The first view of palace is excellent and size is large . It also has few vintage cars. It's a 30mins tour inside palace. Situated on hill top, you can see some part of city. It is well maintained and a quiet place to sit and relax...

Historical and well maintained place.

Historical and well maintained place.
This palace is divided into three parts
1.In small part there is a exhibition for people
2.In other part King live with his family
3.In third part, there is most famous historical look hotel known as Umaid palace hotel. For normal people it's out of their budget.
Most of celebrity choose to live here if they ever visit Jodhpur.

The brown Taj Mahal I would say! This is the finest piece of architecture, so huge and royal , I have been to so many palaces but I have never seen like Umaid Bhavan Palace, Jodhpur is so lucky that the another Taj Mahal of India Is situated here. The word ROYAL itself sounds so small in front of THE UMAID BHAWAN , The palace is beyond the royal. Khamma Ghanni Sa loved it

Well I don t know where to start & where to end my review just the way you can t imagine where this palace starts and does not have an end because it is very much yet alive within us.

From the very entry into the palace we felt like Royalty as the welcome they gave with guards saluting, the band (like trumpet) playing, the garland, the auspicious kumkum teeka for blessings and most important are those unconditional smiles of Taj s team. It was as if my family has won a battle & have come back home after years. That s exactly how we were welcomed.

Mr. Akshat from Taj made our entire check-in and complete stay as smooth & comfortable as possible. He took our priorities into mind & broke done a perfect itinerary giving us time to experience
- the museum (a must do incase you enjoy history & vintage cars)
- cultural folk dance & music experience
- nicest authentic traditional meal at RISALA (don t miss it at any cost)
- palace walk
- gifting my kids at entry & exit with something traditional get useable making sure it s nailed into our memories so playfully

Ms Garvita took us around the Palace in DETAIL. She showed us where the current Maharaja stayed, the top of the line Maharani & Raja suites, outside beautiful lawns, both the outside & beautiful inside swimming pools, spa & so so much more. She really defined the word hospitality to a completely different level. Scarred us in the right way. We had so so so so many questions & demands which she smilingly answered and took care.

Taj organised a interesting high tea for us and the location & setting was just PERFECT. Live music & food. ON POINT!

Chanda my sister had a particular diet due to Ekadarshi which allowed only a few food items which could be consumed. All the Chefs (Pushpender & his colleagues) on duty took care of this so deliciously. We all couldn t imagine that fulhaar Ekadarshi food also could taste this yummy. Kudos to the entire kitchen team to take care of this along with my kids wanting stuff which wasn t on the menu and me having a vegan diet.

Waking up early morning to experience the yoga session is a delight. We had one of the best breakfasts setting in the open with artist playing the Indian musical instruments very elegantly, Peacock s dancing around, chilly weather taken care with fire lampposts and all that amazing food. Also my family had not experienced so many egg free bread options at one time. We just didn t know when & how to stop eating.

We checked out happier & heavier.

This was a beautiful hotel with nice amenities, clean rooms, friendly and VERY helpful staff. We wish we could have stayed at this hotel longer! The rooms are very large with beautiful decorations throughout. I highly recommend this to anyone traveling to Jaipur!

This grand yellow sandstone palace spreads over 26 acres of gardens, making it one of the largest private residences in the world. Featuring Art Deco and Renaissance design, it has 2 swimming pools and pampering treatments at Jiva Grande Spa.

Spacious air-conditioned rooms and suites were designed for royalty, all equipped with a flat-screen TV, DVD player and spa bath treatments. A pillow menu, well-equipped minibar and Molton Brown toiletries are included. All bathrooms have a bathtub.

An amazing place to out with your family and friends..!
An energetic environment, the old sculptures and antiques are its specialities..!

A real palace with just 64 suites (out of a total of 340+) that are run extremely well by Taj Hotels. The staff are efficient and friendly without being stiff and overly formal.

The rooms are large and luxuriously furnished, with views of the city from each balcony.

Highly recommended!!

Outstanding place and service.
This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at.
Everything was just perfect, I stayed here for my anniversary and they had surprises for us every few hours which was very kind and sweet of the hotel staff.
Needless to say the ambience is awesome as it's a palace and housekeeping was very courteous. Special thanks to Alka(sorry if we have misunderstood the name) the Duty Manager who was kind enough to upgrade us to a suite...

The only sad part was that we stayed only for a day...

Great

Royalty at its best! One has two options to enter the palace, buying a tour which can cost up to US$100 or buying a museum entry pass which costs US$1 to Indians and US$2 to international tourists. The museum displays minute details about the palace, rooms and their history. Museum showcases history of kings and how the art was used and inspiration behind the same. One also gets the access to highness vintage cars.

Must visit.

Stayed 2 nights, this place is very special. Service, room, food all really really good, but when you package that with the building, patios, corridors, garden, it is just the bomb. Try check in like 4ish so you can take the history tour for guest at 5pm takes 30mins, it will probably be just you and the guide, and gives you a feel for the place, so that for the rest of the stay you can walk around like you know where you are going ;)

Awesome For that perfect traditional touch of royalty and ethnicity, you can never miss out the best places to visit in Jodhpur. Jodhpur, the Sun City of India, is one among the many popular royal thrones situated in the Thar Desert Region of Rajasthan.
