given two menus (for three people) and one of the menus was missing the first two menu pages. My menu said the rice and beans was beans over steamed jasmine rice. So, being vegan, I ordered that and French fries alongside my salad. The chef gave us chicken fried rice first. Then, gave us rice and beans with pico and feta cheese on top. Finally, I got the rice and beans and none of the food was that good.

I know this all sounds like complaint, because it is, but the good parts of it were that we enjoyed ourselves, nonetheless. I liked the amount of minimal light in there and liked my server. He made jokes and tried to hear us the best he could in the noise. The other people were watching the games and being interactive and just having a good ole time. It was a nice scene also seeing everyone dressed nicely. I ordered the virgin daiquiri but got a passion fruit smoothie and it was bomb. It was a small cup but it lasted me all of my food and it was, once again, bomb. I loved it. I will be coming back here again to try some of the other salads and my mom and sister enjoyed their meals also. I can t say it was terrible because it wasn t. Was it amazing? Not really, but will I be returning? Most definitely because I look forward to having better experiences here knowing the vibe of it now.

I visit this spot with my mates last Saturday. This spot has an extraordinary feel, much littler than it looks however a pleasant method to observe any donning event.The nourishment and beverages were alright, agreeable. I'd seen it throughout the years, however never ceased. It is the best spot around the local area to go with associates after office for getting a charge out of beverages and feeling unwind.

Date night out with my husband & this was a great choice!! 8:30pm on a Saturday night & it wasn't crowded at all, even though it was Pride wknd! There weren't any events taking place, so it was nice. The music was good & the service was great. My husband had the short rib & LOVED it, my chicken was good as well. I would definitely recommend this place & plan on going back again.

I love Baobab!!! Who knew Senegalese food would be so.. . Fresh and delicious!!!! Must hunt for more! They have a great yelp deal right now, 28 for 40 and trust me it's worth it. Yelp currently won't allow me to do 4.5 stars which I think is more honest only because the portion is slightly smaller than I would normally pay for, but hey, we live in a world where bigger is supposed to be better......the food however tastes amazing. Please try their plantain appetizer, you won't regret it.

This club was a lot of fun! At first, when I entered this club, the staff were very entertaining and friendly. I decided to sit on their chairs, and I was amazed by the place. It was organized, clean, and cool. The food is taste good. Also, they serve different alcohols. I like everything about their club. Honestly, it was a very good place to enjoy. Till next time! Highly recommended!

Stopped in on a Saturday. Had reservations for 7. We arrived and were seated next to the main entrance. It was pretty cold, so we asked to be seated somewhere else. The waitress was fine with it and seated us near the side entrance. Still cold because the guy at the door kept opening it up for no apparent reason. We asked if we could sit near the center of the restaurant but she told us they were $1500 tables only. I'm not sure how a party of 4 could spend that when the most expensive thing on the dinner menu is $38. Anyway, we were hungry and decided to stay. Our "booth" was semi private. Shared by another table. The tables are coffee table height by the way. Our server hadn't arrived yet, so the girl that seated us took our drink and food orders. Our waiter showed up sometime between our drinks being delivered and appetizers showing up. Food and drinks were pretty good. No complaints. The server wasn't the greatest. Took plenty of time in between visits. Not a problem if it was busy, but it wasn't. Not really sure where he kept disappearing to. Not what we're expecting. Definitely will not be back.

Enjoying a lot with friends... Their service is quite impressive and the drinks were awesome..
