Food is always good, Mike Brown goes above and beyond as a waiter!

Food / Steaks always good. Restaurant needs to be cleaner. That would help the atmosphere and raise the eating experience.

If it was as bad as tonight's experience I would never go back...no joking!!!

Friendly people and great down south cooking. Pulled pork was so satisfying

Burned my ribs, replaced with more burned dried out ribs....enjoyed the salad though

We prefer the sirloins, and they are always very tender, juicy, flavorful, and cooked right!

Excellent service and food of course. However one of the restrooms was not working and marked as such. Seems there would be plumbers in town who could fix. Long lines as can be imagined.

I love the rolls they are my favorite the cooks do a really good job, they don't get enough credit my steak was perfect. I ate it all the flavor was spot on, thanx to the chefs for working so hard.

The food was good and although we went for dinner on a Friday night and it was extremely busy, the wait to be seated was only about 30 minutes.

Abilene location is a big disappointment. Order was slow. Service was poor steak was cold, not cooked correctly and super fatty.

The place was so good. The service was also good. Hope to go back there again.

The best waitress award goes.... MICHELE! Holy smokes! You were right there, practically read my mind on what I wanted, you were you got things DONE! You are one hell if a waitress! Thank you for serving me tonight!
Now, on to the food. There is good and some bad. Let's start with the bad and end with the good shall we?
Ok, firstly, the fries were on the soggy side of crispy so that was a no-go for me. I didn't have time to request fresh fries. It is what it is.
Secondly, the side of corn, (not cobbed) well-seasoned, but coldish.
Thirdly, fried pickles. Flavor was all there!crispness was slightly lacking. But all in all, well done.
Lastly, (forth if you last track) the ribeye steak. The flavor was on point! I requested extra flavor, and the chef delivered! Med-rare was superb!
All in all, I wish I could have stayed to enjoy the meal. But alas I was called away...well done TRH!

Rolls are great and the steak is normally cooked well.

Steaks are very good. Country Fried steak is humongous.

Steak I ordered medium rare was very good. Staff was very attentive. Place was a little crowded during my visit.

The last five orders they made mistakes on, my very last visit phoned in the order was told about a one hour before I could pick up food.
Arrived and paid for the meals was told to wait. Twenty five minutes latter asked when the food would be ready. They had forgotten about me. Asked for a refund , the young lady apologized and said she needed a manager for the refund.
The manager came out and said the food was ready,pulled a bag off the rack. I had been standing next to the food the whole time I was waiting!
I said no, the food was cold by now just give me the refund.He seemed upset. I told him I would not darken his doorway again, he said excellent.
That is not the way a manager should of handled the situation.
That is the story of my very last visit to the Abilene location of the Texas Roadhouse.

Great steaks for a chain restaurant. Staff was friendly.

This place was amazing, the drinks where are amazing and the steaks are cooked perfectly and so delicious

Placed a to-go order I ordered a steak WELL done.. I got medium NOT happy at all... I also ordered a chicken fried steak with fries and mash... Didnt get my fries... I called to let them know and the person that answered was so RUDE... And he didnt care and didnt understand why I called to complain..I paid 58.00 tonight and didnt get what I ordered... And I live 30 mins away... Ugh Its crazy that my receipt was right but my food was wrong...

Fairly good steak. Good pricing. Our server was a bot aloof, but very nice.

Literally one of my favorite places to eat, until 3pm today (Sunday).

Menus full of goo. Waitress, who also tended bar, was extraordinarily and repetitively rude, to me, my wife, and even to my young son. Rude enough, in fact, to draw attention from nearby customers. Manager pleasant, but truly ineffective. I am not an overly sensitive person, yet we did not wait for our food, we walked out. Went to Outback.

Didn't see that coming. Have to wonder if it is a downward trend. Extremely bad and extremely disappointing.

Had a wonderful meal with my kids and grandkids on Halloween after Boo at the Zoo !

My burger was salty... the fries were incredibly salty.

We eat here all the time (once a week) and they are a hit or a miss. One time we had a great server who went out of his way to customize our order. Another time I was brought a burger with a bun as flat as a cracker and just as hard.

Had a great personable server. Came for a birthday and of course had them do the saddle. Food was great.

There is big variety of food and drinks. One of the best spot for dinner in this town.

The appitiser,salad, and entree were at the table at the same time and not enough room for all of it on the small table. The food was cold before we finished our salads. The table for two should have been for drinks and appitiser only.This was a lunch time visit ,but timing of food delivery was very poor.

My boyfriend and I came in from out of town and as soon as we mentioned that it was our first time at the host desk we were given the best service! We loved the fresh baked rolls that came with us to our table. We started with the cactus blossom and that sauce!!! We couldn t get enough.
We came for lunch so we just split a pulled pork sandwich which was delicious.

The manager also came out to greet us and gave us a couple of samples from the kitchen. Which were fantastic, I ve got to get that green bean brine recipe.

Altogether we had a great experience with strong margaritas and a hard working server named Chase. We can t wait to come visit Family and Texas Road House again here in Abilene.

I dont know if it's under new management but our food was terrible, hubby got bbq chicken , either it was over cooked or old, his mash potatoes were cold. I got country fried chicken and it was not good at all, dried and gravy was watery, the salads were stale. I dont think I'll go back for A while. And I used to like this restaurant.

They helped my boyfriend and I are out a lot with assistance with helping him out to the car because he couldn't walk

Great place for dinner. Waitress was friendly. We had an offer valid only in Fort Worth but manager gave us the discount anyway.

The steaks always come out cooked to perfection & sesoned well. Everything from the appetizers to dinner are amazing. Staff is friendly and always comeback to make sure everything is ok.

Outstanding! The steak was perfectly prepared to my wife's liking. My ribs were the best that I've ever had that didn't come off of my own smoker. The bones pulled out completely clean just as they should. The meat was juicy and tender and delicious. Jamar did an outstanding job on one of the busiest nights for any restaurant. The food and service more than made it worth the two hour wait for a table.

I love the Roadhouse !!! Can't say enough good about it! Its 1 of my favorite places. Much better than Logan's!! Service is great also! You will not be disappointed!!!

I took my mother and grandson there after church on Sunday July 21, 2019. My grandson ordered Chicken fried steak and everything was great he said. My mother ordered an 8oz Sirloin, baked potato, and buttered corn. The corn was fine, the potato was not completely cooked, and her Sirloin was cooked fine but a third of it (one whole end ) was gristle, not what you expect when you order a steak. I ordered the ONLY steak that I will eat which is a Fillet Mignon because I HATE fat and gristle... It was NOT a Fillet Mignon. I know for a fact it wasn't. I was very upset with the quality of food, but may I say the service was great.

Food was horrible had to send my steak back 3 times and then they brunt it but it was rare in the middle ask for well done will not be returning
