I really enjoy the tempura here, but everything I've had is really good. The service is great as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I went there with my Dad. Had a great deal on Lobster and Steak. The food was okay. Nowhere near as good as Sakura and the chef did not put up much of a show like they do at Sakura. Our Sushi arrived 15 minutes after the Teppan chef left the table. Karma has way better sushi. For costing $70 for two people I would not say its worth it. Go to Sakura for a better show, better portions and better food.

japanese food and the atmosphere at this spot is very good. It has a good interior. Food and atmosphere reminds me of Kansas City.

I ordered soft shell crab but it was too crispy and dark with bad oil. The tempura udon soup was made of chicken powder . This is not Japanese at all. The tempura shrimp is not the right way of cooking tempura. I complained about the soup and they did admit it s chicken powder.

I visit this outstanding restaurant from time to time since I enjoy the good air that is unique to this restaurant. The staff is exceptionally friendly and skilfull. The service is remarkablywonderfully quick. Not to mention, the food they prepare is great. I visited often and I was always satisfied. The payment is reasobable. I highly suggest this place to to everybody.

Im rating my experience with the sushi part of the resturant. I have not had the teppanyaki here. Coming from LA, this sushi was not so great in comparison. But I guess for Flagstaff sushi, this was ok.

I took the lobster and the scallop and my boyfriend had the steak. The steak was so good. The cook was so funny. We had to drink sake as much as we could handle and also catch vegetables. I catched it :)
We had the sake bomber. Was slightly drunk after dinner. That is a good place.

That place is so luxury and coZy, the seafood taste awesome, and the nice roll. There have a great staff. I hope to come back again !!!

It is a very nice and cozy place, it serves very good food I tried the seafood salad was good. And the roll with the smoked salmon sashimi delighted I would like to come back again

Such a fun family experience with Chef Rain for adults and kids. Very interactive with lots of laughing. Service was quick & hospitable. Sushi was the best I ve had in years. Can t wait to go back!

The food was pretty blah! Wasabi and rice seemed like it was made days ago. No avacado or cucumber in the rolls, oily tempura.

My boyfriend and I have been coming to Teppan Fuji since it was built a while back. It has gone through (from what we ve seen) a number of different owners. They re food has always been fantastic and we never had any complaints about previous ownership, however we can t help but accolade the current ownership and staff. It is very clear that the staff goes above and beyond. We have even seen the self proclaimed owner cook and clean for us. That is not a regular occurrence in the food industry (this comes from a former waitress). Teppan Fuji is reasonable priced and their customer service is awesome. I couldn t recommend them more.

Very happy with the food, prices and quality. A regular stop for me and my kids when we are in Flagstaff.

We love this place. The food is always reliably good--not great, but always good. The teppanyaki chefs are always engaging and entertain. One of the best places to eat in Flagstaff.

This place has become our go to sushi in town. They have great mid day specials and Sunday specials. They have great service and great food. We have tried Karma, Hiros, etc. And this is by far the best with a lot more food for your money. Highly suggest it!

Great food and service a true gem for a reasonable price.

If you set a reservation, expect to wait an hour. And then they seat others in front of you. Then they act like they are confused. But they aren t. Sad.

So this is basically gas station sushi on demand. All the sushi is rolled in seaweed wrap because it's far cheaper and cut the amount of ingredients. Second you or 3 or 4 different sushi rolls and they cram them in one container. So if you try to do a group order good luck. Additionally they are so cheap they give you 3 or fewer packets of soy sauce for 2 to 4 sushi rolls. The wasabi is most definitely the cheapest they can find. Breaking it down in soy sauce is almost impossible. The ginger is the hard pink and has slightly more spice then requires not sure why they include spicy ginger when it has wasabi ball yes ball.
The only reason I give it 2 stars is for the fact that it's the cheapest in town.

Went to get some sushi for dinner.
Ok, I am not from this neighborhood so googled for sushi restaurant. Rating on yelp betrayed me.
We ordered some nigiri and 2 rolls. Waited for 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, server came and said "chef says rolls are ready, but nirigi will take more time. So he was wondering if you want to cancel your nigiri orders".
We already waited 45 minutes and it was after 8pm. So we said "ok, just cancel those and we will just have rolls".
10 minites later, server came back with our rolls in TAKE-OUT BOX!!! She said chef put those in the box in case we just want to take them out and gave us 4 pieces of tuna nigiri for free.
We just had to laugh. What else can you do??
Worst thing is, rolls and tuna sushi were not even good AT ALL. It was the worsr I've ever tasted in my life.
Sorry for bad review but I had to share this experience.
Maybe this place is good for Teppan but definitely not for sushi.
Only good thing about this place was the server was nice enough to apologize.

Edwin was amazing! I travel all over going to Japanese steakhouses from Alaska to the east coast and Edwin's performance was unique. The service was great on all fronts and the food was delicious!

Food was great, had to do take out because of covid 19. Was a little pricey. They automatically took a 20% tip which I dont remember them mentioning when I ordered. I get it times are tough but the total on the grub hub was 41$ and then when I picked up the food I saw on the receipt I was charged 49$ so kinda of sneaky. I always tip 20% when I go to a restaurant but not as much when I do take out. Also I selected on of the rolls to be a hand roll and they just missed that. I would reccomend heros sushi instead. Better food better prices.

Came for the all you can eat sushi lunch special.

At first glance it's a great deal, however upon receiving our first plate I can say that they deliberately put too much rice to fill you up. It's a compromise of course given the price. Second course spicy salmon roll was actually pretty generous with the fish.

Anyway I'd rather they limit the costs of all you can eat in other ways than adding rice, it lowers the quality of the food and that's a bummer. It's even worse because they pack all this rice on the nigiris and then charge you for leaving any. Other ways I've seen places limit costs and boost profit are by time (charge per hour) or having a higher price point (I'd pay $20 easy if the fish to rice ratio was good).

Just my two cents.

Dude this restaurant is awesome. I'm on vacation and stay in Sedona had a bad experience there. Came to Flagstaff had dinner here and loved it. Fast service, great food, great prices. 5 stars thanks alot !!!!

The only good point is the show, the service is very bad,unfriendly, expensive for what it is! Waste of money, and the food is not good!!!

Scout was a great Hibachi Chef! Shirmp was the groups favorite!

Excellent food & outstanding service. The chefs at the grill put on quite the show as well. We had a very enjoyable evening here.

So fun! our favorites were anything with eel! Amber was a good server and kept us from over ordering... we came in with huge eyes!

That's really a good place for japanse food,today my first time went there,the servers and food show all amazing.

Interesting setting but good sushi. Our server Mariah was awesome, well rolled sushi, nice and tight. Awesome specials with 2 rolls for $14 bucks.

Most of the reviews are for the Hibachi, be warned about the sushi. Its really dangerous. My last two visits I couldn't eat more than a single bite and the whole family got sick. I'm writing this from the toilet as five minutes after the red snapper I had explosive diareha.

It's comparable to grocery store quality -- you will notice they even use the same trays, fake grass, and pink ginger. These are not typical of high quality sushi restaurants.

AVOID!

Ordered carry-out when passing through town, via their website. The additional instructions on our order were not followed, resulting in us throwing away about half the order down the road. Rest of order was ... fine, I guess. Nothing special.

Update: others in our party have informed me that the sushi tasted "off" to them. My personal order was not sushi so I did not realize this when I first wrote the review. Dropped another star for that.

Very good. Super setting, 2 traditional cooking spots on the board. Perfect sushi etc. The staff is top notch. ++++++++

The best Japanese Restaurant in flagstaff, hibachi steak very tasty sushi fresh and service friendly and fast, we will be back definitely!

Terrible food. Anybody that knows sushi, knows it gets a lot fresher (and more creative) than this! Never again will I waste my time or money here.

New owners and better design but not better food. I miss the old good food and sushi!
