Great food truck, great location. There's normally a line up. But it's good. It's worth it good.

The experience was cool, the fish taco I ate was fantastic, the service was friendly and fast. I would eat there again. Cool location in Gastown.

There aren't enough good things to say about Tacofino. The food, the atmosphere, the music--all brilliant!

First night in Vancouver after a week at whistler. This place is great. We waited a while for a table but the host kept us informed and found a table for us at the bar as soon as it was free. We then ate at the bar which was fun as we were able to watch bar staff preparing cocktails. We shared 3 types of tacos - fish, pork and vegetarian. All lovely. Excellent range of drinks. The music is loud but enjoyable and added to the overall experience.

Taco wise it's 4 stars, but vibe, drink, people wise it's 5 stars.

Went for the first time today. Food was amazing, the nachos are so beautifully loaded. The tacos are amazing. Service was good too! Will return and recommend.

The staff here are always super friendly, I use to frequent this location before I moved out of the area but I still go out of my way to go back because they are THAT GOOD!

Phenomenal burritos. Personal favourite is the crispy chicken with guac, very tasty.

Pretty pricey but good tacos. If you're a big guy like me eat something else before you come unless you want to drop good money for just tacos.

Great food and amazing nachos! Pricey, but worth it

A very cool spot that I will definitely visit again ! This is a modern take on Mexican food. The large room was full of happy diners . The food was beautifully and artistically presented and Delicious ! My crispy chicken taco was.insanely good. The eatery is bright and clean , the staff very friendly. My daughter and I both had a bottle of Kombucha with our lunch and left satisfied :)

Not authentic tacos and quite expensive. If you come here is not for the food but for the cool hip atmosphere that tacofino has.

Carnivorous cravings? Tacofino's grilled wagyu beef tacos will satisfy all of them. Finish your meal with the refreshingly tart lime-curd vaso. Me? I'll be at the Taco Bar, eating my way through their menu.

The service was really good. The decor is very eye catching. Between two people, the dip + four tacos was more than enough. The blood orange cocktail was perfect.

I meant to write this review when I visited the restaurant a couple months ago. However, google reviews was not working on my phone. I would not suggest eating here at all. I ordered a taco and after I had eaten most of it I noticed an extremely large clump of black hair in the Taco. It was not just a strand. I showed this to the waitress and manager and they were very apologetic, said of course I would not be charged and even offered a free desert. I was very satisfied with this response and wouldn't mentioned this, except for I the shock I received when they brought me a bill. They comped 1 out of 5 tacos for a total savings of $6. I really was shocked based on the disgusting dish they served me. Anyways, I paid and politely left. I would, however, never go back and really hope this review makes people question patronizing this establishment.

Had my first try on fish tacos and was not let down! They were amazing. Had taste and crunch just the way I was hoping it would be. Great happy hour menu with drinks and food. Their homemade salsa is awesome!

I always order the fish taco. It is awesome. Crispy outside tender inside with just the right amount of fresh salsa. They are made to order. And I always get takeout and the service is always good.

Love them but 1. they need to have the cauliflower kale burrito PERMANANTLY on their menu please!!! its way too good and 2. more & better vegan taco options please! thanks :)

I could just come here for the ambience. I love the style of the taco bar - the decor is beautiful! Decent drinks. Good food. Coming here for a drink and snack is nice!

I love the atmosphere and decor of the place. However, I think the food is just alright, the dishes I ordered lacked depth of flavour and just tasted like lime (without me adding any). It s definitely overpriced for what it is, I left feeling let down.

Interesting little shop on Cordova. Was very busy when we arrived. We went for the burritos and found out to our displeasure that we could not order burritos in the restaurant... they were only for take out. This was unfortunate so we ordered/took our burritos home and enjoyed them on the couch. I'm not sure I understand the reasoning of not service burritos in the restaurant because they lost the sale of 4 margaritas on my wife and I alone. Food was good and I'd try it again (if I want to take out a burrito).

Oh, Tacofino. You give me pleasure. How can I even live without your fish tacos and margaritas?

Their fish taco and octopus taco are amazing! Service is so so. Chill place in general.

The food and drinks were awesome though I personally found it too loud for a conversation...but I think we were the oldest people there!

Good margaritas, GIANT tacos. Keep in mind they can be a little on the 'rich' side of taste/substance. Overall a good spot, but the lack of a signature dish/flavor means I probably won't go here again.

Very expensive and nothing to do with a Mexican taco

Pretty sure the waiting line is already a proof on its own. Is definitely one of the best tacos you can find in Downtown.

If you would like really loud music and chairs straight or if a medival torture room this is your spot.
Are you an aspiring hipster and dislike tacos then jump aboard the fusion train, don't forget to bring your wallet

We stopped here for a quick bite and it was awesome! Great margaritas! The food was priced reasonably. The food was delicious. Would recommend if looking for something quick or just to hang out.

The food is delicious- especially the nachos. Although I prefer a more inexpensive option of Latino food. However, this is a wonderful place to be with a group of friends because of the cool atmosphere.

Ate from there today both my co worker and I feel ill. Not impressed. Sub par quality. Too much batter on the fish and overall dry to boot. Will not be returning.

Delicious tacos and queso bowl. Had the fish, lamb and crispy chicken tacos. Very nice setting, with expansive bar, intimate back courtyard great for summer drinks. The staff, from the multiple servers to the takeout guys up front are very kind and helpful.

Being vegan, I've only tried the Vegan burrito, which is about 1/2 shredded cabbage, so it doesn't quite fill me up. Hard to justify paying $10 for a non-filling burrito.

Back in the city and this was the first stop! Thank you Raffi for amazing service.

Been to toco bar and the restaurant many times. Food quality is consistently high. Never had any bad experience.

This place is really good and usually packed. The fish taco is the best taco I have ever had hands down. Margaritas are a bit overrated and overpriced. Overall amazing place.

Fish tacos blew my mind. The walking Taco was tasty. Cool place. Salsa verde is magic.

Highly recommend the burritos. The take out side is efficient and well priced. I d recommend it over sitting.. then again the margarita jugs are totally worth the wait.

Great food, overall great service. Nice space with friendly staff and a food vibe. Need better happy hour cocktail and food deals.... $8 margarita as the deal price when most of other competition has 4-6 $ beverages and food features under $10

Hands down the best nachos I've ever had - fully loaded and multi-layered; the feta may have added the finishing kick...or was it the pico de gallo? In any case, a unique take on the classic nacho dish that knocks it out of the park!

Of course, this being Tacofino, the tacos themselves are top notch and the added bonus of this specific location having a bar/lounge-y vibe helps out it over the top as one of the must hit eateries in the Lower Mainland.

This one is a gem through and through.

Tuesday January 29/ 2019, I went in tacofino gastown to buy a burritos. I am not an ignorant and I know people behind the counter, if they r not seen by customers, they do all kind of stuff , but Tuesday was something disgusting. So I went in and I was shocked when one of the employees who was taking care of food, clean her nose with Kleenex on her hand with gloves that she was wearing to prepare the food. Then she took her Kleenex put in the pocket and continue to prepare the food with the same gloves. I hope the situation will not be repeated tho I know I will not buy from them anymore.

This place is perf, I highly recommend their scrapple tacos. They're my favorite~ Staff are really nice, the waits not long once you've been seated. I highly recommend going here.

The food was decent but the service was awful.. We were there around 3-4pm and ordered a nacho and two tacos to share. After we finished the tacos and were still working on the nacho (the nacho was more than half left), the server approached us and asked if we want our bill together or separate... I didn t know he really meant that we pay right now, so I told him we ll pay together, assuming he ll get us the combined bill later when we re done. But then he went on to ask if we re paying by card.. Then I realized he really wanted us to pay NOW, in the middle of our meal. And I had to ask him if I can pay later when I m done to stop him.

It was just apparent that we were still working on the nacho. It s not that we stopped eating and kept talking; we KEPT eating quite actively. I have never been asked for payment in the middle of a dining before and it was quite embarrassing. And it was our first visit here yesterday.

The atmosphere was good and food was decent, but I don t know if I want to revisit this place.

So delicious! I'm definitely going back! The service we got was fantastic! The good was so good, (I got the crispy chicken tacos). The tacos seemed a bit on the higher end of pricing, but when I got my meal they were much bigger than expected, so 2 tacos were enough to fill me. And the sangria was also delicious!

I spent 20 dollars, then looked for a place to sit down because my friends were coming. Once I had a table, an angry waitress came up and informed me that I couldn't eat my food in their restaurant. To use their tables I would have had to enter through the back alley (East Cordova) and put my name on a list. I had 20 dollars of their food in my hand and I was asked to leave their business. I waited in the front area (which didn't have chairs) until my friends arrived and we left. They took my money and humiliated me -- if you would like this treatment go to Tacofino.

Oh wow...! Ridiculously good food. So amazing. I will come back to Vancouver just to eat here again.

Memorably yummy fresh take on tacos and an excellent next progression form their success as a food truck. Location is fun in trendy Gastown. Great atmosphere, will be back soon.

Really good place. They have 4 vegetarian options, I liked all of them but I'd recommend the cauliflower one. Do ask them for their Hot Sauces if you are into spicing up your food, you'll be pleasantly surprised with their Hot Sauce collection.
