Quality food, good atmosphere, good service, reasonable prices. What more is there to want?

The service was outstanding and the food was superb! Socially distanced.

Bay View's best choice for italian fair. The restaurant is very small, so if it's crowded you have to be willing to play human Tetris. Parking in this area is also a hassle. As for the food, I am bias as I happen to live with an Italian/ Sicilian and he is an excellent chef.
So really my house is the best choice for italian fair in the BV, but Tenuta's is still a nice choice.
The bartender is pretty good with craft cocktails.

Last night was my third or fourth visit, but I got smart this time. I took an entire additional entree home with me so I could enjoy it today, in addition to the leftovers of what I didn't eat. In fact, today I've eaten almost exclusively Tenuta's for breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon snack, and soon to be dinner. Don't judge me. I'm carb-loading for my grueling 30 minute commute to work in the morning.

Just a great local Bay View neighborhood Italian restaurant. Hard to go wrong, especially on a warm summers night. The food? It's all good.

Big Italian food in November an old neighborhood bar turned restaurant/bar. Laid-back atmosphereno pressure wait staff is helpful and we'll explain the dishes the dishes are very traditional Italian primarily northern Italiani. Kind of a rainy night in November was just the thing

Great place with fantastic service. The owner is super cool and his staff follows his lead. Enjoy some of the best Italian food you can get in the MKE.

Loved our dinner experience here!! Our bartender was knowledgable about their wine list. Our food was delicious and came in large portions. And, everything is extremely well priced. We can t wait to get back!

This place is amazing!! The atmosphere is warm and romantic. The food is delicious and the staff are always quick and friendly! Make a reservation for the weekends or stick around for bar seating...it's a hidden gem and so worth it!

Have eaten here multiple times as well as carried out on several occasions. Without fail, everything I have tried has been wonderful. Love the thin crust pizza. The Arancini appetizer is delicious. Scallops are great, love the bolognese. Great, knowledgable staff, friendly, efficient. All my dining companions have loved their meals too. Great bar with some interesting cocktails. Highly recommend. Definitely need a reservation.

Tenuta's is a neighborhood Italian Restaurant in Bay View. Their pizzas are fabulous. The Chef puts together Great Nightly Special's. The menu has a lot of wonderful standard items. We have always been very satisfied with the friendly staff, excellent service, wonderful food and seeing the regular neighbors that come to Tenuta's. Nice job to Team Tenuta's!! We had reservations for a Saturday evening in May. It was busy, but not overwhelmingly so. Our server was very kind and knowledgeable. He did a great job checking in on us. I ordered the pomodoro and it was wonderful! Can't wait to go back and try more of their dishes.

Great cocktails, excellent pizza and friendly long term staff create a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere

This is one of my favorite restaurants! The restaurant is tucked away in a neighborhood, so you would never guess that such a great restaurant would be there. They are normally really busy, so I would make sure you make a reservation before stopping in. They have excellent Italian food as well as great pizza. You can bring your family here but it is a better first date kind of place. If I could give it ten stars, I would.

Excellent food and a great small restaurant atmosphere. I have eaten here two times now and both visits have been excellent. The food is scratch made and is creative and tasty. Service is wonderful and the prices are very reasonable.

Wednesdays is $10 off bottles of wine.

Make sure you make a reservation,, even on a weeknight. It can be packed nightly. Parking is on the street and can be a bit challenging.

I was taken off guard at how much I liked this place. While a very unassuming place from the outside of is very cozy and classy on the inside. And the food, oh the food. Some of the best Italian one had in Milwaukee. I had the pasta bologna as a suggestion from the very nice server. It was fantastic. I would definitely return. However skip the cheese plate. Was very underwhelming.

Such a quaint place in a neighborhood and the Moscow Mules are great! Food was great too!
Service excellent

Had a great meal tonight ouside. As desert was served, persons waiting for an inside table were allowed to wait at a table next to us. The cigarette smoke drifted directly over our table....home now, still tasting the smoke instead of the meal. Thanks for a ruined meal.

Our group was treated with great attention throughout our meal. The food was wonderful. Service was excellent. Rail drinks served throughout the meal as needed.

They have the best Arrabbiata around! Staff is amazing, we've always had the best customer service every time we come here. The decorations are interesting and kept clean. Very professional and a casual, relaxing place to be at.

We all know their food is wonderful. What you may not know is that these are kind, smiling folks that serve up their curbside meals with happiness. Can t wait to order again soon!

Carbonera is really good, as is the chicken picatta. Havent had the pizza yet but great red wine selections and poured cocktails. Very yummy and worth the visit.

First timer here!! I wish I had taken a picture of my meal! I had the calabrese and my boyfriend devoured the chicken parmesan. I don't think I have ever ordered calabrese before. For reference, it has quite the kick. Spicy Italian sausage and little peppers throughout. Chicken parm was soo juicy and excellent sauce. Absolutely delicious and perfect dinner date!!

Loved the pizza and atmosphere. Crowded so definitely get reservations. Even the bar was packed.

Pleasant atmosphere and friendly service, enjoyed a meal with family here. Food took a while to come out but it wasn't an issue for us. Everyone at our table had pasta but I did have a few pangs of jealousy looking at the pizzas going to other tables.

Quaint and busy, like a hidden gem of a mom and pop restaurant. Great menu for food and wine/cocktails. Loved it. We usually don't go to the same place twice for our date nights, but we'll be going back here.

Just had the all time WORST birthday celebration of my life at this restaurant. I had a large family gathering of 7 including myself. My family brought a cake to the restaurant with them for my celebration. The server was excellent and very attentive, the food was good. Three people at the table ordered spaghetti, big mistake. All three orders came out in varying portion sizes, one portion looked like a half order of another. It was questioned if the half looking order could get a little more to make it somewhat in line with the other two orders, the answer was no that's the portions size. The person asked that it be sent back and did not want it. Dinner went on and the server cut and served the cake that was brought. Everything else went well and without a hitch. The bill came and there were some charges that we questioned. The General Manager Brendan came over to answer our questions. When this manager approached he already had an attitude and a rude demeanor. There was a "One time event fee" of $15.00 on the bill, which the manager stated was because by bringing our own cake it took away from their bottom line. This fee was nowhere on the menu and was not told to us when we brought the cake into the restaurant. The manager continued to go on and state that we were a terrible table and that the waitress said we badgered her all night. The waitress stated in his presence that she never said anything of the likes. This manager was so aggressive and rude, he reduced me to tears in my own birthday. I will never return to this restaurant. If paid a million dollars I would still not return. This was the worst birthday ever, thank you Tenutas for ruining my day. #nevereatattenutas

I love their thin crust pizza! I usually get their house special pizza but today I was craving a pepperoni and garlic pizza. It hit the spot.

Our server (Steve) was very friendly and overall amazing. Food was also extremely delicious and came out in a very timely manner. I highly recommend!

One of the best , if not the best, Italian Restaurants in the city. Very relaxing but sophisticated atmosphere. Romantic and quiet as well.

The Salmon Risotto was good for the second plating(7/10)
The first plate served was raw and had to be sent back. The Flank Steak special with pear was dry and where was the pear and moisture??. The white beans and sauce were soft on one side of the plate and hard on the other(4/10). Should have sent that plate back also. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! Only thing good was the waiter. He did give me my Tenuta Sling for free.

Nice little Italian place in Bayview. Can get quite crowded in the evenings. Plan ahead! Pizza is of course a staple and the best comfort food as the temps drop.

The food was great. The service was okay. Our waiter didn't engage in a conversation with us or ask us if we had ever been there. Which it was our first time. The resturant was full which is why it isn't a big deal that our waiter didn't engage with us. He kept our drinks refilled which was great. I would come back again. I wish the menu had more options on top of the current menu.

It was good food and great service. I was expecting more from the people I heard talking about it, but it did not disappoint at all.

Great experience! 30 minute wait due to no reservation but I get it with the size of the place. Meal more than made up for it!

If you want to be rushed, this is the place for you. I've never been asked to leave a restaurant before because there was a time limit on a table. I won't be back.

nice little pizza joint. has a bar inside, pizza is ok, atmosphere is more for the bar crowd and is overall small comparatively, if i go here i 'd take pizza to go, too small and crowded during happy hour...

The food was average. The bill was $100 for 3 (1 drink 1 appetizer) what was really upsetting was the service. Our waitress was a flake. I sensed that she was stretched to her limits, too many tables. Unfortunately she didn t have the common sense to slow it down she kept coming to our table and sprinting away I ve had better service at Denny s won t be coming back

Best Italian restaurant in the city of Milwaukee.. Prices are reasonable, food great, excellent atmosphere..! I recommend this place to folks dozens of times a year... Nobody doesn't like Tenutas..!!!

Nice wine/beer selection (including some Italian beers) and cocktail menu (the tiramisu-tini ). Ordered a few apps- bruschetta was good, but arancini was underwhelming. Pastas tasted amazing, had trouble picking from all the great options. Plus friendly service and nice atmosphere!

Favorite neighborhood place to grab a glass of wine for happy hour , date nights. Love the pizza and pasta here ! Great for pick up orders at the bar too !

Had their mushroom ravioli and it was very good. My wife had the flank steak black truffle pasta dish also very good. Prompt and friendly service from our waitress.

Very pleasant seating, with a glorious aroma when we walked in. Immediately greeted and seated.

Amazing service , great atmosphere . I love that this place doesn t blast music or have 15 televisions inside. People were actually talking to each other . The food , also amazing. The Zucca, gnocchi and risotto .... so good. The cannolis are ok, not very sweet but I feel like that s probably the intention . Better believe I ate every bite of them still !
