Imposing, I gave myself the pleasure of knowing him, I recommend if you do not want to pay a lot, go from the fourth floor, sit down and if you are first row, much better. Take out standing pots, for those who have more than 1.80, we touch the head with the roof, in the photos you can see that it can be appreciated, a little more ventilation in summer, it would not come badly.
Also, I recommend your visit

The biggest in the world. A wonder in the heart of Buenos Aires. An Age of Empires-type wonder. Those that make you win the game. And it is at the level of any European architecture. It is more, it is better. Better

The theater is beautiful, but I did not like the fact that they sell tickets to the top far above the amount of people who fit the venue. You are in a position that cannot see more than half of the stage. It would be much better to sell just the right amount instead of letting people down like that.

The place obviously is an absolute must in Buenos Aires either you like opera or not you have to see it. With one of the best acoustics, el Teatro Colon is a jewel worth visiting. Just make sure to pay the extra price to get a good located balcony or platea, otherwise you might be frustrated. The seats up in the higher tiers might be uncomfortable especially if are you are tall. Did I say excellent acoustics! Don t miss it!

Enjoyed first class opening night of resident Orquesta Filarmonica and Chorus. This historic hall is a Must See, so is their 2 hour English Tour (cost about us$20 or ar$800). Guide related the most amazing love story that started here-- brought tears to my eyes! Hint: There's dozens of marked entrances around 4 sides of The Colon: find your ONE door address ahead of time; we almost missed the curtain, NOT UNDERSTANDING SPANISH, and my handicapped wife & I took over 25 minutes traversing ALL FOUR STREETS, before arriving at a front address, only to be ushered to an elevator in The BACK, which we had passed 15 minutes earlier. That manager read our tickets, and gave us Not Only the wrong floor (as we heard the Concert Meister tuning up and director Diemecke being applauded to the podium), but our box was way on the other side of the hall. So ushers had the fun of watching us octogenarians do a fifty yard dash in formal evening attire. That ordeal truly unraveled our composure, since for a minute I thought I'd be calling a medic! We later discovered there was an elevator DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF our box, had we made inquiries ahead of time AND KNEW SPANISH.

I was in the back, on the square, I could see the great movement that attracts the theater, the people who attend dress for the occasion and also There were several presentations, since in all its entrances There were rows of people waiting for their functions .
Architecturally it is beautiful, an eclectic style well maintained, neat and located in an area where all buildings assemble a charming space. Many tourists visit it, gps and selfies are heard throughout the area.
They should finish the municipal works that are working to improve it, because they continue for many years.

It is a beautiful theater. They should take better care of the vision of the elderly and people with reduced mobility. This is: being able to make changes to the locations if there are problems enjoying the show
