The "Theatre of Phoenix" interior is just stunning. Hard to say there's a lot to see other than that. But if you are lucky (like us), you may run into their rehearsal day. The ticket will be more expensive during their rehearsal (12 euros), but it is an unique experience to see an Italian opera inside Venice oldest opera house. They have English caption above the stage! No photos though.

Great theater with awesome detail everywhere you go. We liked that the stage rotated with multiple sets at once so they could streamline the opera more than usual. The only gripe was any drinks purchased had the be finished in the bar, so you had to rush to get back to your seats after intermission. I would love to see more shows here.

The Gran Teatro La Fenice has been completely rebuilt as it was after the dramatic fire that had completely destroyed it. It was really a great experience to have participated as a spectator in many performances between ballets, concerts and more. For those who could not book a ticket for a show, you can still visit the theater on set days and times.

A very beautiful place. We were on an excursion and got to prepare for the show. There is an audio guide in 7 languages (including Russian). The audio guide is interesting, an hour passed with it like 10 minutes. There is a bookstore / gift shop.

Wonder of wonders, in neoclassical style facade and foyer, rebuilt in Baroque style (as it was, where it was) after the last nefarious fire of 1996. It is a spectacle even just the theater, with its typical pastel colors of the '700. .without DOUBT the visit

The most unique opera house in the world. One may arrive by a gondola! If you are in Venice, the historic La Fenice is a must. Tickets which are reasonably priced, are easy to buy right outside the train station, with English speakers. Also, around the Opera house is an amazing restaurant that is fitted out like a outdoors living room..cozy armchairs etc. Very very unique. Great ambiance and great service. If you go to the restaurant before an opera, you can hear the singers warm-up!

La Fenice remains unique, intimate and welcoming but at the same time imposing; the interiors are classy and elegant; the ideal would be to explore it and attend an opera, but if it is not possible, even a quick visit is worth it.

Beautiful working theatre that cleverly offers tours in the day. The audioguide was very helpful to learn about the history of this Phoenix that has risen from the ashes several times since it was built. Beautiful inside and with lots to see, definitely worth the entry ticket. Plus great for a rainy day of to get away from the heat with a little cafe upstairs and toilets.

As a Venetian I am proud that in my beautiful city there is a gem of this kind. The theater is not huge but it is incredibly welcoming and opulent. A show at the Fenice is an experience everyone should try.

Fantastic theater. It was enough to see the entrance to amaze me, it appeared at first luxurious and absolutely elegant .. excellent welcome of course, young and "fresh" staff. You have to see it live to realize the splendor of this beautiful theater with these chandeliers of " crystal "bellissimi.Tutto exceeded my expectations 5 stars well deserved for the cleanliness of the place

Awesome place, really interesting but I hate the fact that they charge you extra just to be able to take photos inside of the theater, either way there was no one watching while I was there so we took the photos :)

Legendary the theater, which is named after the "phoenix from the ashes"; justified by the tragic story (see Wikipedia)
Very easy to reach on foot in 7-8 minutes from the market square.
Anyone who loves opera will find tickets left at the box office at VERY discounted prices before the performance starts. * You can even trade the cashier over the price, if the show is imminent.
