I was able to get a booking for the Winterlust experience. We were required to spend a minimum of $200. I would say that the pork belly was probably the one dish that stood out and their truffle fries. Everything else was average to me. Even though the rest of the food was average, I enjoyed the experience of being inside of the Globe.
I've been there a few times now and love going back for the decor, the drinks, the fries and for server Mel! He always makes us laugh and knows exactly what to say at the right time. We look forward to seeing him. :))
A very relaxing place for dinning or drinks with stunning Coal Harbor view.
Very romantic setting, excellent deal on fresh oysters, crab cake is a must! Goes well with a glass of white wine. Impeccable service, highly recommended!
Great decor, afternoon tea and lovely staff. Unfortunate that it is part of the hotel lobby however.
We visited H Tasting Lounge on Friday evening to celebrate early Valentine's and Chinese New Year and also looking forward to the long weekend for Family Day.
We parked at the separated parking lot and upon checking in with the hostess, provided or license plate for free parking. You don't need to pay at the lot. We made reservations online so we were seated quickly by the hostess. The lounge was lower dimmed with music which set the mood. It seemed lively and the tables were partitioned. The seats were quite comfortable.
We ordered off the Dine out Vancouver menu for $35 and order some drinks. Our drinks True Lies cocktail and yuzu spritz.
I ordered:
1) Kale salad - I love starting with salads and this was a really tasty salad with citrus dressing and spiced nuts.
2) pan seared salmon - perfectly cooked and bit salty for me but having it with the tomato relish cut down the saltiness.
3) Vanilla bean gelato - I shouldn't have finished it but I did because it was that good.
My hubby order:
1) mushroom soup
2) pork belly
3) blueberry white chocolate cheesecake
I did have some bites of the pork belly and wow, it was very rich and flavourful. It was a bit salty for my liking but I did ask for another bite to my husband's dismay :).
My only issue from our first dining experience at H Tasting Lounge it took 30 minutes for our entrees from the time we received our appetizers. The staff did not provide us any updates or "check in", which I expected as common courtesy. We knew the wait was 30 minute as our food photos were timed stamped. I did notice the table next to us who were seated after we put our drink and food order in, they got their appetizers and entrees ahead of us and they also ordered off the Dine Out Vancouver menu. I though that was a bit odd.
I would like to try the Winterlust dining experience if it still going in March 2021. We will see.
Hju:z is an absolutely stunning place to dine with velvet lounge chairs, chic chandelier and lightning and hints of gold in their decor. Perfect place to dine and snap some gorgeous photos! I recently came here with some friends to try out their hightea menu. There were some pretty unique selections amongst their hightea menu which include the green tea panna cotta, lobster and green apple roll, duck meat rice wrap, and wild mushroom filo cup. All of the sandwich and pasteries were very good! In the beginning they even have sample tea leaves for you to smell the tea selection they have. The lounge wasn't too busy for Sunday with about 3 to 4 tables seated, which was quite nice cause that gives the server more time to help and check on each table. Overall, a lovely place to dine and treat yourself for some hightea or good eats!

Food tasted amazing and customer service and presentation was just too good. Very friendly and they took their time to explain what exactly the food is and how its made. I could not ask for a better Valentine's Day Diner.
H Tasting Lounge is one of my favorite spots in the city. Beautiful views, Instagram worthy aesthetic, awesome vegan options and carefully crafted cocktails. One of my favorite things, as someone who does not drink, is the effort their bartenders put in to crafting beautiful spirit-free drinks. The patio is incredible and I highly recommend checking it out!
Meh. Expensive, not that good. Our $18 crab dip was sort of runny. Not the place to go for drinks and appys.
Afternoon tea with friend, food was good but didn't suprise me. I felt a little pricey, but the service really nice. It was quite, maybe only few tables. If you want free parking, ask the valet to park for you or you need to pay.
Perfect place to unwind and the food is excellent including the staff.
This place is beautiful, the design is classy and inviting. Unfortunately the service is lacking. We have been here for 75 minutes and just received our second drink. The food is adequate but for the quality of the setting I would expect a bit more. We ordered the prawns and they came in a bowl of ice that was mostly melted. The cheese plate and charcuterie and both appeared to be prepared a while ago. Maybe it is an off night. We will likely give it another try.
We went for the afternoon tea! Very good service and it's a quiet place to hang out too! Food was good and it's very instagrammable! would like to go back to try their lunch and dinner!
Looks pretentious, but our grandkids could join us in the lounge and were given free popcorn.
our winterlust experience was perfect and food and drinks were all so delicious! our amazing server melandro was hilarious, had us dying from so much laughter, we loved him!! will definitely be back :)
We went for winter lust. The igloo bubble things are surprisingly warm. It was almost snowing when we went, but didn't need my jacket on inside. The food was really, really good. We did the dine out menu and everything I had really tasty. The cocktails were also really great.
Nice environment to have some nice afternoon tea. Food selections are very tasty. Definitely coming back
We had a great time at Happy Hour here! Cocktails were great and Curtis was very accommodating and gave a great level of attention given we stayed quite a while. The young woman who sat us also did a great job making sure we got extra space when we had more people come to join us. Think she said her name was Sage :) ... Thanks H!

I initially had a not so pleasant experience trying to make reservations but that all changed when I received a call from Milen who was very kind and helped me with my booking. Thank you for taking the time to contact me and fix the problem. I'm looking forward to my reservation!
Great food, service and ambiance. Prices are reasonable. Open during COVID and the plexiglass makes you feel very safe. The views are amazing - good idea to go for a stroll before or after your meal.

Nice environment however high tea is overpriced and advertisement does not match what you get. I was looking forward to having my food in the carousel and cotton candy bonsai tree which both of them, I did not get. Total disappointment and RIP off!
Had a wonderful Christmas dinner in the Snow Globe. Love the atmosphere! Staffs were friendly and food was great. Definitely recommend !!!

My husband and I went here during the holidays. It is decorated beautifully, and has a lovely ambience. We were lucky enough to experience happy hour and enjoy oysters.
Delicious, fresh, ice cold Kusshis oysters for buck a shuck. They were spectacular. We also had some cocktails. The sliders and fish tacos were also good. Service from Dave was excellent and friendly.
We were hoping to return in the future to try out their adorable outside domes which are booked up 2+ months in advance.
We made reservations for one of the domes for this friday over a month ago, and even called to confirm the reservation a few weeks ago, and were told that yes, we had the reservation booked, everything looked good. Then my girlfriend gets a message yesterday that we've been moved to a table inside and when she called to ask why she was told the dome's are full and basically there's nothing they can do about it. Very upset about it, so unprofessional and inconsiderate. Needless to say we will not be taking the table inside...

This place is so unique! The design is spectacular, it has a very old school vibe. The drinks are really good and the price is reasonable. I like the overall feel and will be coming back here with some friends!
The Pork Belly served on a bed of sweet potato was very tasty. The sauce had a bit of a honey mustard feel to it. The fleshy portion of the meat was a little but dry, but overall was very good. Other dishes were not particularly memorable. Outstanding for a hotel restaurant, definitely an enjoyable experience.
When I booked for the outdoor patio I was unaware to specify the Christmas area, the general manager went out of her way and went above and beyond my expectations. I would recommend this to all my friends and family as the place itself is amazing but the hospitality by the manager is unbelievable! 5 stars
Myself and my friend came here yesterday as I had been the week before and had a great time and I wanted her to experience the same . Unfortunately we had a waitress ( middle aged wearing a black dress that she always wears and a blonde ponytail with her till card hanging from her left arm which again she always does ) she always seams to be working in the same section ( at the back with all the tables against the window opposite the bar ) made us feel like we where worth nothing . We felt as though she didn't care for us as we were there for happy hour . She was slow with all 6 of her tables , she would give us a drink and leave the empty glass beside us still this was the same for the tables around us . It was not busy but we were always waiting . My friend asked her for something and I also asked for the same while I ask her she rudely walks away as I'm talking we said we'll see if what we ask for comes and it did so why walk away while we're talking ? We had to ask her college for the bill as she was no where to be seen then she finally arrived with the bill and pointed out to us that we had asked behind her back for the bill then she had a problem we wanted to split it and then walked to another table for a chat as we were already waiting and now we're waiting even longer ? THEN when we finally paid she was full of chat being all nicey nicey we felt this was all an act for a tip . This was my first experience of not wanting to tip anything at all ,which I did and the minimum tip here is 20 % , and then she pointed out how its empty after happy hour ? So where were you when we were sitting around empty glasses and cutlery ? And waiting for our bill ? . I have experience in fine dining and hospitality and this lady is rude and doesn't know how to serve tables or even how to talk to costumers. We then left to go to a low class bar and we had the best service from a young lady running the whole bar on her own . She had great attention to detail unlike the waitress at this high class restaurant. It's a pity as my experience here last time was perfect our server was great he was a gentleman . And very professional when it came to our bill he stepped back and didn't make us feel pressured into tipping which we left a healthy tip . He was always attentive and checked on us numerous times as well as managing other tables . A service you would expect . I won't be returning after my last encounter here . I gave three stars as the bar man is always fantastic the food is good and the server before her was a gent . Other wise it would be a one star if this was my experience first time being here my rate will be different . This place will stand out with better staff . Staff make all the difference and this one was poor my friend is a chef and doesn't really have experience working on the floor and even she said it was the worst experience in Vancouver . I myself can agree this " waitress that didn't want to wait " ruined everything for us ..some may say this is harsh but it's reality :)
