Great location along the cliffside however the wine tasting experience is disappointing. They charge you for everything, even water. They don t recycle, we took the bottle to the staff asking for the recycle and they said they do recycle at the property. Tried the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, it wasn t great. It doesn t seem like the staff know much about wine.
Stunning setting with really nice rooms and a ton of yurts (never stayed in or been in one though) with a lovely pool, vineyards, and a winery on site. The wine is okay, and the restaurants is so-so. The setting makes up for it all. You can also walk into shows at the Gorge if you stay here.
Beautiful resort with amazing views, and great service. A true pleasure to be there.
I was not expecting the Roar And Pour festival when I went, but everyone das friendly and the staff did a great job at making us feel right at home.
Having our wedding at Cave B in September its absolutely gorgeous and staff is very friendly and helpful
I planned my meal in advance and was so excited to have their ribeye. We booked reservations and when we arrived we were informed that they were out of ribeye. A location that is known for their steak should have plenty of it. I will never be back and I highly recommend everyone else choose another location. I reserved this placed 6 months in advance and look what I got!
Great stay, friendly and helpful staff great food, great pool, and amazing yurt experience.
Great food and drinks, also great for listening to the shows at the Gorge
Stunning view, excellent restaurant and very nice staff
Underwhelming, [way] Over-Priced, Poorly Managed
I understand Cave B is under new management, which could explain the recent spate of low ratings. Beware.
I rented a yurt for my parents, last weekend. In retrospect, I paid about four times (4x) what I would pay to stay there again. My parents checked in on a hot afternoon in August, hoping to take their granddaughters for a swim. Maddeningly, they were informed that the pool was closed, for a private event. The front desk was unable to tell me if and when the pool and other amenities might be open or closed during the rest of the weekend.
Set your expectations low and only stay at this place if money is no object and you'll only be there for a night before or after a sweaty day at the Gorge or rock climbing at Frenchmen's Coulee.
Stayed three nights in a yurt. Super rimantic and all the best bits of camping. Food was suberb. There are no real grocery stores near by. Stock up on the essentials. Wine was ok they didnt give a free tasting if you were staying thought that was weird.
Stayed at one of the yurts. Felt like a motel instead of a resort. Went there for a wedding. There was a big bug between the sheets, right in middle of the bed. They must have made the bed with the bug there. Very pricy for why you get. I paid $200 for 1 night. I would not recommend staying at yurts.
Great food, great wine, great view. You can't go wrong with Cave B! Seriously take the time to hike down to the trail a ways at sunset after dinner too!
Beautiful views and the estate grounds are gorgeous covered in great Vines. The rooms are nice and separated from each other. the restaurant is excellent, though very high end.
The people who gave one star are crazy. We stayed here on business and even though they were not used to people on business they took care of us. Staff was amazingly friendly and professional. They set out food for us because we were leaving so early and always had answers to our questions. Place was so clean and relaxing. The food was expensive but besides that the place exceeded all expectations.
After writing a 1 star review, I did get contacted by someone from the 3rd party vendor that is handling the reservations from the wait list. Hopefully it works out. My wife and I do however like to stop here for breakfast on our way through, and the staff is really nice.
beautiful spot. for the price of one night in a yurt, I expected a couple more amenities like nightstands and at least one more throw rug on the concrete floor. Dinner was ok, our medium rare steak was very well done on both ends. however it was a peaceful stop and I'm glad we went.
Service and rooms were great. Beautiful view and the pool area is perfect. Will definitely be back
Quiet and relaxing, food was amazing as well. Just be prepared to spend a little $$ but you definitely get what you pay for
Wonderful setting with panoramic vistas. The inn has new owners that will improve what needs to be do ne.Great restaurant
After all the recommendations, I was disappointed. There is a definite lack of attention to detail. When we walked into the lobby, the first thing you notice is stained sofas. Folks are strongly encouraged to visit the wine tasting while your room is getting ready. We enjoyed the wine, however, we never received the promised call when our room was ready. There were beetles, ants in the bathroom. A glass of something was left on the mantle. The remote did not work for the tv. The scenery is beautiful, and the spa was a pleasant experience. All in all, it is time to replace furniture, update the cliff houses, and provide more than one bath towel per person. It is a peaceful location, but .....
Although my purpose for visiting Cave B was to use their access to great hiking and mountain biking trails along the Columbia Gorge, I was struck by the impressive establishment intermingling with vineyards. Buildings include basalt rock in their original architectural design. Bungalows of various designs perch on cliff edges that command amazing views of the Columbia Gorge. I particularly like the unit called The Caverns. The staff at the visitor center welcomed us and made our visit as easy as possible. Now that I see what they have, a weekend getaway there beckons.
Beautiful place. Great spot for relaxation/spa or a great respite from the Gorge Ampitheater during a concert weekend.
What a magical location. And every wine we tasted was so enjoyable. Joined the wine club and already planning to go back in September.
Staying in the yurt was one of my most memorable night ever in a resort. So comfy and warm while sleep underneath the sky
Incredible, friendly, helpful staff. This place is absolutely beautiful. The Cavern Rooms are amazing with an unbelievable view of the river, lovely balcony, and deep soaking tub. The hike down to the river is well worth it. I came in early May and the wild flowers were in full bloom. It's so quiet, all you hear are the bird's songs. Tendrils, the restaurant, serves wonderful, delicious food.
I frequent the restaurant here regularly whenever we have guests in town. The location has great views and the architecture is lovely. The food is great although some dishes do seem rather pricey. The staff is very courteous at the restaurant. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the staff at the inn or those facilities because I have never been.
Beautiful rentals with gorgeous views. Would definitely stay again!
My friends and I stayed in a Yurt. It was a good experience! The winery was nice too. Beautiful views.
Stay has been great! Beautiful views, wine, good food. Appreciate the dog friendliness!
Wish they had a bigger menu but what we ordered was awesome very very good, spider steak , Great starters and desserts .and great service
Beautiful views! The rooms are big and luxurious. Good wine too.
Trails to the units were covered with a lot of snow. Dangerous when walking down stairs. Units lacking dressers for clothes. Showers did not have bar soap, only body wash.
The location was wonderful, beautiful views! I loved the driveway entrance into the inn, lined with grape plants all the way in. The service was good. The "continental breakfast" was lacking but nice. The only thing is when I looked up the hours for their tasting room, it was listed that they closed at 7pm but when I arrived at 530pm they had just closed. I made dinner reservations at 730 and decided to ask if they could accommodate us earlier because of our wine tasting fail and they did which was nice of them. Their restaurant had good food, wine, and dessert. Our server was very attentive, knowledgable, and overall great considering how busy he was. They had games and movies you could rent which was pretty cool. I would recommend staying here and experiencing all the inn and spa has to offer.
Beautiful location, a little expensive but good experience.
Above and beyond! Cave B goes above beyond; beautiful setting, incredible service, tantalizing Tendrils, well made wine, and last but not least, a heavenly spa. An Aveda facial by Eve feels like Eden, followed by delicious lunch overlooking the Ancient Lakes beauty. The architecture is incredible...do yourself a favor and stay awhile.
The yurts are cool but bugs can get in. Lots of sand/dirt everywhere. Scenary is beautiful.
Brunch, that's all you need to know.
Yes, the views are amazing, the food is excellent and the location is either in the middle of nowhere or right next to everything - depending on the time of year - but drop in for weekend brunch and you will leave a happier person.
Its a stunning view but usually very windy. The food is locally sourced (mostly) and elegant. Expect to have a big budget to stay here.
We had our wedding here and we could not be happier. The food is amazing. The wine is fantastic, the service second to none we cannot recommend this place enough.
I've been to Cave B numerous times and I absolutely love it!
Stayed three night in one of thier yurts. Love it, ask for number 53-55. They are a bit on thier own and have the best view. Hiking trails that leave from the property help you work off the great food and the wine.
Horrible. Stay very far away. Filthy rooms with old furniture. Dead mouse on our patio, awful check in experience, no amenities. Seriously, none.
Food and service at the restaurant was laughably bad.
Prices suggest a four star experience but I've had better stays in dingy motels. This is legitimately the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel.
We got an email from the resort fives days before our stay saying that the restaurant will be closed during our stay. This would definitely negatively impact our experience so we wanted to cancel our reservation. Their normal cancellation policy is no refund if you cancel within 7 days of your stay. But during this difficult time, they were generously enough to give us full refund. We canceled our reservation two hours before the check-in time (yes we cancelled it on the same day as our stay and got full refund). That is being said, their customer service is great! We will definitely come and visit again once things get back to normal.
Went here recently as i was visiting family in the Grant County area, This place caught my eye from good reviews on other websites. Sadly the experience wasn't so great, the room was super disgusting! Their were what appeared to be blood stains on the sheets, Clearly they hadn't been changed. The Shower also had hair in it! Don't know if this is usual for them, but my stay was not pleasant at all.
well located and beautifully designed and decorated. It has a tranquil feel and the photos do not really capture how gorgeous this place is. Friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Really beautiful. Stayed in the yerts and it was cool. Amazing wedding venue.
The meal quality is high. Chefs showing their quality and pride of work though their dishes. Cost reflects on the the spectacular view and excquisit ambance you have while dining. The entire staff is well humored and caring. Defiantly worth the trip.
Great view and very nice staff. Highly recommend the spa. Amazing experience. Right next to the amplitheater so if there's a concert that you want to go to it's very easy access. Plus you can hear the music from the property.
Trails, wine, and good food. What more could you want?
Exceptional food and accommodations. We will definitely be returning.
Inn was beautiful. Absolutely amazing but disappointed in the restaurant (and it's your really only option for food). Steak was way over seasoned and not tender. I'd give the Inn five stars but the restaurant only two stars.
Love this place. 3 years in a row for Watershed Festival. Moises, the bartender, exemplified the definition of outstanding customer service. Promote that man to train all others.
I used to work for cave B it's a lovely place nice to relax:) love all the crew that works there all nice ppl.
The restaurant is worthless and a total waste of money. They over cooked my steak and when I sent it back the server said I guess you want that medium rare instead of medium- no I want it medium not well done. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told she would give me the managers number and I can call in the morning.... um no thanks it needs to be fixed before I leave. What kind of place doesn t have a manager on duty. Complete armatures. Spend your money at an establishment that appreciates your business!
My 3rd stay at Cave B.
Positive: view is great as always.
Not as great: pool and spa are closed due to covid-19 but there is still a resort fee. Asked front desk and was told it covers hand sanitizer provided at the lobby (shared, not individual bottles for guests). so $15 per night for two pumps of hand sanitizer, one for check-in and one for check-out.
Amazing views, great get away, food pretty good , disappointing tasting room and spa.
Need to update beds but room was well done with amazing views.
Wine tasting room was dark, not a good atmosphere... walked in and out ... sad as they have good wine
Spa was good ... just average ... staff was rushing and didn t allow it to be relaxing
Food was pretty good, good service
It's Christmastime 2018 and my wife and I agreed not to make this year a big deal of sharing presents, my wife however rewarded my hard year of work with a stay at Cave B Inn in Quincy, WA for a one hour massage, some wine, some dinner and a very quiet evening in the high desert of Washington only an hour and a half from our home.
Let me tell you, late December after some snowfall on a somewhat clear yet chilly day overlooking the Columbia River I was transfixed. The beauty of silence of this place is breathtaking. The outrageous architecture of the facility is modern, stylish and blends into the high desert theme beautifully. The sense of peace and quiet I experienced at the spa was super, and the service was impeccable
I have to warn you, this is a place to get centered, not a place for entertainment. If you dig looking out on an open landscape with snow, desert brush, a slow moving river at 2500 feet you will love this place.
The rooms are lovely, as are the beds, Fireplace and Bathrooms. The rooms however make no provision for cooking-warming or storing meals, you have the restaurant nearby for that, but no market of any kind nearby. This might be my only negative but I completely understand the esthetic of not having these conveniences.
The onsite restaurant is nice, the food more than acceptable and the service when we visited was exceptional.
One important note, I'd suggest this location for springtime, autumn or early winter, not when it's hot during summer. The facility closes down just prior to Christmas until March, so book intelligently and carefully and you will be handsomely rewarded.
If you must, bring a good book and a CD/Music player. If you want to snack in your room bring snacks, if you want to relax and find your Chi... bring a mat, a warm blanket and some incense, CaveB will provide everything else with delicate care and respect.
Great place to stay! We stayed in the cliff house and had wonderful views! The food is amazing too!
