One of my favorite local restaurants! Top notch service, great menu, and a warm cozy atmosphere. Recommend calling for reservations though, as they don't have many tables

Food was outstanding. Very delicious and flavorful. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Wines were awesome.

As a young couple, this was our go to... Our engagement, first pregnancy, and new jobs were celebrated at Tenutas. We moved out of the neighborhood, but have been back over the years because the atmosphere, drinks, and mostly, food, make it worth the trip.

Their food is ok but definitely not authentic Italian. I ordered gnocchi which was very chewy and had no flavor. My daughter ordered Bolognese which tasted more like a vodka sauce. Had asked for bread which never came.

Nice, soft atmosphere. Tenuta's was full, but we could still carry on a conversation. Hostess and servers could not have been nicer. Prices are very reasonable, and the food is great.

Food is always great, and a good place for a not so quiet date.

As Fall arrives, they have added Zucca back on the menu. A savory butternut squash ravioli in a light brown butter sauce topped with krispy kale - an absolute must try for the season! Delizioso!!!

Amazing food, super friendly staff, huge selection of amazing wine, and an excellent atmosphere! We will definitely come here every time we are in the area. The ravioli was to die for! Only down side..... Make a reservation for a table otherwise you can sit at the bar. AMAZING!!!!!

Cute little place with a great atmosphere and food! Service was excellent! Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Our table ordered bruschetta and calamari to start and both were very good. I kept it simple with spaghetti and meatballs and it definitely hit the spot! For dessert I split a HUGE piece of the tiramisu with a friend and it was to die for!! Great place, highly recommend!!

The wait staff was awesome! The food was spectacular! Great experience.

The bartender and hostess seems wonderful but the crowd or people who go there are a bit different. Everyone stared at me uncomfortably the whole time.

It's small and cozy, the appetizers were generous, the salad was of a quality green and the entree was delicious. Pleasant experience while visiting Milwaukee and it's near Port South Side (Bayview)

Authentic Italian food. A quaint little restaurant nestled in a Southside neighborhood. Wonderful ambiance and absolutely delicious Italian food. This is the kind of place Tony Soprano would go to!! Salute!

Cute, slightly upscale, Italian restaurant that is a great choice in a neighborhood full of great restaurants! We ve tried most of their menu and it s always been delicious, including their pastas and sauces, good drinks, and excellent service. We ve been here many, many times over the years. Tough to get in without a reservation on weekend nights.

Great food and I recommend the pizza not a fan the first time I went but went last week and it was awesome and was a lot faster then previous visits keep up the great work.

Great food. Hostess not so great. Had 5 o clock reservations no one in the place tried to seat us at a crappy table. Really! I believe it was because we are an older couple. We're older not senile.

Tenuta's is this incredible neighborhood gem. One of those places that you fear publicizing too much because it's kind of your little secret. They have incredible Italian food that is all homemade. Their pastas are great, their pizzas are great, even the salad dressings are unique and homemade. There's always a unique and delicious special. Eat outside, if you can!

We got takeout just now and everything was phenomenal but when I unpacked the eggplant parm that I was really excited about, it was 80% spaghetti and I cried a little. It tasted fine but was not what I expected, the eggplant was kinda like a log and there were just 4 small pieces of it and they were super firm

I stopped in Tenuta's for the first time while I was in Milwaukee traveling on business. Outstanding food, terrific service, great atmosphere. Old world, authentic Italian cuisine. Cozy. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.

I have the garlic clam pizza and it was good . I ate it 2 hours later and it was still good . Good choice and good food.

So fantastic. My wife is from the Chi and I'm so sick of her complaining about no real deep dish pizza up here. Well my friends, those days are ovah! Great atmosphere, great food, great prices, parking and location are my only real beef but if you want an authentic itallian meal or a deep dish that save you on time, gas, and tolls...this is your place

I love tenutas, will regularly drive about 45 minutes to get there. You do have to make a reservation for any prime hours but the limited seating does make it a nice atmosphere. I generally go with the chicken parmesan but anything they have is great.

Always a good experience here! Right amount of ambiance and a cozy atmosphere. When ordering pasta, I always get the bolagnese. Pizza though, the Diavola is the way to go. Who knew cream cheese belonged on pizza. It does!

Most close to authentic Italian food I ve had in America so far. I m from Italy so I could judge good and I can give my genuine opinion. I ordered antipasti and some carbonara which was delicious and divine. The place is however a little pricy but the food is definitely worth the money in my view!

Food is not what it used to be and the service from our incompetent waiter was a major disappointment. We were continuously pushed to order and yet we needed to ask after each course to get the table cleared. Such a shame in what was one of our favorite spots. Will not be going back anytime soon.

Fantastic! My husband has been walking there every night since we got into town to get us cannoli for dessert since it's across the street from our Air b&b. So tonight we decided to eat dinner there. Obviously the cannoli is fantastic. I ordered the Capesante and my husband had the bistecca. Both were phenomenal as was the service! Our waitress made great recommendations. Their Caesar salad is also nice, they use a deep green romaine. Tonight we tried the tiramisu for dessert and would highly recommend that too.

Great semi-fancy Italian place with a good wine selection. I had a great entre with some fafa beans and a nice Chianti.

Though I've only had the pizza from here when I go inside the service is prompt and quick.... People are friendly too and the smell is always scrupulous

Was able to make reservations easily. Got to sit at the bar and have some wine. Stuffed Crust and some red sauce for dipping the Stuffed Crust . Very good service. I will be returning.

Don't even bother thinking about what to order. Just get the Ravioli Funghi; you will thank me if you do. It is SPECTACULAR! Every time I bring a new person to this place, I suggest the ravioli, and they choose something else. I let them try mine, and even though they rave about what they got, they agree that should have gotten what I had.

I love the bread basket that is brought out before the meal because it is warm, and there are different kinds of breads to choose from.

Last night was my first time at Tenuta's. I enjoyed a glass of wine and one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time! I HIGHLY recommend getting the House Special pizza. Service was prompt and friendly. Will absolutely be back!!!

Went here for my birthday and it was great. It's a bit small but very cozy and has a great atmosphere. Our waiter was very attentive and pleasant. The drinks were made well and quickly. And most importantly the food was amazing. Their pasta is far superior to pretty much any other restaurant pasta I've ever had. Definitely will be back to try more of the menu!

One of the pinnacle restaurants of Bay View. This place has the very rare abilities to make you feel like you're both in the comfort of your home and also out celebrating at the same time. Highly recommend for special nights, first dates, or a casual Monday where you and your loved one want a good bite to eat with some good neighborhood convo.

Make a reservation. This is almost required if you want to be seated any night of the week. Bring your family and friends if you plan to order a big, meaty pizza because you are going to get a lot and it's best enjoyed fresh. Have them bring you a Tenuta's sling because their cocktail game is as on point as their food.

There aren t a lot of places with excellent GF options, but Teunata s was outstanding.

Food was good but Portion size too small.. a large pizza was barely enough for my wife and I. $ 9 for 4 tiny mozzarella Frittas. Plan on single size for whatever you order.I should have read more reviews.

We had a party but couldn't fit our entire extended family in our home, so Tenuta's hosted our group of 40+ for lunch. The food was fantastic ~ we arrived to a table full of appetizers: bruschetta, fruit, cut veggies, mozzarella and an open bar. We had a seated lunch with a small but diverse menu - our guests are still talking about how great the food was. They were able to deliciously accommodate our vegan friends. Our party had a ton of kids and the pizza was a huge hit with them. Service was great, very prompt and friendly! Overall wonderful experience!

Food is excellent I would recommend this place to anybody that loves Italian food. You need to make reservation but that is fine it is worth it. I can not wait to try everything on the menu. Reasonably priced.

real deal Italian! Everything is homemade! Nothing processed or frozen! Morgan and Brandon are the best!!!
