Food 4* - pricey by Indian standards, but well prepared and staff very attentive. Unspecified 'bar' problem meant no alcohol for evening, which puts the INR6500+ meal for two in perspective...
-1* for the fact that despite spending so much on dinner they couldn't give us 5 minutes on internet to book an uber. This is just another 5* hotel in the middle of nowhere surrounded by warehouses and inaccessible anywhere of note except by taxi.

Located at willingdon island, (perfect location), the hotel is clean, sea view rooms and provides u great experience. The hotel staffs are very helpful and will guide u throughout your stay. The hotel provides u almost every facilities from good rooms to stay, enjoy with friends, sea view hotel.

Great great property. Amazing food. Complimentary river cruise, high tea by the sea , cultural program and a lot many more activities. Only cons is that the property is away from city center and getting cabs would be difficult .

Good Location (located in Wilmington island) but away from Kochi City.
It has 2 wings - 1st is heritage wing and 2nd is new wing (harbor view wing) but both wings are connected.
The rooms are well maintained and good in size.
Their Room rates include evening (a). Tea, Coffee and snacks (b). Sunset cruise around the Cochin Harbour and (c). Half hour cultural show like Kathakkalli etc..
Very poor service and rates are not reasonable comparing with the services.

Nice place by the back waters ...beautiful view. Little far off from the city...will not get a cab late night for sure. Hotel itself is nice but there is a strong stench which greets you the moment you step out of the vehicle. Surprisingly you get acclimated very fast. you rarely feel the odor after some time. One part is heritage building. Other is modern new construction. Food is good .
So definitely a place to remember.

Not a good experiece at all.
1) Toilet was not very clean. There were stains in the water closet.
2) There was no room service. They don't answer the phone. You have to go down to the lobby to place your order.
3) Once I went down and asked for tea to be sent to the room. It never came. We can't call and ask about it because no one answers the phone in any department.
4) Very poor attention to detail and quality. In a room with three guests they kept just one glass. Asked the waiter who brought the food to get it. He said he will bring it, but never came back.
Had booked for 2 nights through Agoda.com I checked out after a day because of the poor service. They made me pay for 2 nights. I did not care. Just wanted out. Avoid if you don't want a bad experience.

A nice cosy restuarant. The view of backwaters on your side is such a pleasant experience. The food is of really good quality, taste assured. Their cake and ice cream is must try!!

Truly amazing experience.... Taj Malabar truly lives upto the "God's own country" tag given to kerela. The service, attitude of staff, hospitality is at its best. Probably the best hotel in the chain of Taj that I've been to. We were here for 3 days and every penny spent was worth it. Checking out now with loads of wonderful memories.. I am on road travel to kanyakumari from delhi and i stayed at Taj for the birthday celebrations. Taj Team made my day memorable, they upgraded the room to sea view room and the view is superb. You can see the entire coaching port.

For a 5 Star Hotel check-in is far below any star hotel. The front desk manager lacks experience to review reservation before discussing options. For a 2 pm confirmed checkin, they did not have room ready until 6:15
You check into the room of a 5 Star hotel - you do not expect mildew in shower and room not cleaned - stuff in refrigerator from previous guest.

Went to attend a wedding function at the lawn. The food was really good and the staffs were very helpful. Onky problem we faced is the heat caused by the lights. So if you are planning for any events there always keep a cooler
