I was excited to find a lumber yard with some relatively descent reviews and ok prices, but ran into the same issue as a lot of other customers on here - terrible service. The sales reps are quick to take your call and charge your credit card, but not update you on the status of your order or even let you know when it has arrived.

I called for 3 days straight to get an update on my order and besides the rude receptionist who mockingly butchered my name every time I spelled it to her, I didn't get much in terms of customer service. When the sales rep who originally took my order and charged me for the lumber finally came on the phone, he passively explained that they were too busy at the service counter and he would need to call me back. It's been 3 days, no call back.

Would love to support a local business, but unfortunately experience shows that giants like Home Depot not only have the inventory and selection, but also the customer service part down.

I went to Tague for the first time today and it will be my last. While I patiently waited in line my husband looked around near the counter. A man at the counter didn't even acknowledge me, but asked if my husband needed help with anything. The employee then rung up my purchase and was curt and rude during the whole transaction. I won't be returning.

Excelent lumber at a reasonable price. (No Home Depot hook boards here!) The sales staff here is top notch. We come here first for supplies on all of our major builds.

Update: I am editing my post because we finally received our quote today. The salesperson was very sincere and apologetic for his slow response. We are putting our faith in this company because we want to shop local, so we are going ahead with our order. Hoping it all works out!

We tried to get a quote from Teague for materials. Steve said he d send the quote that day. He didn t. We called again the next day and was promised a quote. No quote. We called the 3rd day and was promised the quote in 30 minutes- no quote. Seriously, how hard is it to quote 38 pieces of Trex material? If you can t do the job, just be honest.

I HAD A. APPOINTMENT AT 11AM TO LOOK AT SOME MATERIAL. THE PERSON I TALK TO WAS VERY GOOD HE SEEMED VERY GOOD AT HIS JOB. I INJOYED MY VISIT VERY CLEAN PLACE.

It s the weirdest Company to do business with. I went there cause I specifically saw them listed as one of the distributors of the Jeld-Wen doors. Here s my experience with them. First they try very hard to sell you another brand of their choice. Like really hard. Then if you insist long enough, you ll get what you want. The transaction process is smooth - they take your money and promise to deliver on x date. So when x date comes around and you realize that (1) the order is late, (2) they did not call to provide a status update- you begin to wonder if the Company will provide some sort of rebate for the lost time and for not honoring their portion of the contract. To your surprise, the answer will be a straight NO and no apology is offered. Furthermore, after waiting for more than 30 days for your order to arrive, they will make you wait some more and say I m going to see when my guys are available to deliver your door. It could be tomorrow or next week. And finally, they will refer you to a very, small clause in the contract that says this is just an estimate. Meaning, they make sure to cover their @ss while screwing you up in the process. Well I have some news to the owners and management of Tague Lumber. Guess what happens when you do your customers like that? They will never do business with you again AND you will miss out on new business because they will not refer their families or friends to you. Congratulations on securing that short-term loot.

Peg Lumber is one of the most top notch lumber places in Philadelphia if not the best service is outstanding quality is outstanding but you pay for it so you get what you pay for great place I love it

Placed a quote online at 7am responded by 9:45am with a phone call and email notifying me that the file I attached with my request couldn t be viewed. I was able to resend and received my quote within the hour. Big box stores can t come close to this level of service!

The staff are very friendly and helpful. they did not have what I needed on site but they called other locations to find it.

I bought much of the lumber for my own home project in Media from them, (including a large lam beam that came in exactly as I spec'd it). I always received great service and they have a lot of special products that you cant find at big box places.

I thought I'd "keep it local", and I called for a quote in April of 2016 for some length Poplar 1/2" X 1 1/2" stock. Some call it "screen stock", and I hadn't found a lumber yard that didn't carry it...until I called Tague! I needed at least 300 lineal feet to start for an ongoing project, and I was put in touch with a salesman who subsequently left me a message. "It would have to be custom milled" I was told. "$2.95 a lineal foot" I was told. I called back and left a message for him to call back because maybe he had read the quote incorrectly, but never received a return call. I found the stock at Denoon lumber in Ohio for 25 cents a foot.

That being said, I do like their tools. And their millwork is, in my opinion, second to none. But c'mon...rake me over the coals for some ordinary lumber? I'm not havin' it!

Always seems they ran out of screws specially concrete s screws top cons as far price just a little more money than Home Depot since you get more selection is you are looking for tools beside DeWal tools.

I called them , they put me on hold and after 20 minutes I hung up and tried again couple more times without anybody answering the phone, then I called from my other phone and they simple hung up.
It was my first time calling this store, I normally use the Phoenixville and Media stores, they are awesome !

Jenn Campbell (an employee) gave my General contracting company (CMW GENERAL CONTRACTORS LLC) a hassle during our most recent order (05-15-18). We told her we weren't happy with the service and her reply was "you don't have to come back here!". As a business owner, I'm pretty sure that the owner doesn't want their employees turning away CUSTOMERS. No compassion! Rude! Taking future business elsewhere.

Prompt and courteous service. Better quality lumber than at the big boxes. Nice selection of fasteners, and anything one needs to get the job done.

Great service, knowledgeable staff and Quality lumber.

Going here for years. Much better then any big box store
