Beautiful, full of beautifully preserved pieces. And completely free ..
Very beautiful. Exposed planes that trace the entire history of aeronautics, from the time of the Wright brothers to the present day. Fascinating to see how the man flew by. For math and computer science lovers: an Enigma machine used during World War II to encrypt and decrypt messages. Most modern aircraft hangars currently under renovation. Free access.
The history of the Air Force in a well-kept museum. Many vehicles on display, from the dawn of aviation to the most modern aircraft. Free entry
Beautiful museum with many planes from various eras. Uncrowded, perfect for children
Immaculately presented aircraft, and no entrance fee!
I arrived there by chance, I didn't know it existed, at the entrance the first surprise: IT'S FREE. I was thinking of a small museum, but it's huge, divided by epochs, from the pioneers of flight to the present day, with an infinite number of fantastic aircraft. Everything is well explained on display boards all over the world, and many screens continuously show movies and vintage photos. In short, a marvel !!!!
Very large and very interesting. There are also several video stations
Beautiful is absolutely worth visiting very interesting from the historical point of view. I advise
Beautiful museum, a real thrill to visit it and see all that WWII aircraft. and then to the present day. in addition many objects of the time and historical medals. in short, a great place to touch and see history up close much more than recommended ...
It is advisable to book a guided tour. Our Cicero entertained us for over two hours with anecdotes, trivia and stories of our history. A trip to the country's history, in large engineering innovations and the testimony of the great heroes who have dealt with uncommon courage air. The presence of only aircraft in the world, restored with passion, makes this museum a beautiful destination to visit.
More than recommend to do absolutely against very verifiet schedules.
Beautiful suitable for all families impeccable military personnel the little one joked with one of them ..... Superb
Impressive, magnificent, reccommand to all aircraft enthusiasts :)
The museum is set up very well, there are several warehouses all connected to each other and you go from the first wooden planes to the more recent Tornadoes.
The entrance and 'free, the air force staff and' very friendly and helpful. It overlooks the lake directly, so you can also enjoy a beautiful view.
It is almost always open, even on Sundays, to consult on the Air Force website for summer / winter timetables. Highly recommended for all ages especially for the little ones.
I expected a very simple and approximate thing instead I just have to make big compliments to all those who have done, who do and who will do for this place that represents the best that Italian can do. Great
Wonderful collection of military aircraft from different eras. Well maintained and very interesting
Nice ... I'm amazed to see those beasts that once flew ... free entry ...
Interesting place even for those who are not fond of planes
From the first flying cars to jets, the history of flight. Uniforms, men, history. Very, very interesting. Well maintained and we hope that other aircraft will also arrive to implement this fantastic collection.
The guided tour is very thorough, the place is cold in autumn-winter, but it is enough to perspire. Museum full of history, recommended.
Moderate prices and good food at the bar-trattoria.
All very kind and helpful.
For those who love planes and their history: go there
Fantastic and must see aviation collection. Train ride from Rome is 1:30 minutes and cost 3.6 each way. Hours vary so check the website. Displays and information boards are in English language also. Great lighting for photography, but some aircraft are crammed together due to restoration work on hanger #4. Some aircraft are temporarily displayed outside. True bucket-list museum for all aviation and history enthusiast. Many one of a kind and rare aircraft.
Museum of historical and cultural value.
Tip: bring your children
Sunday 14 June, arrived in front of the museum gate, during opening hours, all closed. A sheet of paper indicates to call a phone number to get information on the entrance, a soldier replies that the museum will open after the summer due to work in progress. No information on the site or on site.
Wonderful tour, friendly and efficient staff, to visit ALL !! And here the story :)
Interesting and well-kept museum from the Air Force shows the history until you have our own days parking inside and it's free
Great educational trip you might take with your kids to know more about ware craft history. The staff are nice and there are no entry fees.
The history of Italian aeronautics ... you see and feel with a guided tour if possible ....
Very interesting museum, big and full of history. Surrounded by greenery and on the lake it really becomes a nice walk. Only foresight: there is nothing around for miles.
Excellent display of Italian Air Force vehicles, organized by type. Free entry does not do justice to the beauty of the place. Absolutely recommended.
An incredibly magical place full of history not to be missed
Wonderful, so much material preserved in a magical place
Cool place and great exhibition. Unfortunately a bit neglected.
Nice and free entry. In hangars it can be very hot in summer.
Passion lives here.
Vigna di Valle is a magical place to visit absolutely.
Italy was a pioneer in aeronautics, the I in front of the brands (the "plate" of airplanes) is not accidental, there are very few countries that can boast their initials as the first digit. Unfortunately, the history of those years has strongly characterized this sector, penalizing it, together with all the related industrial activities connected to it. Those who work or collaborate with the Museum should be thanked and honored for being able to keep alive, with very few resources and a lot of love, a past as illustrious as our aeronautical history. And maybe one day we will be able to make it clear that our passion is not black, nor red, nor white, and has nothing to do with politics.
If it must have a color, blue like the sky of Italy.
An excellent aviation museum familiarizes you with Italian aviation and equipment. Especially in the 1920s and 1930s, the "Macchit" has been brought to the fore.
Exceptional care. Excellent arrangement of the finds. Content quality
Well maintained, a collection of rare wealth. The restoration of some aircraft is exceptional
Wonderful museum very kind and extremely trained staff. Free admission so it is a must to stop at the Gift shop and buy at least one of the beautiful books they have. The museum shows extensively how up to 1930 Italian Aeronautical engineering was absolutely avant-garde. Unfortunately in the following years we have lost this record but progressively we are carving out an important place on the international chessboard.
Very beautiful and full of unique objects. It is worth a visit with a guide.
Lots of planes and interesting explanations on the evolution of powered flight, especially military, but also civil
A very interesting place, well maintained and a really interesting exhibition of aircraft
Very interesting, it is worth spending a few hours for the visit
Very interesting museum, well kept and which enjoys an excellent location on the shore of Lake Bracciano. It houses aircraft of exceptional historical value, most of which are unique, as well as various memorabilia, period photographs and interesting historical reconstructions relating to the dawn of aviation. Highly recommended for a visit with the family and temple for the enthusiast
There are many planes, arranged in different hangars and divided into various historical phases. From the dawn of flight, the biplane heroes and ahead to the contemporary period.
I recommend it because it is a beautiful journey through time, in the history of technology and the human value of the pilots who have brought prestige to our aeronautics.
The visit is free and deserves even if you don't have much time available.
Historical Museum of the Air Force, with its 13,000 m2 of covered exhibition space, is one of the largest and most interesting flight museums in the world. Visit it
Well-run museum divided into historical sections with detailed captions. Ideal for schools
I was there recently, after so many years living in the area. A fantastic museum that everyone will love, young and old. There are, if I remember correctly, 4 sheds that trace the history of aeronautics. They are exposed from the first models of airplane without engine to the tricolor arrows. Real jewels. To visit absolutely and then ... it's free!
A beautiful place on the shores of Lake Bracciano and a truly spectacular museum
In a truly magnificent context impossible for fans and not to miss a visit to this enchanting place with about 80 aircraft that have marked the history of Italy a seaplane base I believe to be the first places in the world 113 years. The Museum is the third or fourth place in the world for importance, unique aircraft. You breathe the history of aviation.
Beautiful museum for fans and not, contains true rarities and unique pieces of the history of our glorious Aviation! Free admission for everyone !! Long live Italy!
A unique place in an enchanted setting and timeless. Limited spaces that allow only a few aircraft to show off. Unique pieces for the Italian and world aviation history.
I was dragged, not convinced by a friend. I was thrilled by the part dedicated to the Second World War. Some planes, authentic myths thrill. Note on the courtesy of those who manage the refreshment point.
A unique and truly well-kept place. Planes from the early 1900s to the present day. Free entry is a beautiful location by the lake. Perfect.
A high level historical museum with more than 100 splendid original planes..a place to spend a day by the lake.
