Would give it 10 stars if I could. Delicious. Raclette is so good, unique cheese bites-we went back for seconds and thirds. Also enjoy a glass of wine or beer. Relaxed casual environment. So glad we stumbled upon this place our first night in town. We will be back!
Super tasty sandwich - and even the salad with it was yummy. It s rare to find food made with ingredients of this obvious quality in restaurants in the US. Definitely would return. Excellent.

A nice place for happy hour. We grabbed a cheese plate and some wine. Nice little spread for the money and it was all delicious. My only complaint is that we had to rush and never made it back again.
Super good avocado toast. Even the salad was so good in the small amount of shaved cheese they used. Orange juice was freshly squeezed. Attention was surprisingly paid to the details in the food for this fast casual place. Clean and modern decoration with nice street view.

What an amazing little place! We stay right around the corner and finally tried this place after multiple walk bys. It can get busy for lunch, but WOW on the quality of food. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the neighborhood.
Perfect place to sit and chat with friends. Got the cheese board. And I ordered a dark chocolate raspberry cheese. The ladies really enjoyed it
Great food! Try their Muffuletta sandwich! One of the best muffulettas my wife and I tried in NOLA. Also, my wife usually hates blue cheese, and the helpful employees found a few blue cheeses which she loved. Overall, a great cheese shop and restaurant!

The Macaroni and Cheese was the best macaroni and cheese I have ever had the pleasure of eating. The rest of my group had sandwiches which were equally awesome.
Try the bread pudding. It has goat cheese and it's sooo good. I don't even usually like goat cheese, but it blended well with the sweetness of the bread. Their salads are also really good, with an interesting blend of sweet (berries, fig spreads, etc) and various cheeses.

We enjoyed a two delicious sandwiches for lunch. Later, one of the kind ladies in the shop took the time to help us to pick out several cheeses. She took the time to explain the differences between each cheese and had us taste each one so that we could pick out just the right cheeses for us. We will definitely stop in again on our next trip to New Orleans.
Reallly clean and nice. The staff is helpful and polite. Prices for food are surprisingly cheap, the beverages are expensive. The salads are big and tasteful. Sandwiches a bit tasteless. Mac n cheese is good, not great. A bit cold inside. But overall a positive experience.

Visited for Happy Hour, 4 of us enjoyed wine & a cheese board. Madi provided friendly, efficient service, she was an absolute pleasure! Cheeses we delicious, the blue was the creameast I've ever had, yum! There is a wide variety of cheese, some meats, chocolates & other delites to purchase. We will definately be back again this week!
Best cheese in the city. Location is brand new and beautifully done. You can't beat St James if you're looking for some fantastic cheese and great wine.

Had the blueberry salad and it was fantastic. The cheese was sharp but creamy, and it had a lot of great textures scattered throughout.
A bit pricey but its close to work and has some really good, fresh sandwiches. There's also, unsurprisingly, a good selection of cheeses and cheese board accessories. The portions are fairly generous so unless you're starving you're likely to leave with a little bit of food leftover.
We split a cheese plate and salad, then took a sandwich to-go. Everything was fantastic. My only complaint is that the cheese plate could have used a few crackers or something to go with the bread.

Great food (grilled cheese Gouda is my favorite). And while the staff at the counter is perfectly nice, I really dislike the trend of ordering first and then scrambling to find a seat.

I can not rave enough about this place! Sure it's a little pricy, but the food is phenomenal! I can not rave enough about just how good everything tasted. If you like cheese, this is a must to visit. If you *love* cheese, then you're doing yourself a personal favor to come here.
St James Cheese is a great place to get a delicious and unique bite to eat plus take home your favorite cheese or try a new one. Their staff is friendly and well informed about their extensive selection of cheeses.
A nice and very knowledgeable young man waited on us. The place was packed, but he gave us all the time we needed. We didn't feel rushed at all. We tasted several cheeses -- and bought lots of wonderful cheeses. It was a great experience.
We watched as beautiful plates came out of the kitchen for folks eating lunch. Can't wait to go back and eat there!

Excellent staff. The meat and cheese plate and the wine were excellent. The music was a little loud but not so loud that it detracted from the experience. We will be back.
Update --- we went back and the music was not as loud. The wine list improved, which was no small accomplishment. This is a wonderful place for a relaxing meal.
The mac&chesse was yummy and the salad portion was really big!
We got the $10 cheese board. It was so good. Every cheese was a winner, the figs were delicious, and so were the candied pecans. Also, the jam was amazing and the wine was crisp and refreshing. Four people, so we ended up getting a second cheese plate of all different cheeses and different bread. It was awesome. Fun atmosphere too, you should go here. I will be back.

I would consider this more of a lunch restaurant than a dinner place but is good for a quick casual meal whenever you are in the mood.
Staff were friendly and food was good. Unlike many restaurants I visited, this one was clean and spacious. One of the better places I had for lunch in the city.
