Was at tamassa hotel for 3 nights... food ok but lack of communication from the staff...they ignored us at breakfast lunch and dinner maybe because we are mauritians!!! At show restaurant during breakfast we were ignored and not a single word from the woman who was doing ommelette...but she greeted a foreigner who was behind us. For your info we also paid for the hotel..not only them!!!

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff and great care. Many activities proposed. No time to get bored. We recommend. Only downside the wind but here we can not do much but it's hot so it's going lol

Perfect service, always quick staff and beautiful reptile with great snorkeling. Just outside the reception desk, they make fresh burgers during lunch, which cannot be resisted. In the evening, there is a beach restaurant or buffet, where live cooking and meals are simply original to everything the country has to offer. I personally prefer Indian influences that excel in gastronomy. There is no problem at the hotel and someone will ask you 3 times a day. Who has a problem is solved right to the client's satisfaction. Nobody here at first sight controls staff. Everyone knows what to do and how to behave. It is also possible to book snorkeling on the beach or go with the hotel's glassed-in boat to the coral reefs with children, which surprised me. Those looking for pools are here and nice, but don't go straight to Mauritius :) yeah and the drinks are worn automatically to the beach and the local mojito with passion fruit is great ..

What a paradise this is everything is what you expect beautiful location friendly people good food calming great wildlife all around and that's just 2 days in . After 2 weeks reluctant to go home only issues. room mattress needs replacing . Watch the current when snorkelling or swimming as it will sweep you away and it is possible to get dragged over the coral especially at low tide . All in all a great location and I would definitely visit again

It's a 4 star with the service of a 5 star. Very, very nice. Food is good. Facilities are excellent. The only fault I could say is that the internet in my room was poor although in common areas it was fine .

It's a paradise. Awesome hotel with three large swimming pools, a burger truck free for all guests, ice cream parlour that's free from 12noon to 3pm, three huge restaurants , have it's own neat and clean private beach with all water sports activities at boat house, lemon juice, ice tea are free for all at beach named Drinks, can have a beach side dinner, kids zone, lux spa, tennis courts , beach volleyball, gym, infirmary, shop, Rooms are very good with large bathrooms, nice staff with always smile on face, buffet is very good with all continental and delicious Indian food ,cook are very good always at your services.
One of the best Hotel I visited, like a dream come true, definitely come again.

We had a nice 2-week stay at Tamassa, in April/May 2018.

Highlights:
- Nice and clean rooms with good (free) wifi
- Great wellness centre with jacuzzi, sauna and steam room
- Good beach, perfect for snorkelling (water shoes highly recommended!)
- Really good food, amazing burgers for lunch
- Sports and water activities that are for free - we did paddle boarding, yoga, volleyball, glass boat trip and a snorkelling trip
- Great staff at the reception desk. When we arrived, they gave us a room no 1051 which was on the ground floor and we didn't like it as it was too dark. We asked for another room and got it the same day (room 2095 which was very good)
- Everyone speaks English
- Good gym

Lowlights:

- Sometimes the service was too slow and the waiters were not very well organised, in the morning we often had to wait for hot drinks as you can't get them yourself (which we would prefer)
- Evening entertainment could be better
- In the afternoon they serve pancakes and muffins every time - we would definetely appreciate some creativity here and more things to choose from (including fruit)
- There aren't enough bars. There's no bar on the beach / no swim up bar, you have to get your drinks at the main bar (B Bar) or the beach restaurant

Once we complained about the service and got a bottle of champagne and they organised a private breakfast for us on the beach the following day. It seems that they care about their guests and try to improve, which we really appreciate. We would come back, overall it is a really nice hotel.

A very nice hotel belonging to Lux *, a Mauritian architectural style. The services are of quality. A big + for children who are supported from 3 to 17, including two clubs: the "Play" for children from 3 to 11 years, and the "Studio 17" for teenagers from 12 to 17 years. I appreciated the concept of "Tree of Wishes" where customers can submit their wishes and be drawn at the end of the year. A telephone is also available at the reception to contact, free for 3 minutes around the world, your family or your friends.
It is also one of the only hotels adapted to the PMR.

The structure is well placed and the center well organized.
Good for beginners in diving, for confirmed or frequent travelers of our activity, go your way.

I forgot to leave a notice! a stay that is too short, but an exceptional welcome and services in "all inclusive" mode. A caring staff, always smiling and a heavenly place that obviously contrasts with real life on the island. Mauritians are adorable and this multiculturalism is just perfect. We plan to return to Tamassa as soon as possible. I highly recommend this place, for rest, relaxation, leisure offered ...

Thank you Naheema, for displaying your creativity in our room everyday. Thank you Jonathan And Lorenzo for Your Wonderful Smile and Friendliness, At The Teen Club. (Please if there are any South Africans Visiting Tamassa... biltong is Jonathans favourite.) We Could Really Recommend This Resort. Great for Families or a Romantic Getaway. Plenty to see and do. Beach and pool area is Phenomenal. Thank you Tamassa for making our trip a memorable one. My daughter injured herself, the morning after we arrived. We thought our holiday had come to an end. But everyone made sure that wasnt to be. We will definitely be back.

Superb environment and the heated outdoor pool is a bliss

Beautiful setting and facilities. The pools, the room, the restaurants, and the private beach are all stunning and made for an incredible honeymoon. Rum on tap certainly helps too!

Just spent 10 days holiday there. Five of us had a wonderful time. By the way three of us are under 7. The hotel is perfect for young family like us. They have kids club from age 3. The staffs are so good with kids. They don't just do drawing all day. There are 7 days time table of different activities 6 times a day. So it keeps kids entertained. Food are excellent. Different themes 7 days a week. If you are not the most adventure person. The chef would happily cook something more traditional food for you. We went with the all inclusive package. So breakfast lunch tea and dinner. There are more than plenty option for both alcoholic
and non alcoholic. If cocktails are your cup of tea. Then plenty of Rum options. Mocktails are also available too. The mini bar in the room are also included. Our family room was big enough to accommodate 1 more child if necessary. There is a Queen size bed. One single fold up bed. Then a single bunk beds. 2 toilets. 1 corner bath. 1 walk in shower. Plenty of drawers and built in waldron. No need to bring your hair dryer and electronic insects repellent too.

Finally I would highly recommend to anyone who has a young family who would like to have fun with their children and then if u want to chillax for an hour then plenty of baby sitter available. We will definitely go back in the future.

Great hotel, staff could not be more helpful, plenty of good food choice. Lovely gardens.
Large pool ok, two smaller pools not so good they need vacuuming out lots of what looked like droppings. Beach all along very Corley need water shoes to avoid sharp bits.

The deco is very nice. And the roomare quiet big and there's enough activities to spend your days.

Initially the food was not very good. There were a few sweets and little choice of seconds. After my observations have improved, the dessert buffet is richer and more attention has been paid to food and cooking. However, the food remains cooked with many spices. The honeymoon treatment is non-existent and does not do anything special for this event, not even a beach dinner. The beach and the sea are fantastic. The staff is friendly, kind and very willing to listen to your requests and help you.

Great service for my day trip. Kids loved the kids club. The spa is amazing and the staff are so lovely from the time you step in from the time you leave. We needed towels and they ran out but quickly sorted out some fresh ones for us. Service made my day. 4 stars only because the choice in the buffet was small but it was sufficient. Sometimes too much choice is not good.

Awesome! Staff caring, kids club at the top. Varied and succulent meals. Heavenly decorations. Super spa. If I had to criticize I would just say that cocktails are a little light .... it's a lesser evil.

We were there in September 2019 and now I have finally found the time to have a pos. Leave a review of what this hotel definitely deserves.
The arrival and check-in were totally uncomplicated and we were taken care of immediately upon arrival. Ismena, one of the lines for the tourists there, was extremely friendly and was always available for questions and requests for improvement. (Greetings from the guests from Upper Silesia :-))

The location was good, even if there were no supermarkets or similar nearby. gives. However, this can also be an advantage in order to fully enjoy your rest and your vacation.

There is a separate shop in the hotel and a telephone, which I believe can be used free of charge for 3 minutes a day (abroad).

The rooms were very spacious and the room service was very good. The ladies and gentlemen from the room service were always in a good mood and had a smile on their faces, like the rest of the staff in the hotel. If we had a wish, it was implemented directly if possible.
Smaller repairs were also carried out by hand to turn.

At lunchtime we could either eat near the beach (a la cart) or at the
"Burger truck". The employees at the truck were really nice and also accepted special requests with a smile on their faces.

In the evening in the restaurant we were always assigned a table. The staff was quick and empty plates were never on our table for long. Even empty containers were never available.
In addition, pizzas etc. were freshly prepared in front of the guest. Maybe. it would be good to translate the dishes into German, as not everyone in our group could speak English and there were many tourists from Germany (just a tip).

There was a disco evening twice a week in the hotel, but from a certain time the drinks had to be paid, despite all inclusive - too bad. Accordingly, we were never there for so long.

One evening (Friday) there was a power cut or something. Despite this problem, the staff was always professional and nice. They didn't let the situation show, even if there was a lot of research behind the scenes.

You don't have to get your own drinks on the beach. There are staff who bring the drinks to the couch. Here I would like to praise Mr. Rafick or something like that, who was always in a good mood and read every wish from the lips of the guests. I felt like he was there from Monday to Sunday. He was always in a hurry, which I totally admire !!

We were able to use various water sports activities free of charge on site. Kayak etc.
A trip with the glass boat was also included.

If there were too few beach chairs on the beach, the staff was directly on the spot and brought the beach chairs to the appropriate guests from other places on the beach (from the hotel).

I especially want to emphasize the situation with Neckermann!
In this situation, this hotel was totally customer-oriented! We as guests did not have to pay an extra cent despite the tour operator's bankruptcy. I have to say that we were already there a week when Neckermann declared bankruptcy.
The guests next door from the hotel had more problems with the hotel management, which we noticed.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you again for standing behind your guests !!
Before we left, it was unfortunately not possible in our case to get the room longer (until evening) because other guests were already coming. Nevertheless, we were able to enjoy the day on the beach and then use the showers in the hotel's own gym.
On the way there is a wish tree on which the guests can write down and hang up their wishes, dreams.

We have just spent the most perfect two weeks at this lovely resort. The friendly staff do everything they can to help. The rooms are large and very well maintained. There is a wide choice of cuisine available in the 'Show' restaurant which is a help yourself buffet style. Or you can have silver service at the smaller beach side restaurant. What better than to start the evening than with a cocktail while watching the sun go down at the bar right on the beach. The highlight of this holiday is being able to snorkle right off the beach and discover an abundance of colourful fish. We have stayed here twice now and will definitely come back again. THANK YOU everyone at Tamassa for making our holiday so special.

They have immensely expensed on the resort but unfortunately the rooms are not That happening, overall its a good place for everyone. The food is good and the most important the service staff are awesome.

First time to Mauritius and I was so impressed by the friendliest staff, always on hand to help with a smile. Mahesh the head chef went out of his way to serve us as required specialist menu. Great resort will visit again.

Stay of an unforgettable week. There is everything you need to not go out. We are captivated at the entrance. The room is also top as are the pools, the spa area, the hobbies, the food and the staff. We loved everything and of course we recommend!

Firstly I d like to say a huge huge thank you to all the staff for making our stay at The Tassama Hotel a truly memorable occasion.
Every member of staff made us feel so welcome, there professionalism, dedication to our wellbeing and happiness shone through.
We have to say a special thank you to Sabine, Suzella, Niamh and not forgetting Naheema for their unbelievable care and love, thank you seems to little to say.
The hotel was spotlessly clean with the gardens perfectly tended to. Our room 2082 over looked one of the four swimming pools likewise was spotless, cleaned everyday with an evening turn down service as well Naheema you are a jewel.
During our stay we celebrated a wedding anniversary again the management and staff made sure the occasion was a truly memorable with a dedicated menu, fizz and a fabulous anniversary cake.

Thank you again, we will definitely be returning as soon as we can

Had a great and enjoyable moment at Tamassa this weekend. All the credit goes to Mr Nishaad, the Room Division Manager, without him our stay would not be successful and enjoyable.
Special thanks to Mr Vinesh, the F&B Manager, Mr Altaf in the restaurant at show, they assisted us from the arrival to departure and we highly recommend them on their future endeavors. Special thanks to all the tamassa team. The beachfront room was really amazing and it was all thanks to Mr Nishad. Highly recommended and definitely a 4*+ hotel with great staffs.
