Indian honeymooners Dream.Booked Tamassa resort from official vendor Antilog Vacations in their some 30% off deal & loved every part of it.Location is slightly off but its a 4* which is about to be a 5* after refurbishment.Good Bar,Food & Lux hospitality. Much better than resorts in north & north west.highly reccomended

Superb evening entertainment and excellent nouriture
Reception, level of service, hotel configuration, everything was impeccable. The activities were numerous: volleyball, diving, tennis, gym ... The hotel and its site south of the island is pleasant for families.
Suggestion for improvement: the care of children could be more animated. Especially for 8-11 year olds who need supervision and animation.
Enjoyable experience at this nice place. Recommended.

The resort is clean and tidy, well appointed and the staff are very attentive and could not be more helpful! The long light was a distant memory within hours.Money well spent!

Room is great comfort and privacy .. Room service not always on time you might need some patience.
Nice beach many sea activities however there are many sea urchins watch out my foot was hit by them twice outch..

The Tamassa Hotel lies in a very large extent of prime seaside land. Ecologically and environmentally friendly, the layout maximizes its natural aspects to offer a host of activities.
Sea activities include water skiing, pedallo, kayak, snorkeling and glass bottom boats.
Tamassa has 3 swimming pools
A variety of original /mauritian/international food and drinks are offered in 2 Restaurants, a burger truck, a bar and a tea time garden picnic everyday. I should add: they offer very tasty gourmet cuisine.
The rooms are large, well aerated, comfortable and very practical.
The Santosha Spa is a jewel in itself. I would be at a loss to describe everything offered there: sauna, hamam, a dedicated swimming pool and a warm jacuzzi. Different types of massageS customized to your immediate needs. You may change your mind from an energizing massage to a relaxing one....during the session at no extra cost!
But all these DO NOT REALLY describe our stay there!!!! THERE IS MUCH MUCH MORE and its in the manners of the staff.
1. Every such leisure providers have courteous staff that greets you whenever you come across them. HERE THEY ALL GREET YOU, STOP AND GENUINELY ASK IF ALL IS OK for 60 genuine seconds. From the housekeeping crew to the resort Manager. The PRO is always around for feedback.
2. The bar and restaurant staff are very professional, courteous and helpful. We were a crowd of about 70 on top of other clients at the Show restaurant and the service did not suffer!!! And they offered very tasty and orginal buffet menus.
3. The entertainment staff were really awesome. We danced, had a foam party, great team building activities topped by a visit to the nearby Castle on foot and back along the pristine beaches!
4. A tortoise kindly greeted us at sea. The skipper had such patience to let us have a great view. This is very rare opportunity!
In conclusion, Tamassa does not just have physical assets that it makes the most of.....ITS REAL ASSET LIES IN ITS PERSONNEL !!!
They make its clients feel ROYAL!

Absolutely unbelievable amazing good food great welcome
We went here for my 50th birthday. First we were given a room next to the pool that was very noisy. We then asked for a quieter room and the hotel were quick to respond and moved us to another room. The resort is not very big and has over 250 rooms yet it's set up really well were you don't feel like you're clustered altogether. The rooms are spacious and lovely. The food is absolutely delicious with a different buffet everyday. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner every nite for the week we spent there .we had breakfast in our room daily with hot croissant and pastries. For my birthday the hotel decorated my room which was a pleasant surprise. At dinner a cake was also presented to celebrate my birthday and that made it all the more exciting.the beach and pools are beautiful as well as the jacuzzi steam room and sauna .will definitely go again if I get a chance to. I definitely recommend this hotel which is less crowded and in the south of Mauritius
This hotel is 4 stars but deserves 5 stars. I have gone to several hotels but this one was one of the best hotel. Best serving food. Animation was Great. Great experience.

Finding indian food at that country would be difficult if we weren't at that place. We have served with all kinds of indian foods throughout our week long stay..
The chef's over there needs a special mention. They were very friendly and gives special attention to each and every one's taste and culture.

Tamassa is the place to be if you want to have fun, be it with family, or friends. The more, the merrier. It was my first stay at the resort, and i had a wonderful time.
Instagrammers would be happy to explore this hotel, with several photo corners.
A makeshift dance floor was set up in open air,on the beach for late night party! That was great :)
Given i visited at a time when this resort is open to locals only, i doubt they put up the usual service and quality. A reason i didnt put a 5 star review is i didnt quite like the food options, the constant queues to get food at lunch or diner. Whilst this didnt happen to me, i was surprised to learn about housekeeping opening a room and remove bags/belongings of 1 resident who had not yet checked. Usually hotels block the room access after checkout time and cards have to be reactivated for customers to check out. Must have been a nasty time for the customer. Ours luckily was a good experience, with late checkout offered for our group(we had 4 rooms booked). We even had a birthday cake cutting ceremony near the wishes tree, with someone from the hotel singing and playing on a guitar. These little extras made the experience pleasurable. I was also happy to see a baby cot was provided to us. Attention to details matter.
Tip: make sure you go snorkelling. There is much reef conservation going on at Bel Ombre and you will enjoy the views.

Very nice hotel area right on the beautiful beach. Many water sports (snorkeling, water skiing, windsurfing, sailing, pedal boat u.v.m.) included. Very friendly staff!
Absolutely wonderful. If I had to imagine what heaven would be like, this would be it.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is amazing and the venue is immaculate. Rooms are well serviced multiple times a day and fridge is always stocked.
All-inclusive meals are very good and vary from day to day. The drinks variety is aslo plentiful on all-inclusive. There are non-inclusive items but you never feel like you're lacking without supplement items.
There is never a moment that you don't feel welcome or free to enjoy your holiday, it's encouraged to relax while they take care of you.
Definitely coming back here.

Its a beautiful luxurious resort with very friendly staff and environment. A most recommended property in Mauritius.
Hotel is ok. Very nice rooms. 3 pools. Even at HP relatively much included. AI possible. 2 restaurants. Food varies and is often quite spicy / spicy or tasteless. Friendly staff. In the evening relatively loud entertainment without qualitative highlights. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you should take a room far away from the main bar.
Very nice hotel, we are not on each other. Large gardens to stroll or rest, many activities offered and mini club at the top for children.
An incredible place for a holiday. Our kids loved the pools, the kids club, the games room and the icecream and pancakes twice a day! Staff were alsoi excellent.

What a place in the nicest of ways. Beautiful beach, pools and accommodation. Facilities fantastic and staff just can't do enough to help you enjoy yourself. Restaurants serve excellent choices with a lovely one on the beach which you need to book 24 hours in advance as it's so popular. Excellent pool bar with live group most evenings.I'm on a all inclusive break so adds to the experience but you can have pay as you go if you so desire.
The service and staff were very helpful and pleasant. Mr Naheed who really took care of us yesterday with his great professionalism and great welcoming. Great service from the staffs of the restaurant Mr Altaaf, Ali, Sherna and the chef kunal who really pampered us yesterday. Had a really wonderful time there. The hotel has exceeded our expectations: the staff is top notch. Caring and always listening to us.
The Spa is magnificent and accessible to all. Spacious clean rooms.
The catering is great. We eat very well (so too much! Lol) the service is perfect.
Not to mention the bar where the cocktails are delicious the hamburger food truck a marvel ...

Tamassa is in the south of the island ... Wild side of the island and so magnificent. The beaches are magical, turquoise water!
We had an amazing stay there, in a wonderful hotel worth knowing. I recommend it to you.

I never go to the same place twice and yet i find myself writing this review from the beautiful resort of Tamassa on the last day of my holiday.
I had such a wonderful time last year that i was more than a little nervous that it would live up to my expectation but i needn't have worried, as if anything they have been exceeded!
There are little touches that are new to the resort & things constantly pop up to surprise you (for example the rum truck which is great addition!). Something that thankfully hasn't changed are the friendly, engaging staff who make you feel very special & will do anything to make your stay as perfect as it can possibly be.
I celebrated a big birthday whilst i was here & was thoroughly spoilt all day. I was sung to by Jonathan at lunch time & the lovey Anesh arrange for a very special meal, a birthday cake & champagne courtesy of the General Manager, Stephan.
When we came back to our room it had been decorated by the housekeeping team during the turn down service. This was a wonderful surprise & a very welcome new innovation for this year.
There was the most intricate towel decoration on my bed with flowers & petals & a special message on the mirror. This was a lovely touch, that made me feel very pampered & finished the day of perfectly.
The housekeeping staff are very efficient & service the room twice a day. The rooms are keep immaculately clean & they manage it all with a big smile.
I wont repeat myself & say i will never return again this time, as i fear it may be inevitable as i will be leaving another piece of my heart here when i leave tomorrow x
Bful resorts with lots of free water sports.. although they claim they have 3 restaurants and one burger trucks but food is amazing only at one place.. their fine dining restaurant near the beach... breakfast is just ok... staff is very good... helping and sensitive..
Great resort area, which is well maintained. Friendly and helpful staff !!! Dreamlike and not overcrowded !!! The biggest plus is the excellent prepared food !!!

The services are just average, it lacks a lot of elements to make it a 5 star hotel. There is no fresh juice without supplement which is absurd for me by expected standards. The animation is really not intended for young people but more easily older people. Otherwise the word that would best sum up this hotel is average. NOTHING is bad but nothing is perfect either which leads me to give only 3 stars
