It is the place where the current King resides and some part of the palace is museum where there is a Gallery with potraits of all the Jodhpur Kings. There is nothing much here to do.

World largest private residence.
And I love because of this royal palace is rajputana's pride.
Umaid bhawan, attractive place , crowded clean and safe ,
Situated in the middle of the city .
Good collection of vintage cars, awesome palace. The view is good from outside, which shows the entire palace and the supporting pillars. The view from outside of jodhpur is spectacular. Also a good place to enjoy sunset
It is a very beautiful place. Totally made by jodhpuri stone. I recommend you. If you visit jodhpur anytime plz must see this place
For Indian entry fee only Rs 30
As a visitor not much good. Stay may good but toooooo costly
Quality, service and experience of highest standard.
Lovely palace, only a small portion is open for public viewing. The watch collections are amazing. Paintings are very colorful. King's vintage car collections are a class.
Abntique pieces of Umaid Kingdom time. Good experience
Nice place although we were not allowed in 2/3rd part of the palace and royalty still lives there. I will not say must visit but surely if you are in Jodhpur you can go once.
Elegant architecture with full of heritage reflection, spread in quite large area, great ambience and specious parking, one of the famous place of Jodhpur city, attraction for tourist, amazing crafting of the building to make it more attractive and beautiful.
Great architecture, historical pics, artifacts, cars etc. Scenic views, beautiful surroundings and helpful staff...only issue - too much info on one family and almost nothing on people/artists/generations of Jodhpur. I know palace is their home but it gets 'over' after a point.
Well maintained but lack of public transport facility here
1 time visit, no public transport available directly from jodhpur station. Auto rickshaw will charge 100 150 rupees.
Outstanding architecture and equally stunning interiors, Umaid Bhawan Palace is must have experience Jodhpur. Unlike most Palaces in India, the architecture is less ornate with straight lines in most of the building. However, the exterior looks overwhelming with its central dome and minarets. Amazing building.
If you are visiting Rajasthan.. pls dont forget to add this palace in your bucket list. The rest will amaze you
Breathtaking Rajput architecture! The musuem was very well maintained, with good displays. Perfect outing for a sunny day in Jodhpur!
I loved this place this is where Priyanka Chopra got married with Nuck jonas. The muesum inside is also nice and if you hire a guidr they will explain you in detail it's clean and it costs 30 rs for an Indian for the tickets.
Experienced a queenly feeling while walking through the corridors.
The umaid bhawan (chittar palace another name) is an amazing structure divided in two parts in present world. One as the umaid bhawan museum accessible to public and another as part of Taj group of hotels only accessible to the hotel resident. Public can witness the vintage car collection at the museum.
It's very beautiful and serene. Though I visited 15 years back when lot of rooms and compartments were open and many artifacts were on display. Now, only a small portion was opened and limited artifacts were on display. Lot of buildings and constructions have started close to palace which decreases the royalty it owns. Overall the palace is beautiful and one of it's kind.
The property was build by Maharaja Umaid Singh and the construction work was completed in 1943. Recently, Umaid Bhawan Palace was awarded as the World's best hotel in India. Also it is one of the tourist attraction point in Jodhpur.
Awesome..... Indian historical place..... Loved it... Luxury lives here!!!
Majestic place to experience the royalness collection of vinatage cars royal embossed with golden design cutlery and many more
wonder full place for those who explore history of rajasthan.
Food found there is quite expensive but awesome and the experience was good a good place to visit but not a cheap place required lump sum amount of money but if you have money it's a good place .
Beautifull palace with unique photos murals and artifacts
Nice luxury hotel, offers world class services
Pure heritage feeling
The number provided here replied that people should call him at 10 am only then he takes the booking.
Beautiful property in Jodhpur now converted into a luxury hotel and residence of Royal family in one part. Very grand and piece of architecture. Even an entry to Hotel is expensive besides a night stay which can cost you a bomb. A very famous place for celebrities to host functions and weddings. Queen's room is available for a fortune per night. Visit the museum and four rooms to experience the beauty and history of the property. Guides really available to examine you every bit of it without expecting anything in return. Enjoy shopping while coming out at reasonable price. You may watch out the royal family playing Polo match every day just outside.
This is the best hotel one gets to feel the royalty and all guests are treated as if they were royals great experience
