As a Remote Medic, Ski Patrol Medic and Rural Firefighter but mostly as Trainer and an Ex-RAAFie, Tacmed has been my go to for most of my First Aid and Training equipment. Their expertise and background prove they are leaders in the field - and have the equipment to back up their expertise. TacMed Australia, first beginning in 2010 is an Australian veteran owned and operated medical business and has grown exponentially in the last decade. The leading team members have specialised in this field so an individual can expect a more organised yet mutual and straight forward conversation in regards to their high-end products, absolute premium training services and any complications that can arise in any small to medium business from time to time.

1. The Products: 4/5

The products entrusted with this company are nothing short of premium, high quality and peer-reviewed , however, over the last few years, the products have gradually increased in price by 40%, which could be the result of either demand or sourcing difficulty. Being a past time hunter, I have a highly trained group I take with me in the bush and if an accident ever does occur, the products provided by this company can suit an array of emergency situations as the products are designed for this purpose.
From the highly commended and professionally reviewed Combat Gauze impregnated with Kaolin and the Generation 7 Combat Application Tourniquet, the products are an absolute must have for any type of medical career invested in emergency situations. One recommendation in future would be a more wider selection of Tourniquets, perhaps the team could research the newly T.C.C.C accepted Tourniquets on the commercial markets. It is suggested to watch the very informative videos presented by most products on their webpage!

The call time is fast and information presented on topics such as size, quantity, quality and the limitations of products is factual and apparent and leaves the caller well informed by the end of the phone call. Based on 5 phone calls, on average a waiting time of 15 seconds.

2. Courses: 5/5

Most of the courses provided are residing in Coffs Harbour, their current location, but some can be located in Sydney, Albury, and even Perth! According to other reviewers of these courses, the content covered is factual and presented with confidence and passion especially with techniques and how to engage a first aid situation with confidence.

3. Webpages and Social Media Services: 4/5

Consistent updates and posts made by the company and their social media platforms on Facebook and Instagram have their followers engaged in daily activities and events and are consistently updating their activities such as courses, draws, sales and how engaged the team are both nationally and internationally. Facebook messaging has a reply bot after hours and apparently does not leave the messages for the team the next day but technology is what technology does. Their working hours staff reply within minutes with an online query via a facebook message or email sent out in reply which is also informative and straight forward!

I have made a couple of purchases from Tac Med. On both occasions I was able to get exactly what I wanted, the products are fantastic quality, and arrive promptly. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting operational quality first aid products.

I have been buying and using medical kit, specifically first responder style equipment for some years now and have purchased my consumables predominately through the US due to their selection. However in recent times I have found it more convenient and similar in cost to purchase the kit directly thru TACMED and as such I will be continuing to purchase through Jezza here in OZ. I was on a course they ran in January of 2018 and it was run beautifully. The content and delivery was made easy even though it was technical. It was a great mix of different teaching styles. They also sell some great products and give great advice if you are unsure of what to get. They have very fast delivery and if there are any issues they are very quick to contact to notify me.
