This is THE place is you want good quality chocolate. Take a look at the people who rated this place bad, they're idiots who don't like quality really tastes like, and for some reason didn't listen to the tour. I had a very basic idea on how chocolate was made before I went in and these guys really helped nail everything down to solidify how they produce chocolate from the tree all the way to the wrapper, very intelligent and awesome practices that they employ in the chocolate production. If you want junk chocolate buy the Hershey's garbage sugar junk; Taza is by far the best most authentic real chocolate producer and should be recognized for not only their merits but high quality of delicious treats.

Two of us did this tour today and would highly recommend it. It is more than value for the money and it s very informative. Samples were endless. Remember that this chocolate is dark chocolate that is stone ground. It s therefore not your typical sugar-laced milk chocolate that you get in the candy aisle. My favourites (and the least dark chocolately-tasting) are raspberry crunch and toffee almond with sea salt. Definitely did not like the maple one at all, though. Whole tour presentation was 1 hour and 15 minutes. I appreciate that Taza is organic and fair trade.

I am very hooked on this hot chocolate now. I feel like it s one of those things that you either love or hate - it differs from other hot chocolates by having a rougher texture that feels sandy rather than creamy. It s hard to explain, kind of like white vs brown rice, or white vs whole grain bread, etc.. My favorite ended up being guajillo chili which was a surprising discovery because I ve never really liked or understood spicy chocolate, but it fits so well with this texture.

The factory location is inviting and interesting. Our tour guide was obviously excited about the product and it was really fun to see how it's made. The chocolate is unique and delicious. Highly recommended!
