Thayer Marine Inc Review

I just bought a Ranger Z20 Comanche from Thayer's Marine and was very impressed with how smoothly everything went. Richie exceeded my expections in every way. He is extremely knowledgeable regarding every aspect of boating. He answered several emails timely and his responses were very helpful. I recommend Thayer's and will continue to use them for all my boating needs. Thank you Thayer's Marine!

I purchased a brand new bass boat from Thayer Marine 2 years ago and have nothing but good things to say about Richie and his staff. I live in Vermont 4 hours away, so it would be easy to dismiss any issue or question I have and recommend a local Evinrude dealer. This was my first boat, so I have had many questions about the boat over the last 2 years and they are just as prompt in replying to my e-mails today as they were when I was interested in purchasing the boat 2 years ago. One of my friends has since purchased a boat from Thayer Marine and I would recommend anyone interested in purchasing a boat to stop in. They will take care of your boating needs regardless of the distance.

Thayer's always treats me and my boat well. I had some storm damage fixed and when I showed up the boat was wahed, vacuumed all cleaned up looking great. What a nice surprise!

I can't say enough good things about Thayer's Marine. I live in Central PA. Bought a brand new 17 TX Triton in June. Had a mishap with the Custom Marine Master Trailer. It got accidentally totaled. The boat dealer I purchased my boat from did absolutely nothing to help me try and get another one. I reached out to 25 dealers throughout PA and the East Coast. Richie Thayer went above and beyond the call of duty to order me a new trailer. Had it in 4 weeks which was amazing in these times. We drove 640 miles round trip to Norwich. Thayer's Marine cares about every customer and they treat you like a member of the family. I will be forever thankful for Richie and his tremendous work ethic and customer service.. Keep up the great work. A class act for sure.

Was looking to upgrade my bass boat however I think they thought I wasn't going to do my research. In the end what I received was a low value on my trade in and a high retail price on the new boat. Needless to say I will be looking at more competitive bass boat dealerships.

I bought a new boat from Thayers Marine and the experience was top notch. After the sale service and attention is second to none. If you are in the market please do yourself a favor and give Richie a call you will not be disappointed.

Brought my boat there for 15,000 dollars worth of motor work and when I went to pick it up about a year later, they treated me so badly! I wanted to clean my boat before it went in the water so I asked if I could,they said sure. As I was cleaning this truck pulled up and started swearing at me telling me to get the f down off the boat! Multiple times! And the service person also was swearing at me because of a storage bill that they said I would not have! I will never go back there. And the two people swearing at me where the grandfather and the father the two owners! The son was the only nice one there besides the help.

Let me start by saying I am not one to write reviews, but I feel in this case I have too. I recently worked with Rich as I was looking to buy a new boat. Rich was extremely helpful every step of the way. He provided excellent recommendations and advice. In the end a used boat showed up and financially it was the better option for me. If I had bought new, or if he had a used boat that I was interested in, he would have had my business in a hart beat. Thank you Rich for your professionalism and patience! In the future when I look to move up in size you will be hearing from me. You will also hear from me before then as there are some things I want for my new to me boat.

Was very unhappy with my service. Did not communicate well about what was happening with my boat. Was quoted a week and a half and it took 3 weeks. Also was quoted one price and had to pay double the quoted price upon pickup.

I thought that the the I thought at the bus station was but it was very good and I was very friendly and I got a I got a break in the price but I feel that it was worth it because I thought that on fil if I had not used the bus station and I'll only be watching for hours on end and I think it's a great help but I don't think they should go too high on the price even know what's going on and have to they have to go make the games back because they have there that are employees as well but I have to make the money but I understand that but they should have a better way I think they should keep it free longer or have a cheaper way to sell bus tickets.

Thayers Marina is that family like feeling when u walk in the door! They have everything you need to fix any of your boat problems if they dont have it richie or zack will get it for you asap and at aa fair price no price gouging there!!! Pull up to there dock or walk in the front super friendly staff who will go the extra mile to make sure your satisfied!!!

I'm not a customer. However, I deliver one of the brands of boats they sell. My experience with the Thayers have been nothing but positive in my years of deliver boats to them. I can say with confidence that the very least the same will be regarding the customers they serve.

This Boat Dealer is amazing. Not only did they get me a great price on a new Pontoon Boat, they have been fabulous on the service side. I recently had an issue with a GPS/Si Helix system and they swapped it out without question. When you want a new or used boat, service, or Boat Supplies this is a must

Purchased a boat from them back in February. Everyone was great and very helpful from start to finish. Recently had to bring it in for some warranty motor work. They were very accommodating and were willing to fix it right on the spot so I wouldn't have to make another trip. ( I live over a hour away) I highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a boat. Truly A++ customer service.

I purchased a boat from Thayer's marine a couple months ago, and I have to say that Richie and his team of employees definitely know a lot about the products that they are selling. Richie worked very hard to find me the best possible option for financing the boat that I chose, and he was very responsive to all the questions that I emailed him in a quick and timely manner! I absolutely love the boat that I purchased from Thayer's marine, and if I ever decide to upgrade to an ever bigger Walleye boat to go trolling with, I'm coming back here to Thayer's marine !!

I'm usually not one to leave reviews, but I feel it was warranted this time. Richie went above and beyond to answer any questions I had about a boat purchase, even after hours. This company will do whatever they can to help you, He even sent me a video of the motor running because I couldn't be there. I drove three hours to go down and look at a bass boat, which I ended up coming home with. My only gripe is that I don't live closer to do more business with them. I was looking into boating and was a little intimidated about it until I met Rich down at thayers marine. Not only did he put my worries at ease he was very knowledgeable and had my best interests in mind. I am now a proud owner of a new boat. I still depend on Rich for many questions as I am still new to this whole lifestyle. He has never not taken my calls and is always willing to offer help or advise even though it has been long since I boat the boat. What a great company great service and great people.

I've dealt with these guys for about 20 years. They have always provided outstanding service exceptional knowledge of parts provided me with the best pricing I could get and had the stuff on time when they said they could get it. The service department has taken care of all of the outboard motors I've ever owned and I've never had a problem after they've worked on something. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else as long as they are still in business. I always get greeted by my first name when I walk in the door and treated like a family friend and for that I am loyal to their business.

I purchased a lund boat from Richie Thayer three weeks ago at first he was very prompt in email responses but after papers were signed no emails when trolling motor didn t work and all gages didn t work I brought it in they have had it for 8days I called yesterday and jenifer the service manager told me they haven t looked at it yet! Don t purchase from this business they will wine you and dine you and if you need service they won t even email you or call your left woundering why you purchased from them ? Calling better business Burrough

Richie is incredible, patient with all my questions, helpful with suggestions, honest and upfront with prices. I unfortunately was a tough customer with tons of questions and had to back out but the way Richie handled everything was with great character and understanding. I highly highly recommend not looking elsewhere when shopping for a boat.

Contact this marina about 3 different boats on several of their contact platforms. Never once was I contacted back .
Not one question ever answered via an platform.
Heard good things about this place , But it Feels little like if your not spending top dollar your businesses is not important. 3 times is more then just a Coincidence or any error .
Disappointing.

We purchased a new Bayliner from Thayer last year. We were about to take it home when we noticed some deep scratches near the bottom of the fiberglass hull. Thayer said it must have been damaged in transport. Rather than lose prime boating weeks, they suggested we use it as is and bring it to them in the fall. They would fix the damage and any other dings from our use, and would store it over the winter at no charge. We thought that was fair. When we picked up the boat this spring (after paying $1100 for an upgraded prop, winterizing, acid-washing, and installing and removing the shrink-wrapping), we saw that they had done the repair (and charged Bayliner for it, which was appropriate) but to our dismay there were some new scratches near the upper part of the hull and some of the decal stripe was scraped off. We were unhappy at the fact that for the second year in a row, no one at Thayer had carefully inspected our boat to ensure it was in good shape prior to our making the 45-minute trip there to pick it up and what s worse, the damage this time had to have been done in their yard as they were moving boats around. Thayer said they would repair it and would bring the boat to us. We asked that they meet us at our town boat launch so we could put the boat directly into the lake, and asked that they connect the battery and fill the gas tank. They said they would gas it up but we d have to reimburse them for the gas, which we weren t happy about but agreed to do. However, after the boat was repaired, they said they were short-staffed and couldn t bring us the boat for a couple of weeks. We ended up going there ourselves to pick it up. We then found the electric connector for our trailer was missing. They gave us another one at no charge but we liked our original one better. Bottom line is that we lost two weeks of boating, had to make a second 1.5-hour round-trip there, and had our property damaged or lost. Not a huge deal, but we asked if they would compensate us in some way for our less-than-satisfactory experience and they said they thought making the repair was enough.

Working with everyone at Thayer's Marine has been nothing but a pleasure for the last several years. From the boat buying experience, to the open houses, and any services needed in between. They are a great company to work with and they always ensure their customers leave 100% satisfied.

I purchased a product from thayer's marine. The company shipped the wrong product. I returned the product, with the word of 2 different customer service reps. , That this was our mistake, we will make this right. I was promised it would be sent overnight for good faith to make this right. Did not happened they screwed me again. I will never do business with this company ever again. Thanks for nothing.

DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. They have no integrity as a business.. I had worked out a deal on the purchase of a new Triton boat from them with their internet sales person, we both agreed on the price. I gave them my credit card # for a down payment charge and told Zack, internet sales person, also owners son-in-law, I would call him back in a couple of hours to transfer the rest of the sale price to them. All $57,000, I was paying cash. When I called back 3 hours later I asked for Zack and was put on hold for 30 minutes, when he did come to the phone he informed me that the owner (his father-in-law) was not going to honor the deal we had agreed upon. He would only take the agreed upon price plus another $1000. I told them that was not how I do business and would only pay the agreed upon price, the owner, though Zack, said he didn't care and $1000 above the agreed upon price was the only deal he would let go through. I ended up ordering a new Triton through another dealer who was great to work with. BEWARE of Thayer Marine and their owner with NO INTEGRITY.

I've used every service Thayers Marine offers. I've bought 2 Boats, I've sold two boats, I've had my boat detailed and I've ordered Parts and bought gear. I've put in insurance claims, I've called them at 6am on a sunday.
Their knowledge of all manners of boats, motors, and everything in between is second to none.
I cant reccomend them enough.
Best experience I've had doing business with anyone. Hats off to these guys.
