A belated review. I have been fortunate enough to have had quite a number of luxury experiences in my life - from some of the world's best hotels and restaurants, to the world's most exclusive vehicles. Nothing has compared to this island experience. Taj Exotica Maldives is simply on another level. Period.

Awesome Ocean Villas with very good facilities and great food options! Epitome of Indian hospitality.

Taj exotica never fails to surprise us .. it's natural beauty coupled with their 5 star service is the reason we keep coming back year after year... The food is delicious irrespective of the cuisine you pick, their hospitality is second to none and attention to detail, along with care for their customers is just perfect.
Plenty of water based activities in and around the island and if scuba is not for you then at least go for their snorkeling excursion.
Have tried a few other fine establishments in the Maldives region but Taj exotica is indeed the crown jewel of the Indian Ocean

Just imagine that you go for a snorkel excursion, you lose your cell phone in the sea, and the guys from the Taj diving center look for it and find it 3 days later.

7 nights in the dreamland, how do I commence this review? For starters this place looks even better in real life. Absolutely stunning And the food is amazing

Upon arrival we were welcomed with vocals and drums in the event of our anniversary and birthdays. This show feeling complete was however stepped up with news of our free upgrade to the overwater bungalows Best surprise ever

Our trip wouldn't have been complete without the staff. The attentive care and out of their way assistance was overwhelmingly kind. Special thanks to Ahmed at Reception, the team at 24 degrees (Mohamad, Hassan, Hussein, Harmarand and Hamid), the villa caretakers (Adam, Nadeem and Alif), the lifeguards (Ahmed and Hamid), Photographers and also our buggy crew (Mouad, Asif, Alif, Ayatollah and Shamiz).

Recommend to all couples after that special something

Well-managed resort, very beautiful place, the water house is clean and comfortable, breakfast and dinner are delicious every day, there are a variety of foods from all over the world, the most is Indian curry, the best choice is 2 packs. Dinner can be eaten at a single point for each dish. It is a pity that the menu is in English and there are no pictures. The first day was just 40 minutes after the English class. Fortunately, there is the help of Taiwanese Nancy, who can communicate with Chinese to provide assistance.

The resort offers 30 minutes of free professional photography, and we only know when we arrived, very pleasantly surprised. Just brought a white dress, suitable for honeymoon and wedding photos. The photographer is very professional, very good at shooting, with a simple retouching. It is worthwhile to give more tips. In terms of the price of overseas wedding dresses, I feel great to come here to take pictures here! There will be a free photo to remember, you need other photos to buy, there will be the original file USB. Back to the room, the intimate housekeeping staff also arranged a rose bubble bath.

Every day, there are activities to feed sharks and squid. I can also do yoga and meditation in the morning and start eating breakfast. The snorkeling around the island is very safe. There are lifeguards. Standing in the sea and only going to the waist, the whole family travels. Very suitable.

It was a fantastic journey for us. I was very happy to find a "Trick or Treat Tour" on the Internet to help us arrange it. It was a relaxing holiday!

What a place! True luxury with the amount of relaxation is what is found in this place! Amazingly maintained, well mannered staff, amazing food and chef onboard. Really no complaints. A pinnacle!

Excellent resort but service at its restaurants requires huge improvement.

I am in love with this place. Really awesome place to take a break from daily routine. This place share a memory, which is going last forever. Well maintained beaches and the island. Taj employees are really nice and will take care of all your stay. Very clean and calm sea water will always give a pleasant feel to it. Water Villa's are really awesome and something to make your journey memorable.

This hotel was perfect. The cleanliness, the staff, the service, the food, the weather. It was our honeymoon. I want to go again.

The complaints about aeroplanes can only be from people who live where planes never fly. I found them to be very few and far between. We were there in June, perhaps in peak season they are worse, but keep in mind that Maldives is a tiny nation and there are not thousands of hotels, a plane arriving with 300 people will fill many hotel rooms, and people stay for more than a few days. I don't see how thousands of people can be arriving daily, and therefore there should be only few planes. - oh, and the noise lasts about 30 seconds, and is not during the night.

The islands clean, the staff mostly friendly and the food delicious. The staff doesn t quite understand everything we d like but I d recommend it for its amazing bungalows

I like this hotel one of the best service I have experienced the only thing that I don't like is the price of the alcohol it's way too high. Lots of beautiful places and free water, fruits and coffee

It was a wonderful place. We stayed for 3 nights in September 2018, but the weather was great. It was raining sometimes in the middle of the night or in the morning, but it is also wonderful to see the rainbow as it passes by. Every morning from the pool villa, I entered Dobon and the sea and was playing with fish. I ate breakfast every morning at 24 Degrees, had two dinners, and one dinner at DEEP END, but it was delicious no matter what I asked for. Also, the Taj Burger at the poolside restaurant was great. There are a few Japanese people, so if you want to eat a dessert, I think it is better to share with two people. If you have any request, please let us know and we will respond in various ways. There are free yoga lessons and free snorkel rentals, both of which are new experiences, but they are completely indecent. The sauna in the spa is available free of charge. You will be prepared if you tell the time in advance.

Extremely beautiful property, and a very warm staff make for a once in a lifetime experience. Shamiz was our friendly Butler for the stay and he was extremely friendly, helpful and cheerful!

Taj Exotica is nothing short of heaven on earth. There is so much that this place has to offer. Beautiful white beaches, miles of pristine lagoon to swim in, friendly/knowledgable staff, spacious clean villas, and the BEST food I have EVER had. You will find many activities at Taj Exotica, such as kayaking and other watersports, daily snorkeling excursions to life filled coral reefs, trips to local historical islands, and sunset/twilight cruises to enjoy with that special someone.

One of the most beautiful places, with fishes at every corner of the lagoon and sea; pristine, well kept beaches, superb chefs and staff and personalized attention. As usual, the staff of the Taj is the best in the world. You wont miss your local food. The chefs can prepare food that's tastes as authentic as it tastes in your country. For Indian food their chef Kannan prepared some authentic and outstanding dishes for us.

It's a short 25 mins ride from Male airport. It takes all of 45 mins from landing to reaching Taj Exotica. The entire property is well planned, and the water is clean as glass.

Do carry a good underwater camera... there are beautiful fishes even in knee- deep waters, and big ones too!

We visited Emboodhu Finolhu Island a few years ago. It is basically for those who make a honeymoon, for relaxing physical and mental and many dives. The island is very small and walking it you see very quickly. You arrive there by boat from the Maldives airport to Male in about 30 minutes. It has now changed its name and it is expensive luxury. It is worth seeing the bottom with colorful fish and corals.

Except for the airplane noise and windy/rainy weather, loved the hospitality and resort.

If you want to see a paradise on Earth then this is your destination.I had a memorable experience in this must visit resort.

It was amazing experience the only con I found was that there activities were too expensive and therefore not many are able to do it. I believe if they bring their prices down not only will more people do it but eventually it will even profit them .

Other than that it's a beautiful lagoon located hotel. It's extremely people and really relaxes you from top to bottom.

It's a good place for a one time visit but I wouldn't visit again as it can get isolating. And if you want to be completely isolated and do nothing then that's your place !!

Went there for my honeymoon. Have to say one of the best relaxing holiday I ever had. Staff are so lovely and helpful. They welcomed us with drums and petals. Food is one of the world's best. Fantastic place to relax. Loved the spa facilities. Will definitely return.

The villas are well-appointed, roomy and comfortable. The beaches are gorgeous, as is the water. The entire island is extremely clean, everything is kept in good condition.

Service is impeccable. A polite staff member is always on hand to help. The answer to any request is "certainly" or "of course, no problem".

Food is surprisingly excellent. While the prices for both food and drinks are exorbitant - be prepared to pay upwards of $35 for a burger - the quality of the food is very good. The menu is varied and contains favorites from around the globe, all of which taste great.

Some reviewers noted the proximity to the airport. Yes, planes fly overhead when taking off or, depending on the wind, landing. However, it should be kept in mind that MLE is not exactly a busy airport. There are a handful of larger planes during the day, but it's hardly a problem. On the contrary, the short distance to the airport means not having to waste time and money on a seaplane transfer.

Visited a year back and i cant get over the hospitality. Was just going through the drawer and saw the parting gift they gave. Amazing place, great memories and love the food!

Great staff and food. However almost every activity is paid and quite pricey. Marine life near island is ok. Wouldn't recommend it If main purpose is snorkelling...

Loved the hospitality and food. Best snorkeling experience I've had in a long time. Everything on this beautiful little island property is Instagram worthy including the villas. Our butler made sure I have a fab experience by decorating the room and leaving us a little celebration cake too!

Dream come true. Great holiday destination by it self. Won't mind going again. Excellent staff.very well taken care of. My salute to Chef Abhishek for providing excellent vegetarian meals with personal attention. Chef Despande at Deep end restaurant for making my friends wedding anniversary into great celebration which can't be forgotten. Chef Putuel all are asset to organization. All the best to the hotel. We being always a fan of Taj hospitality reached with certain expectations here.... but the property, the location, and especially the team here surpassed all the expectations.

Would love to specifically thank and appreciate GM Mr Samarat Datta who is not only a great administrator but a fantastic human being also. It was very inspiring and entertaining also interacting with him .
