The service provided by Tax Solvers was average. They were able to help me file my taxes accurately and on time. However, their customer service could have been better. Overall, an okay experience.

They advertise their tax preparation service to be $49 but they tried to charge me and my husband $270.
They claimed we had too much paperwork.
Apparently too much paperwork is two sets of W2 forms, two sets of health insurance records and two sets of 401K forms from me because I switched jobs last year. My husband just had a W2.
They neglected to say anything until after they processed all of the information. They decided to lower the price to $250 which is STILL over twice the price they advertise.
The woman kept saying there was too much paperwork after it was processed. Apparently it never occurred to her to mention anything beforehand when she received the documents.
