Friendly staff. Price is reasonable. The food is subpar in comparison to other local authentic tacos. Beans and rice were bland and the carne asada was tough. IMHO I think Tacos La Villa is way better.

The service was great and quick. Ordered the Torta am pastor and chorizo with beans as well as the chipotle steak nachos. The nachos were a large portion, the lettuce was crisp and fresh. The steak could have had a little more flavor--it included gauc, corn, beans, lettuce, and queso. I added onions, cilantro and salsa. The salsa bar featured 6 different types, unfortunately they were all lacking in spice and flavor. The rest featured limes, onions, and cabbage.
The torta was delicious and had a nice sweet pineapple flavor. The best thing we had were the chorizo and beans. The flavor was better than any I have ever had, overall 4 stars, but the food was just okay.

Ordered the Torta Cubana. The torta was very good: juicy slow cooked pork, savory melted cheese and a slight tang from the pickle and mustard. Only deducting one star because the chips were bland and slightly stale.

Fish tacos are not good if you've had fish tacos anywhere else you'll see they are basically flavorless... charged me 75 cents extra for sour cream but did not put sour cream on them had to call for refund. I don't get the white rice and beans with everything combinations seem odd dont really go together finally had something that tasted good and had real flavor the chopped salad but hold the guacamole and black beans please. Alot of things I haven't tried and I really wanted to like this place since I first saw it on atlanta eats but i will not be back. Not impressed guess u get what you pay for. Cheesecake factory and bonefish much better fish tacos.

I go to this place for lunch in a good bit because it's near work. These are the best tacos around. The owner makes this pickled jalapeno sauce up that is amazing but not too spicy. Everyone there is very friendly price is pretty good I would definitely recommend this place

I love tacos so when I heard about a new restaurant close to the beltline with great reviews, I had to make it a priority to stop in for a bite. The restaurant entrance is on Boulevard in the same building as Condesa Coffee close to Freedom parkway and John Wesley Dobbs. Perfect location to grab a bite if you're walking the eastside beltline or freedom pkwy trail.

When I entered the restaurant the bar was full and there were groups art two tables. The hostess came over and greeted me and asked if we preferred high or low tables....I love options. The menu is double sided and everything sounded pretty good. There's a large selection of tacos and tortas to choose from and other tasty items to choose from. All of the tacos on the menu were a la carte and surprisingly did not include chips or salsa. The best part of a Mexican restaurant is the free chips and salsa.... but you have to pay for them here.

We started with an order of guacamole and I'm so glad we did. This guac was so fresh and perfectly seasoned, it's one of the best guacs that I've had at a restaurant... nicely done! There's a salsa bar with a variety of salsas at different spice levels so i filled a few containers to eat with the chips that came with the guacamole. Each salsa i tried tasted very fresh with lots of flavor.

For the main course, I ordered a fried shrimp and a salmon taco. You can choose between flour or corn tortillas, I went with flower. The shrimp taco was Amazing and after the first bite I thought, why didn't I order two. The salmon taco was so-so, it didn't have enough flavor for me.

I would come back and try additional items on the menu and order the fried shrimp taco again. The service was good, convenient location, nicely decorated, casual environment and there new so I have to give them another try.

I only wish they had free chips especially with the price of the tacos.

I don't think I can give justice to Taco Cantina in a simple review. I absolutely LOVE this place! The food is amazing, the tacos are fantastic but the Cuban torta if out of this world! I'm from Miami, and know a good Cuban sandwich when I find one, and the Cuban torta from Taco Cantina is better than many I've had in Miami. One of my other favorite things about Taco Cantina is their topping/salsa bar... It isn't like what you see at the "chain Mexican" places where you get a giant cup of salsa with no taste, but rather just the right amount for your tacos or torta, and the variety and quality is so good! My favorite are their two spicy salsas, they are xxxxhot and oh so good! I have thought about asking to buy the salsa to take home, but didn't want to be that person. If they were closer to work or home, I would probably eat here 4+ times a week, but instead I pop in when I am on this side of town shopping and am never disappointed. If you haven't been here, you need to try it... You won't be disappointed! Oh and they always have a pretty wide variety of beer selection, so you can likey find what you're craving to pair with your food.

Really great food! It has that hole in the wall type of feel but it's not one. The tacos are the tortas are !! And very adorable. No free water or refills everything is out of a bottle or can. But water is only 25 cents.

A hidden gem where you can taste some of the best Mexican food in metro Atlanta. It's a small, no frills restaurant, so pull up a chair or order to go. It's worth the trip! But beware the hot, HOT sauce with the warning label in the self serve toppings bin. They're not kidding!

The tacos were authentic. They tasted really good. The food isn't over priced. They also have beer. The queso was great. I ordered two carne asada tacos and one pollo taco. Esta rico y deliciouso!

This is a tough review. I waffled between 3 and 4 stars, based solely on the tacos. The place is nice, drinks (beer and wine) are insanely cheap, which definitely helped their score. The tacos were good. Not great but not bad. The tortillas were bought, not homemade. The meats tasted well cooked and spiced. Not sure if I can put my finger on what's missing, but I've had better tacos at places on Buford Highway or Cheshire Bridge. Bottom line, it's a solid place with decent tacos and super cheap drinks.
