My wife and I sat down to eat here last night but ...

My wife and I sat down to eat here last night but ran into a number of issues along the way. My wife ordered a Long Island and I asked for an Old Fashioned. I was told they couldn't make it as they didn't carry bitters. I asked for a Makers whiskey neat instead. Our server brings back the drinks and mentions our food order is in. I had ice in my whiskey neat which wasn't a deal breaker but I also had a dead gnat or fruit fly in it. I mention this to the server and he apologizes. He returns with another, citing the dishwashers weren't doing their jobs right, jokingly. I look again before drinking and look and behold, another gnat / fruit fly. I ask him to send it back again for another. Third time, third bug. I call our server back to cancel our entire order now.

At this point, I'm upset. I ask to speak to the manager and am greeted my the assistant manager. We shake hands and talk about which supervisor is in charge of alcoholic beverage and who ensures cleanliness and she mentions "it's all our jobs." I then ask "so did you all neglect to clean the spirits and cap them after use?" She defers the question to the manager on duty. I tried to be courteous and shake his hand as well but am left with an awkward glare and extreme hesitance.

I get down to asking about the care and cleaning of the bar and how I could have gotten 3/3 drinks with bugs in them. The manager explains that "because the alcohol is so sweet, they're attracted to them but since it's winter, there aren't any." I follow that by asking if they've been there since Summer and he was a bit speechless. I tried to be objective and ask how he planned to address this issue in the future and he simply mentioned re education of the bar staff and all staff.

I am extremely appalled at the severe lack of customer service from the manager on duty. The server did his absolute best to try and ensure a great dining experience and the assistant manager was very attentive during our talks. The manager on the other hand was far from it.

One, clean your bar better. Two, use caps on your liquor bottles to avoid those summer gnats. Three, step up your hospitality! It is literally in your best interest to satisfy the customer and ensure their return!

The ribeye steak I had was the toughest steak I have had at the Roadhouse ever. Full of gristle and just tough. I don't like to grip but when you pay a good price for a steak you expect to enjoy it.

Amazing. Always perfect food. Perfect servers. Usually incredibly busy during peak hours, however, If you use the app, wait time is 10-15 min versus 1hr walk in wait time. Either way, you get seated quickly.

Nice atmosphere good service decent food decent prices. Maybe a "go to" place for a steak??? Ribs were ok I wouldn't order them again. I know it's hard for a restaurant to put out good ribs due to cooking times so I make it a habit to try ribs ribs everywhere I go, see if I find any good ones. Like the bread and cinnamon butter. They have a bucket of peanuts at the tables you can snack on and throw shells on the floor :) I wonder who started that. Also have a pretty nice bar in the center I could see watchin a game there...

I have been to this Texas Roadhouse many times. Not once have I had a problem with my food or service. One of my favorite things about this restaurant is they give you the option to choose your own steak. I also love the complimentary cinnamon butter and rolls.

All in all there is just too many good things say about this location just go there and eat!

ALWAYS a great dining experience! Nationwide! We've NEVER had a bad steak, always cooked perfectly. The appetizers are delicious and plenty of side dish options, even for the Keto dieters, such as myself!!

Piss poor service! I usually like eating at Texas Roadhouse where ever i go, pretty good food.
I walked in and was seated in the Abilene Texas Roadhouse fast as it had just opened. I sit waiting on someone to come take my drink order, when about 10 minutes later a couple is seated in the booth adjoining mine and a waitress comes and takes their order within 2 minutes.I wait at least another 5 minutes or more, still no service. I finally get up to leave and run into the manager so I tell him what had occurred. The manager says come on back and I ll take care of it, I said nope and walked out. Will not be back to this restaurant.

I try to get in here once a month at least. Solid steak, good baked potato. That's what I always get here. Oh yes, and cold beer! The peanuts are always a fun addition, and it's a bonus if you can bring along friends for a nice peanut shell fight. This is not the greatest steak you'll ever eat, but it's always solid.

Called 30 minutes ahead of time at 11 am for a table for a party of 10 . Upon arrival they tried to seat us at 2 booths about 8 feet apart we then asked for a booth that had a table beside it we could slide over and was told no. I asked to speak with the manager waited about 15 minutes he/she never showed so I called outback steakhouse they accommodated us with a smile so we left.

I freaky like most of the appetizers. The cheese ball things are not my favorite but still good. Their salad are good. Of course their steaks are talky good. Not the best in town but very good and consistent. The place is a bit crowded but they have good service.
